Those raccoons were living inside the walls of a building . Who knows how long they've been shitting in there. So your impulse is to kill innocent animals. Those raccoons weren't hurting you. They're not hazardous. It's gross that they shit in your walls, yeah, but that that big of a deal. You could have tried to trap them, use repellent, used those electronic pest control things. There are so many ways you could have handled this that wouldn't have resulted in death, and a violent one at that. They're more than just animals that can carry rabies (and humans can as well). They are just creatures trying to survive, just like you and me. They mean no harm. Most of the time, they don't even want anything to do with us. You should feel ashamed of bricking them. i appreciate what you say but you have done nothing to get any sympathy from me.

Alright Pun, this is news to me. Only 5-10 feet? That's enough to kill an animal like that, and even if it's not animal murder, it's animal abuse. All you had to do is get the possum away from your cat. If violence is required, you have to do it in such a way that is least harmful. You want to scare the animal away, not kill or seriously injure it. And certainly not use football terminology when you're dealing with defense.

let's see what I remember

- Vaan - Young, impulsive, rebellious, wants to be a sky pirate.
- Penelo - Basically the foil to Vaan. While Vaan wants to FIGHT THE EMPIRE, Penelo doesn't want to rock the boat and doesn't want him to rock the boat either. She's overprotective and naggy and kind of annoying. Of course this dynamic only exists for like the first hour before both of them sit down and shut up.
- Balthier - Sky pirate, ladies' man, full of charisma.
- Fran - Basically an ornament for Balthier. Seriously I think she had zero personality, even less than Penelo. But she's a nice ornament if you're into scantily clad bunnygirls.
- Basch - Loyal knight. Pretty much a snoozefest. Also his outfit is lame.
- Ashe - Determined and stuff, I guess. But it's a pretty generic determination - she's not hotblooded like Vaan or loyal like Basch, she just exists.

I'm pretty sure I like Vaan more for Record Keeper than his own game. He's been a mainstay in my party for awhile.

Hell, I used him a lot in Brave Exvius early on too until I got, you know, better characters.

I got nothing to say on FFXII itself. I played like 20-hours or so on it and then just forgot about it.
I just remember money being a huge pain to get and I was always low on it.

It sounds like he mixed up XI and XII, with the former being the other MMO (and though it was declared content-complete back in 2015, it does still get minor updates, as recently as two weeks ago).

I was under the impression that they were joking about how MMO-like 12 is.

As far as the topic goes, I enjoyed 12 but not enough to explore the extra content, mostly because the International version was superior in every way and I wanted it but I didn't want to import it, so this will actually be good for me.

The characters are all fairly memorable for me though.

Vaan is that wide-eyed idealist rebel that really wants to be a ssky pirate but ends up being dragged into another person's storyline where he serves as a commoner's viewpoint for the whole thing. He's the player character because he doesn't know anything about the world outside of Rabanastre and it gives the other characters opportunity to teach him (and the player) a thing or two

Penelo is Vaan's childhood friend who is 99% of Vaan's impulse control, but really she serves as the innocent character that anyone can relate to, and serves to establish a bond between the party and Larsa. Sadly, she is cruelly underdeveloped.

Balthier is definitely one of the best pirates I've seen in gaming. He's genre-savvy and serves as a good source of theatre humor, while acting as the straight man to Vaan's naive antics. He's a snark knight literally, having been a former Judge and probably one of the two candidates for "actual main character". He's the polar opposite of Vaan, effectively.

Fran is an exile from a secluded race of bunny elves who serves as the party's mystic, even if she doesn't actually have great mystic powers. She's sensitive to the energies of the world around her and is actually quite outspoken by Viera standards. Also the scene where Vaan asks her age is honestly one of the funnier scenes in a Final Fantasy game (though still far from the funniest, simply because there are too many quality contenders for that title), made even funnier by one particular YTP I've seen of it.

Basch is a great source of familial angst, what with his twin brother being one of the major antagonists (not a spoiler, this gets revealed immediately after you recruit him), and provides a connection between the party and their most hounding foe. If there was a word for his role within the party, it would be "Team Dad". He's a loyal knight who is also very compassionate, but also suffers from low-key self-esteem issues that he keeps to himself.

Ashe is the crowning jewel of the party, which is funny because she's literally the heir to the crown. She is a woman who is consumed by vengeance, and drags the party along in her quest to find what will allow her to strike back at the enemy. She is the other contender for actual main character, but she is also undoubtedly the leader. She undergoes the most character growth, and serves as an interesting and unique counterbalance to the main villians: While they strive to free humanity from the gods, she's being manipulated into directly serving them. And ultimately, her group succeeds at the villains' goal before they do.

That being said the game still deserves a lot of its critique.

Possums are largely defensive and it takes a lot to even provoke an attack from them even when they're cornered.

If a Possum is aggressive, something is most likely very wrong with it and being run over by a truck would be mercy compared to what rabies does to them.

If you see a dog attacking your child, do you assume that your child was the aggressor and stand back and allow the dog to potentially rip your child to shreds, or do you rush in and find the fastest, most effective method of separating the two of them as fast as possible, even if it involves hurting one of them?
