As if the Hawks mediocre play wasn't annoying enough, they've had this weirdass schedule where they're only playing two games a week. So many three day breaks.

What sucks is that there's clearly going to be some 3 in 4 stretches to make up for it.

If the Wild can't beat Buffalo, then I'll wonder what good the four game winning streak was for. So many teams are in that 20-23 point range. It would be nice if this team knew if it wanted to actually pull away or fall down and die.

The Central is a real cluster right now, but it's hard to believe that St Louis, Chicago, Nashville, and Minnesota won't eventually emerge from it.

Gallant has to be the frontrunner for the Jack Adams this year, right? He's turned an expansion team that, before the season, everyone said would be historically bad and shaped them into what looks like a likely playoff team. Even in a fairly weak Pacific Division, what he's done is pretty impressive.

I don't know, the fact that they kept their position while playing 3rd and 4th strong goalies is pretty promising. I still think they make the playoffs (terrible division) and Gallant has never not been the best coach. I'm genuinely curious how many offers he turned down after getting canned by the Panthers because I have no idea why a team would hire anyone else during that period. Still salty the Canucks weren't able to pick him up.
