Right-wingers, that means that your posts should be devoid of the words/phrases snowflake, cuck, SJW, "virtue signalling", socialist, and "librul." Left-wingers, that means no calling people fascist, Nazi, Trumpkin, or redneck. Both sides should be careful of accusations regarding sexism, racism, bigotry, extremism, and ignorance - while occasionally valid, such accusations are frequently misused and/or overblown; accordingly, most people have a built-in bullshit detector that starts firing off early warning signals when they see those terms. Do not use any phrases which imply that followers of an opposing political ideology are mentally handicapped. Acceptable exception: discussion of actual socialists *Acceptable exception: discussion of actual Nazis Note that this also applies to specific people. Democrats, stop calling him tRump, Drumpf, Cheeto Jesus, or any of the other myriad of unflattering monikers that have popped up over the last year and a half. Republicans, ditch calling them Crooked Hillary, Obomber, Hitlery, and Shillary (yes, even if Trump said it first). If you are not American, swap these idioms with those most frequently used in your country of choice (so us Canadians can hopefully get rid of the "Justin Trudope" and "Stephen Harpo" idiocy). Believe me when I say that, regardless of your political orientation or what you're talking about, just about anyone who reads your post - even if they agree with you - will roll their eyes when they see any of the above. If your goal is to actually convince a neutral observer (or someone who disagrees with you) of the validity of your opinions, you will fail nine times out of ten because you are making yourself sound like an 8-year-old who still thinks that peppering their argument with name-calling will somehow make it more convincing. Furthermore, by relying on shorthands used frequently in political echo-chambers, you are painting a picture of yourself that suggests that you are a zealot who is more interested in screaming their side's talking points instead of someone who is open-minded participating in a civil exchange of ideas. Bonus advice: avoid sweeping generalizations that ascribe negative attributes to an entire political belief system.
