I feel like anyone who would call it "sness" are young 20 somethings that are more used to reading the "SNES" acronym than actually talking about it verbally. It irritates me to no end when I hear someone say "sness".

god, absolutely. we called them the 'regular nintendo' and the 'super nintendo'. never heard 'sness' until the generation was deemed 'retro'.

It was Nintendo until Super Nintendo came out, then it became Regular Nintendo since the other one was Super.

Just like Nintendo 64 was called just that, no the Nintendo 64 Fun Machine.
