"Listen to music."

"Yeah, that'd be nice," Raven says.

"See you two in a little bit, then," Robin says.

Raven opens the door and you follow her through. You set everything on the bed, Raven turns and opens the drawers.

"They're completely empty," you say. "Except for the socks."

"Well, yeah," she says. "I keep my cloaks and leotard in the closet."

Raven picks up the lingerie bag, then stops mid-turn as she looks at you.

"Don't look," she says, putting her hands over your eyes again. "You're not supposed to see these."

"Okay," you say, hands up. "I won't look."

You cover your eyes with your hands, and it's still another second or two before you hear Raven pulling the things out of the bag. You then hear the drawer close and the bag be crinkled and folded.

"You can open your eyes now," she says.

You put your hands down.

"Help me put away the pants," she says.

You go to the boxes on the bed and open them up. Raven sorts them out by blue and black, letting you carry the former over while she carries the latter.

"I'll put the black jeans in the back," she says as she kneels down. "You set the blue jeans in the front."

She carefully places the black jeans in the very bottom drawer, then you place the blue right in front of them. In the next drawer over, Raven places her various shorts. In the middle drawers are her tops, short sleeve and tank tops in the left and long sleeves in the right. You already know the socks were top left, and that leaves top right for the underwear.

"What do I do with all the bags and boxes?" she asks.

"We can just recycle them," you say.

"In that case," Raven says.

She carries the bags and boxes out to the hallway.

"Beast Boy!" Raven says.

"Huh?" he replies as he peeks his head out of Ops.

Raven tosses the boxes and bags to the floor, Beast Boy transforms into a dog and bounds over. He starts tearing into the boxes and tissue paper, then transforms into a cat to jump inside a bag and tumble around. Then he transforms back to a dog and shakes the bags around in his teeth. Beast Boy then transforms back into his human form, gathers up the boxes, bags and tissue paper, and hauls them away to his room on the other side of the hallway.

"Oh, I almost forgot about the leftovers," you say. "I'll be right back and then we can relax."

You go back down to the garage via the elevator, pull the boxes from "Beautifully Delicious" out and then ride back up. You hold onto the boxes as you also fetch your music player from your room. You return to Raven's room with everything, setting them all on top of Raven's drawers.

"What to start with," you say as you scroll through your music. "How about...?"

"We're supposed to relax to this?" Raven says with a smirk and raised eyebrow.

"Well, perhaps 'relax' isn't the right term," you say over the Wild~ wild~ wild!. "We just won't do anything stressful or exhausting."

You bob your head as you walk back to Raven's bed. She reclines back and you join her, you two both lie down and look up at Raven's blue-gray ceiling as you air guitar.

"You have all sorts of different types of music, don't you?" she says.

"Why wouldn't I?" you say.

"I dunno, I just don't picture a guy with Michael Jackson and Nicki Minaj in his mp3 to be the same guy that has KISS and Quiet Riot in his mp3. Actually I'm not even sure if I'd picture Michael Jackson and Nicki Minaj on the same list, either."

"Perhaps," you say. "But I could say that I... don't picture a girl with a snake for a stuffed animal--"

You pull Slithersby over and poke its face at her face.

"--to also have a squid."

You take Mr. Ink-credible and dangle him over her head.

"That's not the same," Raven chuckles.

"I dunno..." you tease.

Raven laughs a little more as you sit the squid down beside you.

"C'mon~, feel the noise," you sing softly. "Girls~ ROCK yo boys~! Let's get wild~ wild~ wild!"

"Wild~ wild~ wild!" Raven echoes.

You and Raven laugh and smile, then together you play air guitar while you both goof around with head-banging and little kicks of your legs. You and Raven laugh a bit again, she then arches up as she rolls over onto her side, and then slightly on top of you. She rests her head on your shoulder, smooths a hand across your chest as she reaches for your other shoulder, and hooks a leg with yours.

"What's this now?" you ask with a smirk and furrowed brow.

