Many addons don't work anymore. TTI and shit.

The worst part is scrolling the tabs is set at a max speed, I can't scroll as fast between them anymore so I can't have my 900+ tabs.

Fucking shit fuck

Oh, Firefox doesn't support legacy addons anymore. If you wwntt o continue using legacy addons, then you have to use Firefox ESR or Waterfox.

Why would you immediately update to the newest major update when you know you had older add-ons?

Just uninstall Firefox and download version 56. Version 57 is the newest Quantum. Firefox has an archive of older versions on their site.

This, but it's a pretty minor gripe, tbh.

Mine's actually using slightly less now than it did before. Just under 200MB for the same pages as when I checked a couple days ago due to a similar topic (at which point it was using ~250MB). And it's definitely faster.

I bet this is what does me in.

Same here. The only reason why I haven't jumped over to Chrome yet is because of the lack of NoScript on it. However, NoScript has not been good recently. So, I will most likely make the jump sooner than expected.

The new Firefox is actually pretty good, barring the extensions issue. Looks like some of the old ones are making compatible variants though.

That said, I doubt it'll replace Vivaldi for me.

Then that's your fault. Programs are set to auto update unless you go in and disable that which is piss easy on Firefox.

Like I said, go to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-older-version-of-firefox which has a link to version 56.

Outside of broken add-ons(which is expected), the new firefox is smooth as butter.

So it's not a signed add on? What about any ad blockers, are they unsigned and not working as well? That's why I still have FF 40 something because they said they'd only allow signed addons and I never saw anything like NoScript or Ad Block and some of my other extensions get signed and I'm certainly not browsing without being able to block malicious ads or scripts that run rampant over even simple sites like this.

This Firefox seemed way faster than the last one. Yeah, NoScript doesn't work with it (yet), but I'm sure there's replacements out there.
