Former Boston news anchor Heather Unruh held a press conference with noted attorney Mitchell Garabedian (who represented victims of the Catholic church scandal) to explain how in July 2016, Kevin Spacey sexually assaulted her son last summer on Nantucket.

Spacey allegedly got the 18-year old drunk, then thrust his hand down the victim's pants and grabbed his genitals. Spacey insisted he come to a private party and drink more. When Spacey went to the bathroom, the victim ran.

The matter is still within both the civil and criminal statutes of limitations, and the Nantucket police have begun a criminal investigation.

Unruh also implies that she is aware of a number of victims of Spacey who have yet to speak out that she thinks will do so soon.

In terms of bands and celebs banging groupies, I still think that's fine provided they're of legal age of course, it's sleazy, but its basically the perk of being at the top of a glamorous world. Some responsibility absolutely falls on the groupies in these situations to not offer themselves up to these people.

Louis C.K's apology is a massively mixed bag for me, he admits wrong doing and seems sincere but can't help almost bragging about it too, he also said the women were consenting (albeit he admits to the imbalance of power, so under duress would be fair to say/coerced) which isn't the impression I'd got from reading the accusations, so hmmm.

I have been feeling like vomiting all day since yesterday. I'm in a plethora of Brand New fan groups and it has been a civil war for the past 24 hours. The allegations against him are a little flimsy, so I'm holding out hope that they are either false, or at least partially false but at the same time... I can definitely see them as being true.

Unfortunately if you've ever been to any kind of Warped Tour type festival, it's pretty easy to see how this is more than likely true. Underage girls adore lead singers of punk/pop-punk/emo bands, and that was an especially big thing during the time period in which Brand New rose to prominence.

No one is escaping this without someone whose work they have enjoyed previously being caught, whether it's Louis CK, Brand New, Cosby, whomever. Everyone is going to have to figure out how to reconcile the art with the monsters who created it.

A lot of us have been talking about how Jesse's dark side and subsequent self hatred have always been evident in the lyrics.

What I'd like to see from him is either a fullblown lawsuit to prove his innocence like Conor Oberst had to do, or an apology and acknowledgement that he did what he did when he was a worse person and he's been trying to be better ever since.

Same I know one of my old friends from a previous job had a woman fling herself at him to avoid a suspension he literally had to leave and get someone else to hold the disciplinary, there are often to sides to every story and so we need to be careful of kangaroo courting in the stead of seeking justice. I don't need receipts personally, but I do need them to be handed to the relevant authorities and have them looked into accordingly. Admissions of guilt are another thing entirely obviously, but in the midst of all this I would bet everything I own on some devious fuckheads trying to get their own five minutes of fame or attention, or just trying to settle vendettas.

Note at no point in the above am I asking anyone to go and rattle alleged victims cages, just don't bring out their pitchforks until they're appropriate.

I disagree, and I'm not about to start lambasting people over gossip. People read into things as they want and it would be incredibly naive to start believe everyone having a pop about something currently. That isn't to say he's innocent but that time will tell, and right now everyone's falling on their own swords trying to be the bigger person. I'mma let the dust settle.

Having reread this, this is basically true, it's just worded in a way where the regret and apology is implied heavily without saying it, but an apology should've been worded far more straight forward than that. I guess that's why I felt so torn after reading it. Good spot.