"I'm gonna rock my boy," she smiles.

Raven moves in and kisses you on the lips, you kiss back with your hand on her lower back. Raven keeps kissing, and moves to be completely on top of you.

"I'm your only one," Raven says between kisses. "Right? I'm the only one for you."

"Yes," you say. "Now and forever."

Raven's eyes sparkle and her smile is sweet as can be, she wraps her arms around your neck tightly and she presses against you before kissing you again for a passionately long time.

You move your other hand down and grab that leg. You pull Raven in closer, and she breaks lip contact to let out a giggle. She returns to kissing you, you squeeze Raven's bare thigh as you move your hand up.

You enjoy the taste of the root beer that lingers on Raven's tongue, while your hand enjoys sliding up smooth skin to cup a butt cheek.

"Mm! Whoa," Raven says with a surprised smile. "Guess we're getting wild?"

"Wild, wild wild," you say.

You get a handful of cheek and squeeze, while also bringing Raven into a deep kiss. Raven occasionally lets out a moan or takes in a deep breath through her nose as your lips and tongues press against each other while that naughty hand of yours keeps a firm grip on Raven's glute.

"Mm! Rorek, not so tight," Raven says, placing her hand on your hand. "You're going to leave a mark."

"Well, maybe you can dress up special for tonight," you say. "You have new clothes and all."

"I never would've imagined me dressing up in street clothes would be 'special'," Raven chuckles. "I don't think that's good enough a reason for you to leave a handprint right on my butt, though."

"That's a shame," you say. "I think it'd look nice."

Raven laughs as she rests her head on your shoulder as you smooth you hand over her beautiful buttocks. You kiss her on the forehead softly now and then as she nuzzles your neck and kisses you softly just under the chin.

"Alright, if I'm going to dress up all nice and casual for tonight," Raven says as she sits up, "I need to have an outfit picked out and then everything else washed and dried in the laundry room."

"Yes, I can get behind that idea," you say.

You sit up as Raven goes back to her dresser. She opens the bottom drawers and then the middle drawers.

"What casual clothes would you say are best for a poetry night at the Shadowy Scorpion?" she asks as she looks over her shoulder.

"Hmm..." you say as you look at the clothes in the drawer and Raven's body outlined by her leotard.

"I'm thinking black jeans, and... Well anything goes well with that."

"Make a decision," Raven says as she pulls out a pair of black jeans.

Raven pulls the tags off the black jeans, including the stickers on the leg.

"How about a blue top?" you say. "And probably short sleeve, given the weather."

Raven looks at the left drawer, and at the stacks of blue tops. She pulls out a couple different ones, like a plain blue, a blue tee with a broad, black stripe on the chest and a black-and-blue pinstripe.

"Are these good?" she asks.

"I'm sure they'll all look great on you."

"Stop complimenting me and choose," she says with a laugh.

"Well, are you having your leotard under it?"

"What?"

"I bought you undergarments for this very reason," you say. "So, are you going to have them underneath these or not?"

Raven looks at you with wide eyes and a slight blush as she slowly moves towards the lingerie drawer.

"When you put it that way," she says sheepishly as she looks away. "I'll go wash these first."

Raven slowly opens the drawer, but then looks quickly at you. After a couple seconds, you understand what she's waiting for, sigh, and cover your eyes. You hear her open the drawer a little more, pull everything out of it, then slam the drawer shut. You also hear her walk past and close the door behind her, you uncover your eyes.

You sit at the foot of the bed as you wait. Raven returns minutes later, not a pair of underwear in her possession.

"They're all in the washer now," she says. "Darks get cold water, right?"

"Right," you say.

"So, since you insist I dress normally from head to toe and for all layers," she says, "which top do you think I should wear?"

You glance at the various tops both in her drawer and placed on the bed.

"I like the tank top," you say. "Still in blue. Oh, actually I think this black-and-blue pinstripe would look nice."

"Okay," she says. "Black-and-blue pinstripe with the black jeans."

