Board 8 > REVIEW: Subway's "Reuben" Sandwich

Today, I, Quinton, the artist formerly known as Jeff Zero, shall review the "Reuben", a sandwich from the restaurant brand known as Subway. I sampled this fare alongside a package of Miss Vickie's Jalapeno Flavored Kettle Cooked Potato Chips and washed it down with 22 ounces of Fuze Sweetened Tea.

In conclusion, this may be the single worst sandwich I have ever had in my entire life.

Supposed to be corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss, and a dressing ( normally Russian or 1kisle) on rye.

Yeah if there's one thing that can be messed up it's the ingredients tbh

but a Open Faced Reuben, if done right, is astonishingly good

I was amazed when I moved to Illinois and I learned what a horseshoe sandwich was

Reuben is rye, kraut, corned beef (or turkey if you're a horrible person) and thousand island

We stopped selling them nationwide as of Dec. 31 so if you just got one today you probably got an old batch

I don't like kraut so instead I toast mine with onions

It's one of the best sandwiches Subway had and I ate it like 4-5 times per week for the last month

then again, if you're comparing a Subway anything to the same thing from anywhere else of course you're gonna be disappointed

you have to compare it to the other offerings at Subway

Its cleaner, really. It also gives you more room to put the ingredients that arent bread

I think it works well with reubens because they put the melted cheese and sauerkraut on top instead of compressing them between two pieces of bread.

Steak Sandwiches too but honestly those are just giant pieces of steak with a piece of bread beneath them

basically toasted bread, hamburger patty, french fries, and cheese sauce

I enjoy the Reuben. Only issue is that the workers are sometimes jerks and slop the kraut on there without waiting for the liquid to drip off and then you get soggy bread.
