People keep whining about Morgana, but it isn't as if you will actually get any more done with him gone. It is the game making you skip those times, so like in P4, your MC would go to sleep early regardless of what you want.

It's a pretty common complaint. I suppose in an ideal world, there could be at least a little something you could do. Maybe the equivalent of a third of a normal thing like reading a book or studying, maybe texting with someone for some relationship.
But then they'd have to rebalance everything. I dunno. Ideal world.

The bosses haven't been too difficult so far, honestly -- don't think I've lost to any even once. Every so often my MC gets hit with a random instakill attack, though, and that's about it. Maybe my Persona-fu is better since I went through P4 last year.

I don't think too much rebalance is required. If you're playing the game blind, it's pretty hard to max out everything. Letting you do a little more would be appreciated.

There was only one boss in the game that was really frustrating. Strangely enough, it wasn't the final boss

I wanted to do a second plsytbrough to see the story again. My first run was on normal, even though I'd played the whole series. I started the second run on safety mode just to check it out. It's fucking hilarious. I never expected something like that from an SMT game. You literally can't fail. If you were to die(dunno how you would, safety makes it so easy), you just get back up. But what amazed me is how much xp and money I throws at you. I had 200k yen by the time I was done with the first palace.

Safety mode is the casual difficulty basically, but on steroids, it's basically if you just want the social sim and story stuff.

*you can't fail, if you die in combat, you get up and try the fight again.
*xp and cash gains are tripled or quadrupled, I forget which.
*enemies take more damage from you and do less to you.
*enemies are less likely to use Insta death spells

There probably won't be that much challenge on normal, especially if you've played this kind of game before. I played on hard and there were probably 4 or 5 bosses that I had to fight more than once. I'd also occasionally get aced by a random.
Not so much by the end of the game, because you'll have your guy built to survive, but a lot of those bosses will just straight up have attacks that do more damage than you could possibly have hp for.
Many times I'd be in a position where three people were defending, and the fourth had to take one for the team and use their turn to boost everyone else's defense on top of it. They would get smeared, but usually the MC would make it through.
And the ability that unlocks in the social links where they take the hit for you. That happened epically several times, and helped me choose best girl.

I played on normal and I can only remember 1 for sure game over that I got.

That might have actually been the only one.

Morgana fucking sucks. I like him as a character and all, but because the devs tied the plot advancing to him in the early game it really sucks any charm out of his character. Had they just kept the MC to be the one to decide to sleep, and not have his overlord cat tell him, there wouldn't be so much vitriol towards him.
