Alright. I'm sorry guys. After re-reading the whole GMUN thing, I get the annoyance. I'm really NOT trying to be obnoxious or play an angle or anything. I think I might be overcompensating for my general efforts not to be a celebratory dick when stuff I hate gets knocked out. But from now on, I'll just keep my mouth shut at the end of rounds.

Now that I have more time to write something out, thank you to everyone who helped SUPERSTRONG make this run. I still feel like she could have gone further under slightly different circumstances but at the same time this finish was more than I'd hoped for, if that makes any sense. When I said I'd back whoever survived between Yuna and Rinoa, my expectations were honestly on Yuna. However, Rinoa's true super strength revealed itself as she kept gathering new supporters and miraculous free saves exactly when she needed them.

It was a heck of a run and the Superstrong meme made it fun. Thank you again.

This is so far beyond my wildest dreams for FF2 and Minwu this year. Those of you who have been paying attention know I have been trying in vain to get a solid run like this for 2 put together for a few years now.

I hope we can win this contest but if we cant its been a HELL of a run so thanks to Lopen and even though hes moved on thanks to Laus too for helping get this run off the ground and to all the various people I have made deals with or who have come to save Minwu for whatever reason.

I havent mained a character to the top 10 since Hope and I feel like this was an even better run than that was.

That being said, I was being serious when I said Rinoa's run hasn't bugged me nearly as much as it should have. I'm not sure if it was all marketing, but there are definitely two or three others I would've liked to see drop first, which is pretty impressive considering she's definitely always one of my bottom 5 in the field as a character.

I AM being sincere though. It just comes across poorly. Like, you guys know I don't like FF8, BUT I at least enjoy Rinoa (and Quistis, to be fair), and it sucks to see her go out when, honestly, she was one of the characters I would RATHER have seen win, if it can't be something I truly like. And when I saw GMUN's post, my immediate mindset was "Yay, more Vanille support!" But I've also been spending a lot of the top twenty mourning Terra, Celes, Zidane and Tifa, all of whom are high tier faves for me that I just couldn't support this year. It just feels in bad taste to start cheering a character's death, especially since I've gotten so much heat for it in the past. So I don't feel right CHEERING Rinoa's death, even if it's beneficial to me, but I also want to thank GMUN for his future support. So I posted what I posted.

Like, if/when Vanille goes out, I'd really like it if say, MWC/Steiner, Janus/Tangy, Swordz/Voltch (those are the main voices behind Cloud/Kain/Lightning) were like, "I'm sorry for your loss, Inviso." Even if they're just kissing my ass because they know I'm likely gonna support their character next...it'd just feel nice. This is a stressful contest and I KNOW I take it way too seriously, but like, I'd appreciate someone offering condolences to me, even if they're half-assed and self-serving.

Plus like I said, I'm not kissing EVERYONE'S ass. I mean, I don't much care for Gau or Cecil, and as such I kept my mouth shut when both of them went out. No reason for me to be a dick after over three months of effort is ended. If someone actively dislikes Vanille, I wouldn't expect them to be like "I'm sooooooooo sorry, Vis."

But anyway, none of this matters, because obviously how I'm intending things isn't how they're being perceived, and that's on me. So I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be annoying.

I'll be honest with you. Outside of people posting the SUPERSTRONG meme, I don't really know who's been pushing Rinoa this far. Or Laguna for that matter. I know you back Squall with some help from the FF7 crew, but that's about it. FF8's kind of a blind spot for me. So when GMUN made his post, I was like "Oh shit, this was someone he was legitimately backing."
