My current car probably? I mean, I bought it over five years ago so obviously I've gotten some good use out of it, but it had some issues that I should have caught if I was more diligent. It was my first real car and I definitely rushed too much in buying it, but the car I was driving at the time could have failed at any moment. It's especially bad to me because I feel like I got swindled by the dealers. They said they have it run through a full inspection, but I'm pretty sure that's bullshit given the issues.

You guys are either very scrupulous buyers or have very little responsibilities in your life if movie tickets and video games are your answer

Some rather pricey work tools that included a high end laptop intended to give me enough power for on-the-go graphics work and client demos. It made sense at the time. That was back in late 2007, and thanks to the financial crisis it would be almost 3 years before it was ever used for that purpose.

Not only did I have to pay this stuff off while unemployed (more or less), but I never saw a penny from the investors set to reimburse me for the expenses. They had problems of their own, being affiliated with Shiny Media.

I bought mine at about 25k miles, which is nice, but on the other hand, I feel like I'm stuck with it for a while. It's not going to be worth much to sell (especially with hail damage that was too expensive for insurance to fix), and the mileage isn't high enough to justify moving on otherwise.

I NEVER trade or sell music equipment. However, back in the late 90's early 00's the 7-string guitar craze was going on and I fell into the trap. I had recently purchased a Custom Epiphone SG and didn't really like the way it felt. It wasn't expensive (around $400-500). I was in a music shop while in college and saw what I though I absolutely HAD to have! It was an 7-string Ibanez exactly like the one Wes Borland was playing. I traded in my SG (w/ custom case) for that guitar and a generic Bass case to put it in PLUS $400! Man, the thought of that now makes me want to PUKE! That guitar might go for $100 today, but that's life. Also, I purchased a Gibson V that I'd wanted my whole life. Literally 2 days after it arrived it fell off it's stand before a gig and the head snapped right in two! I've still got that guitar. I have a good cry from time to time.

Whoa! Now normally, I'd agree with you. However, if you look up online there are some REALLY cool things that you can now accomplish using that wasted Wii U of yours. They also go for pretty decent on eBay because of this.

Purchasing an Etienne Aigner handbag that cost me $1k. I thought it looked cute and functional and then it turned out to be too small even for my most casual of days. And after a while I realised it didn't suit my style at all.

I would almost say the real 300 pro guitar for rockband 3....but I played it for 6 months and then sold it at only a 50 dollar loss so it wasn't a big deal

GTX 660 Ti. I bought it right before the 760 came out and its price dropped by $50 soon after I bought it.

Bought a cts-v in 2012 just because I could. The frame began to rattle after six months, there were transmission problems when reversing that were build defects, electronics started failing after about two years.

Never going to spend that much money on a car again. I should have put a down payment on an income property.

There are locked characters that you won't even see if you're playing the game solo. The thing is a abomination.

I don't buy much without research beforehand, but the one that stands out the most is probably Paper Mario: Sticker Star. Yes, this includes non-video game purchases. I'm embarrassed to be one of the people that gave them full price money for it, which encouraged them to make Color Splash the way it is. Never again will I commit such folly.

Gave one of my exes a couple grand for a downpayment on a car, AND cosigned the loan for her.

Fortunately, even after we split, she never missed a payment. My credit never took a hit, but after we split up it was always in the back of my mind that she'd end up screwing up my credit.

I was more concerned for my credit score than the downpayment.

Well, I've bought a lot of stuff which I've never even taken out of the box so... I guess a lot of that ranks. Plus I bought a lot of stuff at the wrong time so I missed out on a discount, which always annoys me.

Granted, I'm often more likely to regret *not* buying something, since I either missed a great deal or something by procrastinating.

But, in general, I own a lot of stuff and maybe half of it I wouldn't have missed if I didn't purchase it.

Gen eds really are the worst, but that's not really an "education as an industry" issue since publicly-funded non-profit state schools have it as do schools overseas. Broadly speaking, gen eds fall into the traditional notion of a well-rounded education whereas you were more specifically looking for a trade-school type education where the focus is far more narrow.

In general, if I were to re-do college, I probably would have triple-majored. I had a really shitty guidance counselor whose advice held me back. As a result, I missed out on a lot of opportunities (including taking classes which got discontinued)
