It's amazing to me that, aside from Frankie Grande existing and being a blight on humanity, my LEAST favorite cast member every season since 15 has been the winner. I'm including Paul in his coronation run here as well.

BB15's cast was HILARIOUSLY trashy, but for the most part, the potentially worst cast members got booted early (David/Nick/Jeremy/Kaitlin). Then you had the middle portion of the boot list that was either likable and rootable, or horrible and trashy antagonists. And then...you had the final 5. Four generic, slightly negative dudes, plus GinaMarie. The reason I hate Andy is because in a house with so much conflict, he wasn't a positive, likable player, but he also did nothing to contribute to the drama. He just sat in the background and let other people duke it out, then swept in like a conquering hero to take out the people who carried his ass for a long time. Plus he thinks way too highly of himself since the show.

BB17's cast is amazing overall. I think every person contributed to the season's amazing atmosphere save for two. Clay got voted out pre-jury and at least boosted Shelli's insanity. Steve was just another Andy with a worse social game. He took an amazing season, coasted on the heels of a strong alliance, and then won challenges at the end to boot the players that deserved to win the show. Steve winning is the ONE negative of BB17.

Honestly, with the exception of Paul, most of my hatred wouldn't be AS bad if they hadn't won the season. Like, if Andy or Steve loses, I don't care as much. Nicole...I'd at least rank her above Paulie if she lost.

What happened was Paul threatened that Kevin would be the target if he didn't throw the competition. Paul does not seem to understand that this is terrible jury management. Of course, Kevin would not have won this competition anyway. Involves speed he does not have.

At least this week could expose Paul if Alex and Whistle-Nut figure out the conspiracy. He's capable of doing so if he actually puts his mind to it, which is why he's the target over the dumbass with a rock where her brain should be. Whether or not he puts his mind to it is a completely different story. Alex can't figure out the difference between pancakes and waffles, so she's hopeless.

I predict Paul gets his way again and Alex and Whistle-Nut are split up... and nobody figures out that Paul is the puppet master. Because they es dum.

Cody is the Mayor of Ponderosa this season. And the first juror ALWAYS sets the tone. Thus, since Cody was mistreated by everybody still in the house except Mark, Elena, and Kevin, he wasn't exactly sent there on the best terms. Thus, each subsequent juror came into an environment that was bitter toward many still left in the game.

This is why the first juror is the most important one. You make them mad, you're in for a tougher fight. If the first juror is more amicable, the atmosphere is more calming to all those that come afterward, which allows them to get over their bitterness more easily. In this group, they're bitter toward anyone who treated them badly; if they recognize that Paul was the ringleader of bullying, they might not even award him the cash out of spite.

I do not understand why DoorMatt was allowed on the jury, however, seeing as he committed far too many rules violations and should have been expelled, with Whistle-Nut still getting to replace the nomination and send Raven packing. That would ensure that Have-Not rules were still something to take seriously.

Veto winner is: ....Paul, who plans on using it to take Alex down and put Kevin up. Or so he says. I don't know if that's the honest truth or not.

Maybe even in all of Survivor too? Thailand has a pretty bad final five but Jan is at least likable. Andrea ousts these 5 to spare RI.

Well, Paul gone dun screwed up then if he has put himself in a position to pick a duo. He shouldn't have tried to win it.

Paul uses it and pulls Alex, then Raven, Christmas, and Josh all see there is something shady going on with Paul. Paul can't do a 2-2 Vote and force a Christmas tiebreaker either for the same reason.

And if he doesn't use it, Alex and Jason know Paul is no longer loyal to them.

Thailand also has Helen. RI also has Nat Ten (even if she's not at all a good player, she's still a really nice girl). South Pacific is my least favorite Survivor final 5. I hated Sophie on the show, but started to appreciate her afterward. Coach is a delusional sociopath, Albert is a weasel (though kind of likable compared to the others), Ozzy is Ozzy, and Cowboy Rick was just... there. I hate or have no strong feelings toward almost that entire cast, so that naturally translates to the final 5. Even so, of Paul, Alex, Raven, Josh, and Christmas, I can't root for any of them. They're all such vile, venomous people and none of them deserve $500,000. I do think this is a less likable final five than South Pacific, overall, if this hypothetical were to happen.

As for Veto, Paul did screw up in a normal circumstance. He would be playing both sides in plain sight by obviously doing this double-dealing. Anyone with a brain would be able to figure out what he's up to. This cast, however, does not present a normal circumstance, because Paul has as much brains as the rest of them combined. Josh, Whistle-Nut, and Kevin have all been okay players, but they're still entranced by Paul and therefore just want to help him win at their own expense. They're not going to like the fan reaction to them basically giving up half a million bucks... >_>

I'm about to finish TEOS for RI and yeah, Natalie sucks. She's a total snitch on everyone but Rob. I don't consider her likable or very neutral even. A forgettable snitch.

Andrea was likable though.