Raven sets those aside before putting everything else away.

"Now what about dinner?" she asks. "My last two chops and those bruschetta aren't going to be enough for both of us."

"True," you say. "How about..."

"Having dinner before? I can whip something up for just the two of us before we head over."

"Alright," she says. "What will you be making?"

"Um... I'm not sure. We have time, don't we?"

"Yeah, Shadowy Scorpion's poetry night officially starts at 7, so that the sun will be mostly set by then."

"We'll eat around 5, then," you say, "that also gives us time for your laundry."

"Right, laundry," Raven says. "I'll get the other stuff washed, too."

Raven takes the shirts she won't be wearing out of the drawer, but even that is a lot.

"Let me help," you say.

You make a basket out of barrier magic and put all of her long sleeves inside. Raven piles the t-shirts on top, and then she carries the other pairs of pants and shorts to carry them herself. You follow her to the elevator, down to the laundry room and up to open washers.

"The jeans can all go together in here," you say as you open one. "And any of the shorts that are denim, I suppose. Black tops in here, then blue in here."

You open two more washing machines and Raven places items in.

"What about tops that are black and blue?" she asks as she holds up the tee with the broad black stripe.

"We'll treat it as blue," you say as you put it in the third washer. "The jeans will need warm water. Not hot, just warm. Everything else will need cold water to preserve color and size."

"Really?" she asks.

"Yes, cotton clothes will shrink if they're in warm or hot water before put in the dryer," you say.

You press "cotton" and "dark" on the second machine, "cotton" and "light" on the third. The water pours in and you finish filling the machines. You add proper detergents and let the machines run their course.

"How are your... 'unmentionables' coming?" you say.

Raven checks the other washer that's running.

"It still has a bit of time," she says.

"We can stay here and wait for it to be over," you say.

"You just want to see them," Raven says with a stern stare.

"No," you defend, "it's that there's no sense going back upstairs if you'll just have to come back down ten minutes later."

"Then I'll stay," she says. "You go upstairs and prepare dinner."

"Alright, alright," you say. "What would you like?"

"I don't really mind," she shrugs. "Just something light, maybe? We can always get something at the Shadowy Scorpion after."

"Then I'll make..."

"Grilled chicken sandwiches. It'll give us a nice blend of casual and fancy."

"Sounds good," she says. "I'll meet you in Ops."

You exit the laundry room and go up to the top floor. You return to Ops and the kitchenette and assemble the ingredients. You find lettuce, tomatoes and onions in the vegetable drawer and bring those out to put on a cutting board. You look in the special draw labeled for storing meat, and find a plastic bag with a couple chicken breasts inside. You bring them out and place them on the board as well.

You peel the head of lettuce and slice the onions and tomatoes. You thickly butter up bread before cooking them in a skillet. You debone the chicken breasts and toss the bones while you fetch salt from the spice rack; it's really a cupboard, and that makes you consider getting the Titans a spice rack.

You sprinkle salt on both sides of the chicken breast before you set the meat on the grill. You flip the bread and then wrap what remains of the tomato and onion before putting them and the lettuce away.

While the chicken and bread continue to cook, you fetch the mustard bottle from the fridge. Taking the buttery toasted bread from the skillet, you put a dot of mustard on each then spread those out to form a light layer. You check the chicken breasts, just a bit longer...

You put the onions on the left slices to designate them as the bottom; it'd be different with a bun because of the bottom bun being flat. That aside, you take the chicken off the grill and see it's just right. You slap the chicken breasts on top of the onions and then put the lettuce and tomato on top of that before putting the top bread on.

"What smells so~ good?" Jinx asks as she comes in.

"My diner style dinner for Raven and myself," you say as you finish plating the sandwiches.

"Diner style?" she says.

"Well, in a way," you say. "If I were to define it, I sprinkled it with sea dust, put it on a raft painted yellow with heavy axel grease, then took it through the garden and pinned a rose on it."

"...What?" Jinx says with a raise eyebrow.

