A) Mercy

Inner loser, still in panic, watches the number on the monitor slowly countdown. It started at 666, then ticked away as seconds passed by. He looks over at inner Chad, whos passed out next to him, then back to the monitor.

You wind up your whip behind you, ready to crack it at the Demon Lady.

She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath.

Inner loser flinches the moment the number on the monitor hits zero. Nothing happens. However, within moments, the Temptress gets ejected out of the screen, falling unconscious next to inner Chad.

Your whip disappears, and your vision starts fading. The sight of the Demon Lady gets blurry, but you can faintly see her getting subdued by a large figure behind her.

Everything goes black.

...

You spring up and immediately check your phone. Its only 9pm. No new messages. You look around and see that youre still in the cave, in front of the sizzling campfire.

Bub--sitting across the fire--waves at you, then turns his attention back to the tied up Demon Lady sitting against the cave wall. Hes awake now, so youre free to speak up, he says to her sternly.

She looks at you with reserve. ...Sorry.

Bub glares at her. Good enough, I guess. Dont ever fuck with my bros again, got it? If you got a problem, take it up with me.

She glares back at him. What would complaining do? Will it suddenly make you a competent Demon Lord and whip Hell into shape?

The campfire suddenly intensifies.

Bub sighs. Look, lets just be chill about this, alright? Can we do that? Just talk?

She looks away and clicks her tongue. Not like I have a choice.

"So, who are you and what's your deal?"

She jerks her head, flipping her hair a little. "Phoebe. I'm trying to make a change since you won't."

He raises an eyebrow. "You think it's that simple?"

Her glare intensifies. "Yes, it's that simple! Shit's fucked! Who else is there to blame but the leader?!"

Bub gets up and walks up to her. "Alright. So, you think managing an entire realm is the easiest job, huh?" He flashes her a devilish grin. "Let's make a deal then. You get to run the place while I'm gone."

Her eyes widen. "Wait. You're just--that's--you're gonna actually let me have the throne?"

He rolls his eyes. "For now."

She grins, but quickly returns to glaring at him. "What's the catch?"

First, dont attack me or any of my friends. Dont send anyone after me or them either. His smile grows eerily. Second, if you decide that the jobs too much, you lose the deal. And lastly-- he turns the campfire into a pillar of flame with a snap of his fingers, Im still the Demon Lord. Youre just filling in. If you lose, or if you betray these terms, you're officially my servant forever. We have a deal?

Her expression softens up, then she takes a deep breath. I accept. She bites the bottom of her lip with her sharp canines, which causes her lip to bleed.

Bub does the same, leaving a bead of blood sitting on his lip. He bends forward and brings his lips near Phoebes.

The campfire goes out.

A brief moment of silence passes by. Then, a deep red glow surrounds the outline of Bub and Phoebes figures.

The campfire re-ignites itself, illuminating the front side of Bub as he walks back to his spot and wipes his lips with the back of his hand.

You look over to Phoebe, whose hands are now free.

She gets up and pats herself, then makes eye contact with you for a brief moment. Her pupils shrink a bit from looking at you, then she quickly averts her gaze. This doesnt feel right. Are you sure its okay to just delegate an important role just like that?

Bub shrugs. Doesnt matter. Syour job now. He does some stretches, then readies his hand in the air. Good luck making the change I apparently couldnt do. He swipes at the air, ripping open a portal. He walks over to you and throws you in, then follows behind you.



You find yourself lying in bed, back in the guest room. Even after passing out, you still feel a little tired.
Bub emerges from the portal and closes it behind him, then he plops unto the open area next to you. So, how was Hell? Actually, dumb question, my bad. You got kidnapped and all. You okay?

You look at your hands. Theyre trembling slightly, still fresh with the feeling of the rampage you went on. Phoebes words echo in your mind--that you could become the greatest Angel or Demon, which makes you a threat. You look back at Bub, unsure if you should say anything about this.

[ Happy 2018 guys, sorry for the really delayed update lmao, was busy with the holidays but we're back on schedule ]
A) Power
I...I dont know if I am okay, you say, trying to control the tremble of your hands. Bub, am I still human?

Bub pauses for a bit, then sighs. Sorry. Truth is, whenever you make a Demon deal, I have to take a bit of your soul as down payment. He looks at you and notices your shaky hands. Im guessing you experienced a bit of your Demon abilities back there?

You ball your hands into a fist. I dont know if I want them. I dont even know what they really are.

Bub lies down on his back with his arms behind his head. Demon powers come from what you desire. He smiles smugly. Knowing you though, you seem to desire a lot of things, since you dont have a lot.

You dont wanna acknowledge it, but you have a lot of envy hidden in you. You always wanted what everyone had, since you had to live with the bare minimum. You think back to your fight with Phoebes group once more and connect the dots.

Bub, I think Im Kirby, you say frankly.

He chuckles. Whered that one come from?

I was able to use your powers. You look towards the door. I think I was able to use Allies powers too.

Bub sits up and pats you on the back. Atta boy! I knew I could count on your virginity!

You look at him slightly confused.
He grins. What you got is a really strong power. Power like that can only be fed with a really pure soul.

You droop your eyes a bit. I dont know if I should be insulted or not. Are you telling me that by not getting laid, Im able to get more power?

