This. I feel like anyone who would call it "sness" are young 20 somethings that are more used to reading the "SNES" acronym than actually talking about it verbally. It irritates me to no end when I hear someone say "sness".

This. This. This.

It was Nintendo until Super Nintendo came out, then it became Regular Nintendo since the other one was Super.

Just like Nintendo 64 was called just that, no the Nintendo 64 Fun Machine.

"Sness" was literally the only thing anyone called it back in the 90's.

No. Literally no one called it Super Nintendo. It was "sness" or "Sega." Unless you were an old person, then everything was a "Nintendo."

Wrong, unless you were some fucking weird ass 19 year old playing Super Nintendo in like 1992 or something.

Kids didn't call it a sness though. Maybe in the 2000's people started calling it an S.N.E.S, but nobody fucking called it a sness until like five years ago.

No, where I grew up in Omaha everyone either had a "sness" or a "Sega" (Genesis, but everyone just called it a Sega).
Where I spent every summer in Denver the kids called them "Nintendo" and "sness" (idk about what they called the Genesis, no one in that neighborhood had one).
Where I visited my cousins in Phoenix it was, again, "sness." You people claiming "no one called it sness" in the 90's just never heard it where you grew up. You're the oddities. Most everywhere it was "sness" because it was an easily pronounced single-syllable acronym.

You shouldn't allow the weirdo kids to define reality for you. As a certifiable 30-something, I can guarantee that most kids called it "Super Nintendo" with the rest calling it "S-N-E-S" (about a 90/10 split). I've literally never heard anyone call it "sness" until recent years.
