That being said, I was being serious when I said Rinoa's run hasn't bugged me nearly as much as it should have. I'm not sure if it was all marketing, but there are definitely two or three others I would've liked to see drop first, which is pretty impressive considering she's definitely always one of my bottom 5 in the field as a character.

personally, it only bothers me when she outlasts Squall or Laguna, so that's why i wasn't too annoyed this time. i mean going into today she was still the one i wanted out most but before that i always wanted Ariana out before her at the very least.

Oh, the last 5-10 rounds were incredibly stressful. I could literally feel my heart pounding in my chest when it was down to Squall and Ariana the other day because I thought for sure he was done.

Squall being second to Lightning has put him out of range for my support these last two years, sadly.

That said, I hope to eventually give every character in my top 10 at least a chance for my full support so Squall's time will come eventually! Last year was Lumina/Lightning, this year was Yuna/Rinoa and next year is already penciled in as Garnet/Cyan if I can get Cyan in. Maybe Terra/Squall the year after that!

I mean I definitely like Barret more and feel like hes definitely more likely to win, it just comes down to whether I want to help Eddv get the maharajah into a silly high placement for no real reason

Rinoa has a couple of boots to her name, but she honestly hasn't done that poorly aside from that. She's only finished in the lower half one other time, and she has three top 25 finishes, including a top ten. She usually finishes around the middle of the pack and occasionally does really well. With this performance, Rinoa boosts from 53.72% to 56.51%, passing Kain, Zack, and Cloud of Darkness for 35th place, making her the strongest character in the STATS with multiple boots.

Her numbers are better in the New Era. There, she jumps from 58.57% to 63.81%, moving past Jecht, Tifa, Faris, Laguna (for now), Hope, Terra, and Steiner for 25th place. In the Old Era, Rinoa was at 50.25%, good for 41st place between Basch and Selphie.

I actually checked beforehand to see if he would, and he won't even if he wins. Since he has more appearances than Rinoa, his gains are lesser.
