I had a mage with an empty hand, so of course he top decks 7 secrets in a row to win.

Skill based game though guys. Clearly I didnt play to my outs and misplayed into him drawing every card he needed on cue in order. Nobodies like skullbone say so, so it must be true.

Game versus Druid

Druid turns, ramp, ramp, ramp, lich king, frostmourne, ui, the old god that summons other minions (got mediv), death knight

My turns

Thalnos, glimmerroot (ui), kazakus, raZa, dragon fire, coin death knight, wild pyro multi spell clear, priest of the feast and horror, ui

Basically we both had perfect set ups. Great game.

When it was noted that Big Druid was a top-tier deck in the other topic, I did my best and put together a less greedy version of it with Bog Creepers and Dark Arakkoas to replace a Nourish, Kun, and the Deathwings. 16 cards are at least 5 mana, while 6 more are 4 mana.

So far, in 8 games, my Bright-Eyed Scout has hit:

I wish some of the epics I had opened were Treachery and Dirty Rat, I really want to play troll Warlock but I can't justify all the necessary dust. Right now I'm just running... Fingerlock(?) but with Gnomeferatu swapped in for a Farseer and Thalnos. On that note, I also wish some of my epics had been Faceless Shamblers so I could play a proper Handlock.

I did, finally, have back to back games where Gnomeferatu went 4-4 on the quality discard scale. Played them on turns 2/3 against a Paladin and took both Consecrations, and against a Jade Druid I hit DK and a UI, though I stomped the Druid so bad he never made it to 10 mana even with the ramp. Longest streak of good hits I've had so far.

Quest Rogue actually would have really dominated Frozen Throne tbqh if left untouched, especially with the nerfs to war axe/innervate/war leader etc

I didn't care for Un'goro meta all that much. One reason was QR. Another was that the cycling out of old cards invalidated my favorite deck, which came out of Gadgetzan and was only available for a few months. The third was that I felt like the expansion, overall, was a dud. There just wasn't anything interesting about it that I liked.

So I had back to back matches versus a big Druid as raZa priest. Its a pretty bad matchup for me and the first game I didnt draw raZa until card 18 and never got to anduin.

So second game I again draw raZa on card 18 but this time I was in better position and managed to barely live until card 25 which was shadow reaper. At this point the Druid has around 60 hp but I knew he used most of his threats and his swipes so I was sitting on Lyra and velen for like the entire game almost and eventually he ui fatigued himself.

If ulti wants a game where skill matters and knowing your outs, opponent decks, cards used, and how you can win from possibly some of the worst odds you can think of, this is a great game.

strategically held onto my gnomeferatu and two coldlight oracles so that I could burst him for 6 fatigue damage even after he started shuffling jade idols.

oh yeah then he took 4 more at the start of his own turn. so 10 total from fatigue. plus with my spare 2 mana I hit him for another 3 with the hero power.

13 burst aw yeah.

I'm playing a moat lurker shaman.

This deck is hilarious. Thijs was playing it and he's like this deck is not good, but it's great. You moat lurk things and then hit evolve and value. Also you can moat lurk the marin chest and when moat lurker dies you get another marin chest to kill. I don't know his list, but I made one that is not a complete disaster.

Not sure what the update from this morning changed, but the game is running like garbage for me right now. There's a good two or three second freeze between playing a card or attacking, and I'm pretty sure it's messing with how I see my opponents turns as well because I'm hitting the rope way too fast.

Lmfao so last night i had a streak of 9 games where I bottom 8ed Raza and Anduin (I lost all 8 of those games).

So i went to sleep and woke up and got basically the god luck game where I had Raza (on 6 though trough a loot hoarder draw), Shadow Reaper on 8, Ratted out the other guys velen and killed it with HP + dragon fire. Also had Velen, Mind Blast, Smite, Radiant, and Circle of healing in my hand. Like I drew one additional card the entire game.

The Draft: Got plenty of Beasts, double Kill Command for some reach. Let the hunt begin! Had to pass up on Daring Reporter though which is a shame since it's one of my more liked cards.

Game 1: Vs Paladin. I went First. Missed my one drop. Solid 234 curve. Got completely steamrolled every turn from start to finish. Loss.

Game 2: Vs Rogue. I went Second. No good early draws despite half of my deck being good early draws. Okay then. Despite that I was able to keep up in tempo for the first 6 turns and we end up going into a fairly even midgame. No win more cards like Scalebane or Bonemare on the board... yet. He gets Alexstraza off of Bone Drake to stay alive. Oh well. Loss.

I keep drawing Spellweaver, the fucking worst card in my deck, within the first two turns. Argh. And haven't drawn Kill Command a SINGLE TIME despite having TWO COPIES.

Game 3: Vs Warlock. I got a one drop but I went Second. Make a great Deathspeaker play on 3 for some massive tempo gain. It's all downhill from there. Win.

Game 4: Vs Warrior. I went Second. He emoted Astonishing twice for every single turn of the entire game. I had lethal on board + kill command from hand. He plays a taunt and then adapts it to have stealth. Whoops. Win.

See, these actually feel like 0-2 and 1-2 games. I'm loving this new (fixed) arena already.

Game 5: Vs Mage. I went Second. Going second 4 times in a row is perfectly normal. Mage has a one drop and I don't. Oh okay then. I draw... three... Eaglehorn Bows? I swear I don't remember drafting three of these! In all fairness the guy does play more crappy one and two drops even in the mid turns, so it's likely his deck is very light and he didn't just get lucky drawing his only one drop or something. I finally draw Grave Shambler after playing my third bow. Hilarious game. I end up losing in the end, with Spellweaver still in hand, because there is never an appropriate time to play this useless piece of shit. Honestly fun game though. Loss.

Went 2-3 but all in all it was not a terrible experience. My deck was kinda mediocre, and so I deservedly lost my first few games. Eventually I faced the trash 0-2 and 1-2 decks which I was able to beat, and ended up having a close game against another mediocre deck. This felt... fair. Like an actual progression scale from match to match should work. Basically everything that I complained about in the previous topics was absent from, at the very least, this one run. I'm hopeful about getting back into arena again as of right now.
