Although I do still think Ino's the hottest, Hinata is still top girl. I'm on the episode during the Pain fight right now that has her in it, I think it's one of my favorite moments in the series. And Naruto's reaction because of what happens is just plain awesome!!!

Yeah, it's a bit of a bummer, but Madhouse is notorious for not doing second seasons for their anime.

What's really sad about the news is that the director is gonna change.

Which inevitably means the whole style and aesthetic is gonna change as well.

Of course, we still don't know if it'll be good or bad, so we'll just have to wait and see...

At least the director, Chikara Sakurai, is somewhat knowledgeable about shounen/ over the top fights.

It's just a single non-filler episode and they're having a "council" or whatever about what to do about the hokage, he's said like 3 things and I'm very annoyed lol. ugh....

Is One Punch S2 gonna be based around Garuo (that "man monster") then?

I'm currently up to chapter 56 in the manga. One Punch is probably my favorite manga ever, it just does everything perfectly. The art is amazing, the plot, setting & story is brilliantly thought out & the action is the best I've seen in any manga. Its almost as if OPM is the embodiment of everything that IS manga, its got it all.

ugh, every time Danzou speaks I get irritated....He's also the worse kind of hypocrite. I bet if someone tried to go against his rules and what he thinks is right he would kill them, yet he went against the rule makers it was "justified" or some such nonsense.

Is the manga artwork that shoddy?

Not at all, the landscapes are just that incomprehensible in the lower layers, and not having color makes it really hard to tell wtf I'm even looking at. Some of the panels showing off the environments are just so chock full of detail thats its completely overwhelming, especially without color. The abyss gets very weird after the 4th layer. Having color and the motion from anime to put it all into context would make a world of difference, especially for the 6th layer.

In terms of technical quality the manga artwork is fantastic. After watching the show I figured a lot of it was kinema citrus's interpretation of the manga but a lot of it's practically just copy pasted from the manga, just with color and movement which really makes it awe inspiring.

Dang too late to edit. Finished the parts of the manga the show hasn't covered yet (so chapter 23-42). I still dislike reading manga but curiosity got the best of me here. Still good stuff, not for the faint of heart of though.

Also enjoy this song from the show that I listened to looped while reading the manga. It's a pretty unique song and gives the whole series part of its unique feel. Makes you feel like going on adventure.

Finished up Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni. I very much enjoy these shows, but there still lacks a good long running one with an ending.

I almost regret watching made in abyss this early into my watching of the seasonal shows. It was kind of too good and too unique. Everything else is gonna feel sorta flat and generic in comparison and nothing really seems like it's very exciting. I want more adventure dammit! Maybe I'll try to find a good rpg that focuses on exploration.

What happened to Sakura? She was so awesome in the beginning of Shippuuden. Now she's just...blah. I'm about to the part where she does her "confession" and while I don't remember all of what happens here, I remember I disliked her for it.

Of those I'm quite excited for shokugeki no souma. I'll enjoy 2 punch man but I doubt it'll be one of my all time favorites or anything. I just want made in abyss season 2 but we probably got to wait a while either way. Would be pretty happy for another season or 10 of yuru yuri.

Want to play Danganronpa V3, but I am stuck waiting for the voice patch to download, about 1.6 GB. Might as well do more Peach Beach Splash in the meantime. No complaints from me. Also need to see what all Crunchyroll is picking up for the new season.

About Index/Railgun, which I haven't seen, which series would you suggest first? I've read some arguments about which one you should start with, and now I'm all mixed up. It is said that Index has more cohesion about the world and narration. There's a really good story arc that's in both, and though Index does it acceptably, Railgun's version has a lot more emotional impact. Railgun is centered around a character and her perspective, but it lacks cohesion compared to Index, and also has a bunch of filler?

And GODDAMN what an opening chapter for the volume! Kuromine Asahi really is a master class on how to make a truly endearing and badass rom/com lead. Also, most manga usually END with a proposal scene but here, we get that AND more chapters for some maximum closure.

I'm ready for the end boys. Let's go!

One ep left of this old ova, so I'll probably watch this next. Am probably going to blaze right through it, especially if I really like it, but tomorrow is Hero Academia day, so I've got even more incentive to knock it out quickly

So I have continued to watch more of this seasons's finished anime's, up first was Katsugeki Touken Ranbu, to be honest I only watched it because the animation masters Ufotable were doing it and it was... okay, it looked lovely throughout but it wasn't overly interesting or anything, overall it was okay.

Next up was Kakegurui, I wasn't sure what to expect from this but it ended up being quite a bit better than I thought it would, the ending was pretty weak but the ride up to it was good, overall it was surprisingly interesting.

And today I started on 18if, the first episode was pretty meh all around but I just finished the second one and hoo boy did the tone change drastically, after watching it I'm now very interested to see how it ends

Watched the last made in abyss episode and I'm kinda surprised. The name "the challengers" threw me off. I expected the story to go all the way to the 5th layer but it didn't. It wasn't rushed in the slightest, and was basically word for word what the manga had with the exception of the info balloon sent up, that didn't happen in the manga IIRC. They also somewhat tastefully altered the hotsprings part since it shows riko naked in the manga and she is 12.

And to think, the anime still hasn't explained cartridges aside from bondrewd mentioning them at one point in a flashback. if you thought this was traumatic...Made in abyss is not for the faint of heart. I want to know whats at the bottom of the abyss so bad.

I started reading World Trigger. Its really good, it kinda reminds me of Gintama, One Punch Man & some elements of My Hero Academia, it even kinda reminds me of Bleach or a more light hearted Attack On Titan, definitely go check it out if you haven't already.

Kind of off topic, but I'm happy because I caught a freaking Entei in Pokemon Go today. It was almost entirely by chance too.

I use a local Discord server, but work schedule and no car made it basically impossible for me to get to a raid group. I'd never gotten a crack at any of the legendaries, but today I came across an Entei raid at a church (I thought we were actually still on Raikou). I saw a bunch of people standing around outside, but I assumed it was some church function. Then I noticed that every single person was on their phone, so I went over and inquired.

I stuck around while they waited for more members, got a few compliments for my Instinct backpack, and managed to keep two of my team alive to the end. Those things are seriously tough, yo.