SP could take the cake except Ozzy is definitely a major hero. And Rick is neutral.

Albert was my second favorite cast member in South Pacific. I love how blatantly sleazy he was in his attempts to pretend he was gonna work with the outsiders, but everyone saw right through him and called him out at the final tribal council.

Australian Survivor update from today's episode:
UGH! The more that time goes on, the more and more I can't stand Tara. That smug look on her face... and how giddy she is that A.K. - one of the most complex players there - is now gone... is just despicable .She furthered her hypocrisy by whining about how A.K. would never let her be alone and was always "spying on her" and then... did the exact same thing when A.K. got swapped to Asaga. You can't have it both ways, bitch. At this point, Tara is the only person I don't like. And by "don't like" I mean she completely repulses me. So immature, selfish, and hypocritical.

I was right about A.K. being this season's Phoebe. Incredible pre-merge player screwed by a twist at an inopportune time. He was a complex and compelling player whose level of observation was ridiculous and I honestly think he's an All-Star caliber player. As is Sarah, who seems almost Spradlinesque at this point with her incredible social finesse, sound strategic mind, pretty face, and ability to lie to someone's heart. Luke is highly entertaining still - he's really cocky, but playfully so, and his right hand man Jericho is having just as much fun trolling everybody. They're more like Malcolm than Ozzy in that, while equipped with an ego, they're aware of it and utilize it in a way to get people to like them.

Ziggy having the Super Idol is big - but it seems like this doesn't actually make her bulletproof? I must've misheard the explanation. I had thought it was a Tyler Perry idol that could - but didn't have to be - split in two with two different effects. There are three idols at NuNuSamatau right now, with Ziggy, Henry, and Anneliese all equipped. That will be fun when they go to Tribal in the next episode. Whether Ziggy's idol makes her the target or they just discard Michelle, who is overplaying socially and making herself stand out even more, I don't know. They ought to know Michelle doesn't have an idol, though they probably don't suspect Anneliese to have hers.

Favorites right now are Luke, Sarah, Anneliese, and Jericho. A.K. was someone to root for in a way, too. Tara is not and never will be. If she wins, I will look back upon this season very negatively; I cannot say the same for anyone else left. Even Locklan or Odette would be okay in my book.

I am hoping this season starts to get interesting again. These past few episodes have been a bit of a lull, in part because people like Tessa and Jarrad have taken a back seat in the edit. Those are two interesting individuals! Give us more of them! The other part is that it's been predictable vote-wise. I presume either the idol-fest at Samatau or the merge will bring insanity. There are a lot of people here to PLAY!

Australian Survivor from today (episode 13)
Tara is by far the least likable person on EITHER season. Nobody even comes close! She is smug, cocky, stupid (A.K. saw that vote coming from miles away), hypocritical, condescending, and just plain vile. She is the worst of Brooke and Sam times ten. I group her with the likes of Will Sims and Kyle Jason. She is absolutely repulsive and I have nothing nice to say about her. Therefore, I am going to stop.

Samatau was obviously losing, given how much they built it up. The clusterfuck of idols was bound to happen, especially when Ziggy started running her mouth and Henry and Anneliese used them as a currency of trust with each other and Locky. Henry HAD to given how giving the clue to Jericho made it look like Henry had it. Anneliese did not until Henry asked her outright, at which point she had to return his trust with her own. Lie to Henry and he won't work with her.

Michelle was such a badass in what she actually pulled off. She is way stronger strategically than I'd have thought. She was clearly on the bottom and had to do something, so she planted seeds of distrust toward Ben at camp, then reaped them at Tribal. Somehow, she got the vote to change AT TRIBAL. That's absurd. She not only said that she wants to be with the numbers Samatau brings her, but got Ben to confirm that he was a rat. Just WOW. She is a PLAYER, though she's going to try to bring Henry down next and... that may not go well for her.

Before Tribal, Jarrad picked up on what Michelle was doing, seeing as he's very good at the nuances of Survivor and is thus able to get people to convince themselves to make moves he wants them to make. Now he's picked up on what Michelle is doing. Why have we not gotten more of him? And why have we gotten so little of Tessa, who is delightful?

Why do I have to wait until next Sunday to watch more of this? It's so great. This next episode is probably the last one before the merge. Expecting the same as last year with jury starting at 11, even if the merge is one round later. Regardless of when that happens, this season continues to be great. I'd take this over Game Changers every day of the week.

It's also odd that Michelle is the oldest person left in the game. How is Tara only 32? She looks 42!

Re Australian Survivor:

I'm not a fan of Tara either - it was nothing like a blindside with AK, seeing as she was obsessed with voting him out since the start. Hopefully she shuts up about him now he is out and she may be a bit more bearable. Don't think it will happen.

Ben just proved why he was given a pretty negative to invisible edit I guess, as he seriously screwed up that tribal by himself almost as much as Michelle saved herself.

Merge will be interesting, but I get the feeling my favourites that are left will go fairly early - still should make for a good jury.
