Isn't the whole purpose of Wonder Woman as a character, to bring men and women together? She argued in behalf of the one male that showed up on Amazonia. Whatever the intention of the theater, I feel like they missed the point of Wonder Woman.

Imagine how bored Wonder Woman would be at a women's only event. Haha.

Now I know it says women's only, but knowing you can't discriminate based on sex, wouldn't it be logical to believe that it simply means they're promoting specially for women and not just saying fuck men? Maybe they wanted to bring on the idea of a "girls night" at the movie theater for the yop lady in DC. I think people take promotions and names too seriously.

The whole point of Wonder Woman is literally that a woman is useless if she's bound by a man.

Literally.

Well it sure as hell isn't "to bring men and women together" ... unless there's some sort of rope involved.

Feminists are generally incapable of recognizing irony and companies do this for headlines rather than sense.

Yeah, people are stupid because they think people mean the words that they say.

Modern feminism is about female preferential treatment, so somebody offering that is pretty clearly pandering to that, appealing to sense isn't as profitable.

Not one single person answered my question. Nobody called our theoretical woman a "special snowflake". Nobody wanted to touch the scenario. And the reason is because: a woman protesting a men's only event comes off heroic, while a man protesting a women's only event comes off petty.

But that in itself is a double standard. And it's why we shouldn't have events like this in the first place. They make you trade in your principles to see the victim come out on top. "Turn about is fair play" becomes a lot easier to defend when it's the underdog gaining the upper hand. But all it does is breed contention.

As usual, the response is more amusing than the action. Now I'm curious to see what these people do if he actually goes to the movie.

I mean he isn't wrong for attending. They legally can't tell him no unless he breaks a rule or something. It just seems like he's doing it for attention and making it seem more serious than it really is. I'd call a woman out on it if a bar decided to host a fellas night and she made a big deal about attending.

Actually, if you were familiar at all with comics, it basically is. Then again, you're a troll so you're probably just trolling anyway.

You mean nobody took your bait all that seriously, even the people who believe in the double-standards.
