As far as I know, many places do not allow it as its very dangerous; it may be 'legal' but not advisable and many LEOs will stop it from happening.

You have no power steering as there is nothing to turn the pump. There is nothing to provide air to the brakes to provide power brakes. You are not able to maintain control of the vehicle because you cannot turn or stop easily and have to be in pretty good sync with the lead car. If the event of an emergency maneuver, things get ugly fast.

So basically all old cars shouldn't be on the road?

Nope, I am not saying that at all. Most vehicles on the road today have power brakes and steering. Those that do not are actually designed to run without those things and thus are able to operate easier (through a higher ratio steering setup, or other things.)

What? Do people really think that if a car's not on then nothing on it works?

i guess richie rich only drives cars made in 2017 if he thinks nothing in them works if they're not on.

i can't think of one vehicle whos brakes don't work if the car isn't on.

it's actually a safety requirement that brakes work regardless.

Again, they will work, but not very well. Most brakes will have enough vacuum in the system to 'brake' 2, maybe 3 times before you run out with the engine off.

That said, I gather you are trolling at this point.

Nope. They will be very inefficient after 2 or 3 times stepping on the pedal unless you have insane leg strength.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Do you think all cars run on the same braking system as buses/big rigs?

I'm going to let you in on a little secret, they don't run on air brakes. I don't even. Why are you trying to argue about something you clearly have no knowledge of?

Unless you're talking about the brake booster, but do you think that the cars brakes don't work without a brake booster?
