I also feel like you'd like Hyouka. It's hard to describe exactly what type of show it is but I don't think it's what you're thinking. I see it get compared to SNAFU a lot, though Hyouka is a notably slower paced show I think.

Nah it's not gonna blow you away. But you're already a fan of the writing style, the camp is just played so well. Plus it is a really competent shooter.

Pretty sure Jeff Zero has played it and wasn't enamored by it.

And going back to Code Geass, I don't think Jeff Zero and I have ever been more of the same mind than we were about how terrible that ending was. We like a lot of the same things, but to different degrees and for different reasons, but we were completely in sync there. We even finished it on the same day despite not living together at the time!

Anyway, I'm reading the 8th Full Metal Panic book, and apparently Sousuke is just a tsundere magnet. There's a new character introduced in the book, and even Sousuke can't help but notice how much she reminds him of Kaname (and that girls like her seem to be his one weakness).

Sousuke Sagara is a really good character, by the way. Probably the character most similar to Squall that I've encountered.

But then again Tessa is the best female character in FMP and she's a lot like Rinoa. Maybe the question should be if Quistis were a tsundere and there was a legit battle in that love triangle instead of it being one of the biggest curbstomps of all time.

Personally my first guess would be "all of them", and from there it's just a matter of searching to find what the exceptions are.

No, tsundere is a term that describes a very specific trope and doesn't really have any other term to describe it.

Kuudere exists to give people another dere term when other descriptions for it already exist. It also covers a broader range. There's a reason why it's not as widespread of a term as tsundere or even yandere.

Kuudere isn't really a popular term though. I'm not sure I've really even seen it used outside of something like TVTropes. Yandere isn't really popular either, I guess, but it describes a very specific type of character. Tsundere is probably the only one a non-anime person would even know, but it also describes a specific type of character. Kuudere is just anyone who looks cold and unfeeling but really isn't, and that's kind of broad.

Well, it can be applied to emotionless doll girls like Yuki Nagato, but it can also be applied to someone like Lulu, Miranda Lawson, Tear Grants, or even someone like Squall, for a male example. I mean, the fact that it can apply to such a wide range means yes, you're very likely to find a lot of great characters, but it's still a broad term. Characters who are cold on the outside and warm on the inside do tend to be pretty good though, because just by nature of the trope, they're very layered.