He looks to the side. Ehhh kind of? It just means you got a really strong sense of self. If you have sex, you basically share a part of you with someone else, he grins at you, unless you do like, threesomes or something. Then youre REALLY sharing.

You look at him with a tired face. I dont really get it, but Ill just pretend I do. You look at your hands again and notice that theyve stopped trembling. So...Im getting all my soul back, right?

He lies back down again. If you win the bet, yeah. But it wont be as pure.

I dont really care about that. You lie to your side, facing away from Bub. I just wanna be human again and get away from all this Angel and Demon bullshit.

He sighs. Sorry, bud. The moment you summoned me, you already got involved.

You close your eyes. I know. You dont say anything else and slowly drift to sleep.

Youre suddenly woken up from your door being slammed open. Its Valerie.

She starts running over to Bubs side. Walker. We have to get out. Weve been found.

You slowly get out of bed, still a little groggy. What happened? I thought this place is safe.

She tries to slap Bub awake. That friend of yours--Lily, or whatever--just gave us away. Her souls pretty fucked up. She gives one final slap to Bubs cheek, which rings through the room. I dont really have time to tell you more. Just go!

Sensing the urgency, you spring up and run out the door, looking back briefly to see that Bubs waking up.

Youre at the living room now. You see Lucy at the door tying her shoes. Behind her is Avery, whos carrying Lily on her shoulder.

She looks at you with sorrow. Im sorry...I tried to hide her presence for as long as I could, but I--

Lucy finishes tying up her laces. No time for that. Lets just get out of here.

You look around the room. Wheres Allie?

Lucy stands up and faces you. Dunno. She said some nerd shit. I think shes trying to hide our presence again. Itll be too late if we stay, though.

Its probably because you awakened your powers, but you can definitely sense that other Angels are approaching. Oh jeez. Were kind of screwed, huh? How are we gonna escape? You dont have your car with you.

Lucy grins at you. Oh a pair of large, ethereal wings sprout from behind her--her left one dyed black and her right one shines with white. Where were going, we dont need roads.

Avery sprouts a pair of white wings as well, which also reveals her golden halo once more.

Lucy extends her hand to you. Were leaving first. Ill take you along.

B) Stay with the Demons

You partially raise your hand to grab Lucys, but retract it after a bit of hesitation. Sorry, Lucy. I think itd be better if I stay behind.

She looks at you with concern. You sure? If you come with us, wed might be able to avoid getting in a big scrap with these guys.

You nod at her. Im sure. Besides, they want Lily and me, right? If were in the same group, well just attract more attention.

Her hand hovers away from you slowly.

Avery puts her hand on Lucys shoulder. We have to leave now. Cmon, she says, then makes her way out the door and bolts to the sky.

Lucy pauses for a bit and looks at you, then turns around and runs out the door, taking to the sky as well.

A few seconds pass by, and you hear the frantic footsteps of Bub and Valerie behind you.
Somethings not right, Valerie says as she adjusts her glasses. I still sense a lot of Angels heading this way. They should have started following Lilys trace the moment Lucy and Avery left.

You hear a door open up, then some footsteps.

Allie walks into the living room in her pajamas. She focuses her gaze on you. I cant hide our spot anymore. Im sorry to say this, Walky, but youre giving off the same presence as Lily was.

Alarmed, Valerie takes a closer look at you again. Oh hell, shes right. Your souls fucked up too. She looks to the ceiling in thought. This cant be right...you were fine just last night.

Allie materializes a purple whip, similar to the one you used before, in her hand. She cracks it, then holds it on her shoulder. Well have to figure this out later. Theyre closing in fast.

Just then, the walls around you crumble, turning them into debris which all ascend to the sky--the Sky which is populated with about a dozen Angels.

Oh fuck, yells Bub, this is one hell of a Crossing Field. We ain't gonna be portalling out of here.

One of the Angels descend. His long blonde hair flutters in the air. He kinda just looks like a discount Sephiroth. Beelzebub. What a surprise. He materializes a colossal sledgehammer in his hands. You're not my target, but it'll be my pleasure to bring justice to you. He snaps his fingers, and all the Angels start dive-bombing to you all.

You stand frozen, mostly out of fear and partially out of confusion.

Valerie kneels and puts her palms to the floor. Her hands start glowing red. Bub. Cover me.

Bub bares his sharp claws. Gotchu fam. He charges at bootleg Sephiroth.

Allie runs to your side and whips some of the Angels approaching you, rendering them paralyzed and dropping like flies. WalkyI need your help. I'm running out of energy fast. Do you mind if I borrow some?

You nod absentmindedly.

She closes her eyes and tiptoes to get to your level, then brings her lips against yours.

Allie drops to her knees and puts her hands to her head. Whoa...I feel a little light-headed...what happened?

Inner loser struggles to get the controls to work. Suddenly, a flash of light gleams behind him and he looks at the source--the Temptress.

She walks towards the controls, emphasizing her fully formed curves with every step. She pushes inner loser aside and touches the screen. It ripples, but it doesn't suck her in this time.

Your senses come back to you and your head becomes clearer. You look at your hand and see that you're holding the black whip again, but this time you're not losing control of yourself. You assess the situation at hand; Valerie is still a target for some of the Angels, Bub is keeping up with knockoff Sephiroth, and Allie is collapsed in front of you.
