As long as that includes Deadpool too. The two need to be on screen together with the REAL Deadpool instead of that origins bullshit version

I see absolutely no reason to include Deadpool in an Avengers movie from the standpoint of Disney, and it's really not a smart choice. It makes more sense to include the Avengers in a Deadpool movie. You can't break an R-Rating in Avengers. But you can add the Avengers (or at least a couple) to Deadpool and not hurt the brand for the kiddies.

21st century fox is keeping Fox Sports 1 only. All the local fox sports affiliates (FS midwest, etc) will become property of espn which could be a huge deal

Hopefully this also means we can just abandon the new X-Men movie (not sure how far they are into making it) and they can just focus on something new. Does anyone care about the new X-Men movie with how bad Apocalypse was?

I can't imagine we'll get any more Logan or Deadpool movies (or any other heroes) that are hard Rs if Disney gets control of the X-Men. Plus we'll get fewer movies per year, I would assume.

But big picture, this is probably bad. Always bad when you have a merger like this.

I could see them using Hugh Jackman as Old Man Logan at some point, since he's now in the MCU as a separate character from regular Logan (who I think is still dead? or did he just come back?)

i'm expecting little from it. letting simon kinberg direct it (who literally hasn't directed anything before) seems like a stupid gamble, and i'm sick of this "mystique is a legendary hero and every mutant has posters of her on their wall" x-men universe. i'd rather they reboot the franchise at this point.

Yeah, especially if they keep the Fox label around as a brand, I don't see why they wouldn't keep making stuff like Deadpool if it makes them money. As Cly pointed out, the Netflix shows are already pretty mature. It's also not like they're gonna cancel shit like Family Guy because it's not "Disney" enough.
