You have no power steering as there is nothing to turn the pump. There is nothing to provide air to the brakes to provide power brakes. You are not able to maintain control of the vehicle because you cannot turn or stop easily and have to be in pretty good sync with the lead car. If the event of an emergency maneuver, things get ugly fast.

Nope, I am not saying that at all. Most vehicles on the road today have power brakes and steering. Those that do not are actually designed to run without those things and thus are able to operate easier (through a higher ratio steering setup, or other things.)
