Just my grandmother on my dad's side. My grandfather on mom's side killed himself before I was born, grandmother died in car accident when I was 8, and my grandfather on dad's side passed away from cancer 2 years ago.

My grandpa on my mom's side died early this year.
Both of my grandmothers are still alive.

My dad's parents died before he even married my mom.
My mom's parents are still alive, but grandma has Alzheimer's and doesn't know who I am anymore.

Moms side:
Father died when I was young from lung cancer.
Mother died this past January. She was 91.

Dads side:
Father died when I was young, another from lung cancer. Both my grandfathers smoked.
Mother died in 2009 after she fell getting out of car and went into a coma.

Stepmothers side:
Father died, not entirely sure how, back in 2011.
Mother died a few months later, possibly just from being lonely. :(

Only my maternal grandmother and it's been that way for almost 20 years.

My paternal grandfather (Pop Pop) was really old. He was born in 1908 and was in his early 50s when my dad was born. He died in 1987 just right before I was born so I never met him. Just old age I think.

My paternal grandmother (Nanny...I guess that's how you would spell it) was way younger obviously, born in 1927 and died in 1992, about a month after my brother was born. I was 4 and a half and strangely have not a single memory of her, despite having vivid memories of going to the hospital when my brother was born (she was sick with colon cancer and a month from dying so she wouldn't have been there obviously, just saying that I do possess memories from that time). That memory is so vivid that I remember what was on the TV in the waiting room and confirmed it through internet records.

My maternal grandfather (Grandpa Timmy, my namesake) was younger, born in 1937. He died way too young in 1998 of lung cancer, exactly two days before my 10th birthday. His funeral was on my birthday and is still the worst day of my life.

Next April will be 20 years since he died and my my maternal grandmother (Nana) is still kicking. She's 80.

Appreciate it dude; her decline just came out of nowhere a month before she passed, after years of living pretty well. She lived a good life though, and was the only one of my four grandparents to make it to 80.

I am really surprised at the none votes. Makes me kinda sad. On my mom's side both are alive and in their 80s. I know my grandma on my father's side is alive, but I haven't had any contact with him or his family in ages so I don't know if my grandpa on that side is alive or not.

I was fortunate enough to have all of my grandparents still alive until I was in my mid twenties but they have all passed away now

My two grandfathers died within a year of each other in '04-'05 of cancer and a heart attack, both under the age of 60.

So 2/4.

I know I'm younger than most here, but reading this topic has shown how young my family is in general.

Mom's dad passed last year at age 89

Both of my dad's parents are still alive and mostly healthy, ironically

3 but one is in hospice and one has cancer so likely isn't going to stay 3 very long.

My last grandparent, my mom's mom, died in September of 2013. She was 90.

Maternal grandfather is doing well with his second wife. Did not meet his first (my biological grandmother) because she died of cancer in the 70s.

Paternal grandmother is 94 and fighting as hard as always. Her husband (my grandfather) passed away five years ago this week and I don't want to think about the nightmares from back then.

So, two.

All four - my last remaining great-grandmother passed away a few months ago

To clarify: My mom's dad passed away before I was born, and she barely knew him since he left them when she was 5. My dad's mom passed away a month after I was born, so I didn't know either of them.

Both of my remaining grandparents remarried afterwards, and so I basically considered their new spouses my grandparents since they were all I knew. Now I'm down from 6 to 1 by my math. Only my mom's mom is left.

The other two are certainly getting old, but seem to be doing fine.

None. On my mother's side my grandmother died over twenty years ago from cancer, and my grandfather two years ago. On my father's side...I actually don't know with 100% certainty the details because my dad doesn't talk about his family much, but I'm pretty sure they died when I was still fairly young. My maternal great grandmother outlived 3 of the 4.

2, on my mother's side. My mother's father is apparently running out of time. My father's father died when he was fairly young, and my father's mother died when I was young. Her immediate family kept her on life support without consciousness for a while which part of the family including my father resented, and and that's one reason I never interacted much with his side of the family.
