Not sure anyone's going to pick the same couples as me, but here were my top four picks:

Sagiri/Masamune (Eromanga-sensei), Moriko/Yuuta (MMO Junkie), Altair/Setsuna (ReCreators), Furuya/Minagawa (Tsurezure Children)

I don't know about other people, but I was hesitant to vote for that because a lot of the reason I'm invested in their relationship is due to material that aired 5+ years ago now. It probably deserves to be in but at the same time I'd also rather give newer couples some recognition.

Also admittedly I didn't like Hitagi Rendezvous as much as other fans did though. Thought it was pretty average Monogatari arc. (so still pretty good, but not like I was blown away or anything like I was with the one episode in Bakemonogatari)

Ok yes one of my votes in this category was also from a sequel but that's different for a few reasons

Araragi/Senjougahara?

I didn't vote for it at least. It was my 4th choice though, and I am still mulling over whether or not to switch it with my 3rd choice.

The problem is she didn't show up much, but the few times Senjougahara and Araragi where on screen were great. Like the Valentine choco, the Sodachi fight, and the Shinobu Mail phone call.

Yep. I dont like either individually as characters and the second is a huge reason why I quit watching the series. Anime couples in general are pretty terrible though looking at lists of the most popular/liked ones. There really arent many at all where I like both characters lol

I try. Kirito/Asuna is somehow super popular too. Like I could get SAO being popular even though I didnt like it, but those two were really boring characters. I didnt even watch long enough to see them become a couple because after 8-9 episodes the best characters in the show were ones who were only in like half of an episode or one whole episode lmao

Well Kirito/Asuna in particular got a ton better right around episode 8 or so, so depending on how far you actually got you might not have seen any of their good parts.

I still wouldn't put them among my absolute favorites at any point, but yeah.

Kirito/Asuna got really good for about 2 episodes, then fucking tanked when the shit kid showed up.

Nobody should be surprised that swordz hates one of the greatest anime couples of all time, though. He's was pretty vocal about it back in the day!

Note that I couldn't vote for AraSenjou in good conscience be because I haven't seen Owari and beyond yet.

B8's not a big fan of Madoka, and HxH didn't get great til long after 2011. Fate/Zero and SG would've been the contenders for the crown there. SG probably would've won.

From what I've heard, the ending of Haganai makes a lot of sense. It's only because the series does a lot of dumb stuff before that that it's a bad ending. Mostly due to Sena ruining everything at the end of the second season.

Soma winning was such a travesty.

I think Ore Monogatari was soma's main challenger at the time.

Mac makes a great point on HxH.

Heck HxH 11 probably challenges hard in the later years.

Fate/zero 1st season coulda won, but I don't see the 2nd season doing nearly as well.

Madoka > Steins;Gate > Guilty Crown for me. (Yes I liked GC a lot)

But then this year also has Penguindrum, Fate/Zero, Hunter x Hunter, and Chihayafuru jesus. Probably plenty of other "good" shows also, but like those 7 are all shows I consider to be really great.
