I don't think a week goes by without me hearing something about him in some fashion, whether it's about shoes, or if LeBron's better, or if the Warriors could beat his Bulls team, etc. It goes on and on. Granted, I read about sports pretty often, so it stands to reason that I'd hear about him a lot more than maybe the average person, but I think pretty much everyone here at least knows who he is. Other than the president, he's probably the famous person who I most often hear about

Well, he is arguably the greatest player on the second most popular sport (in America), and unlike football one player can change the game, and they don't play with helmets on so you can see their faces.

Also his shoes will be famous for literally ever.

Well, he was the star of Space Jam >_>

In general, when you're the undisputed number 1, whenever a new number 2 comes along, your name is going to get mentioned a lot.

I can honestly say that years have passed between mentions of Michael Jordan from my perspective.

And that 90% of the time when his name DOES come up, it's someone online talking about Space Jam.

I don't give a single shit about basketball in general, though, nor does almost anyone I interact with on anything resembling a regular basis.
