He asked me if I knew what the speed limit was. I told him I legitimately did not know (truth), and assumed it was 70mph (which is the interstate speed limit in PA). He asked me how fast did I think I was going, and I told him I didn't know... He said he clocked me at around 100mph, and the speed limit on I-95 was 55mph.
He asked me for my license, registration, and insurance. He then asked me if I had any tickets or warrants; I told him my record was clean (truth), and he went back inside his car. I was sweating bullets at this point... I thought I was going to get arrested. He used his PA system and told me to get out of the car. At this point, I thought to myself that I will DEFINITELY get arrested. He waved his hand for me to come towards his driver side. I obliged, and he asked if I wanted to go to jail today. I told him "I would prefer not". He then asked if I wanted a ticket today. I told him "I would rather get a ticket over going to jail, but I would prefer neither". He then said "you were going 114 when you passed me on my right; this is your warning", and he gave me back my documents. Holy fucking shit. I was ecstatic! I'm never driving fast again... ... As far as how I didn't know how fast I was going, I knew I was going over 90mph, but didn't know how much over because I was trying to pass a pair of "slow" drivers (cop in the middle lane, "slow" driver in the left lane). My intent was to speed up to pass both on the right lane and then go to the left lane cutting those two drivers off, before I had no space to do so. Basically, I was being a dumbass. ... Acceleration is what's fun to me, so flooring it from 65-85 is more entertaining than cruising at 100. I wasn't cruising lol, I was racing a guy on a crotch rocket.
