i don't tend to prefer one ethnicity over many for friendships. that's weird.

edit: actually, not weird. i'm privileged enough that i don't have to worry about being accepted most places. there is a lot to be said about grouping up with your ethnicity in terms of staying connected with community and culture in america. it's not something i do because grouping up with my own ethnicity (super white) tends to be in the guise of white supremacy and that's something i would never be part of.

Right now I'd say Asian, but in High School I would have said Hispanic and in Grade School I would have said Caucasian, so maybe I will land on African or Arabic someday

In grade school I had a lot of Asian and Arabic friends, and even one Black (!) friend. But then I went to a Catholic high school and never fully recovered. It's been mostly all White since then.
