I use ketchup or hot sauce, sometimes hot sauce for the first couple bites then ketchup at the end to cool off the heat. Yummy either way.

I've used ketchup on all major methods of egg prep (apart from benedict since that comes with its own sauce), and they've all tasted great. I just assumed everyone else did as well, but maybe they're only popular on scrambled eggs?

Ketchup is fine for eggs cooked variously when combined with hashbrowns and sausage, but eggs and ketchup alone is weird at best*; on something like a hard-boiled egg, it's completely unconscionable.

*I used to eat ketchup with scrambled eggs, but grew out of that habit years ago

I generally eat hard-boiled eggs in curry, or some kind of dish that provides flavor (they're also good with soy sauce pork)

Yeah, the thing is, my mom likes to boil one egg to complete breakfast if I'm having bread/toast with jam/peanut butter that day.

Eating it by itself is a bit...boring. Salt just tastes...salty. Pepper might be good but we don't really keep it (only cooking pepper) and I'm too lazy to fetch it. I have a bottle of ketchup in my bedroom though, so that's why.

I put ketchup on eggs when they are scrambled or over-hard all the time. Unless I have cheese on the eggs or cook them in a huge amount of butter.

Hard Boiled isn't something i've ever tried with ketchup and sounds weird but it can't be awful. I mean we mix mayo and mustard into hard-boiled eggs...and that's great.
