In the episode wherein Pam asks the people in The Office not to wear certain perfumes or use certain soaps so as not to upset her stomach while pregnant, was she being a bitch?

I feel like that's a wildly unreasonable thing to ask of your coworkers, but I don't know that the show portrayed it like that.

I don't think she was being a bitch, but I don't know if you can really expect everyone in a whole office to do that. Sounds like more of a 'if possible, would you guys mind helping me out by ...' type of thing. I'm not sure though, I've never been in that kind of situation at work

That's a more succinct version of my opinion

Women become very sensitive to smells when they're pregnant.

Depends on how you ask.

And how you respond to the answers.

what about if you are one of those people that get crippling headaches due to some perfumes/body sprays? would that change things. i'm not like that but i've met people like that, sometimes it seemed they where faking it but others I could literally see the pain in their eyes after being hit in the face with the smell.

that was me, I had migraines triggered by some fragrances used in an office. They had to implement a no fragrance policy. It did not go over well, but I had no other options. It took almost 3 weeks of going home every single day due to migraines to get it resolved. I didn't want to ask, i had to. :/

yeah. i've seen my mom once not buy shit she wanted at the store because they had one of those "sample" kiosks or whatever where they gave out free samples of food in walmart, and the person manning it had a fragrance you could smell 3 aisles down. and she was in pain, she nearly said fuck it and left her cart right there and walked out but I just ushered her as far away as possible as quickly as possible, paid for what we already grabbed and left.

I don't think anyone should ever wear scents to the office period other than basic deoderant. You're not there to pick up a date, wash the dandelion juice off