"That smells really good," Raven says as she walks in. "Way more than just grilled chicken."

"I'm guessing its the yellow raft with the axel grease," Jinx says as she walks to the couch.

"What?" Raven says, with a raised eyebrow of her own.

"I learned short order cook lingo while traveling through the Midwestern and Southern states of America," you explain. "Here you are."

You slide a plate to Raven and watch her pick it up.

"Wow, it even looks good," Raven smirks.

Raven takes a bite and even you can hear the crunch of the toasted bread and crisp lettuce leafs. Raven processes as she chews, then lets out a strong "Mmm...!"

"So it's good then?" you chuckle and grin as you pick up yours.

You bite in, and now you feel the crunch, as well as the squish of juicy tomato and soft onion on both sides of the tender chicken.

"How is this a light dinner?" Raven chuckles. "I mean that in a good way, because this is good."

"Well it's light in that it's chicken, and just the sandwich," you say. "If I'd prepared this like the place where I learned about American fry cook dining, it'd be all beef, with chips--fries--and a tall milkshake or a specially modified soda."

"Really?" she says.

"Yes, it was quite a great place, everything they served was fantastic," you say. "It was like a modern, American version of the witch's house in Hansel and Gretel, but instead of candy it had burgers and steak."

Raven and even Jinx burst into laughter, and Raven has to cover her mouth to make sure no chewed food was showing.

"Well now that I can smell them and see you eating them," Jinx says, "I really want one of these raft, grease, through the garden things."

"Wait, what?" Raven says before she chuckles again. "That's the lingo?"

"Close enough," you say before pouring you and Raven a couple glasses of lemon-lime soda. "Sadly, there's no chicken left to make these exact sandwiches."

"Then make me something else," Jinx says.

"I don't know if there's time," Raven says. "My... things... are in the dryer, and as soon as they're done I'm picking some out and getting dressed so we can go."

"Oh I have time while you do that," you say before taking a sip. "I'll..."

"I'll just make a simpler sandwich."

"Aw," Jinx pouts.

"Take what you get," Raven grumbles before taking another bite of her chicken sandwich.

You take another bite of yours as you go to the fridge.

"What would you like?" you ask Jinx.

"Umm... I think I saw there was a bit of ham or something?"

You look and see the package of deli meat. You pull it out and set it on the counter before putting bread in the toaster.

"Ham sandwich then," you say. "Do you like mayonnaise or not?"

"Yes, mayonnaise," she says. "And mustard mixed in."

"Ah, good choice," you say. "Any requests to the ham?"

"I dunno, as long as it's not expired," Jinx shrugs. "Do you have any suggestions?"

"Well, I have the mustard out already," you say, "how about you try it animal style?"

"What style?" both of them ask.

You evenly cover the ham slices with a thin layer of mustard on both sides, then cook them in the same skillet at the buttered bread from before. It doesn't take long, the ham gets toasty and the mustard cooks in very quickly on such thin slices.

"Ooo~..." Jinx says as you take them off the skillet.

The toaster pops and you take the toast out. You dab mustard on the bread and then spread mayonnaise, they mix as you slide the knife all around to make a pale yellow spread. You put four thin slices of ham on one slice then put the other slice on top. You then put that on a plate and serve with a glass of lemon-lime soda.

"Nice," Jinx says as she walks over.

She bites and you hear the crisp crunch of the toasted bread.

"This is good," she says as she smiles.

Raven finishes eating her chicken sandwich and washes it down with her lemon-lime soda.

"I'm heading downstairs to the laundry room," Raven says.

"See you in a bit," you say.

You keep eating your sandwich, as does Jinx with hers.

"After I'm finished here," you tell her, "I'll be freshening up. Let the other Titans know Raven and I have already eaten."

"Freshening up?" Jinx asks. "What exactly does that mean?"

"Shower and change," you say. "No sense in going and smelling like the sparring session this morning and the pasta from lunch."

"Hmm...?" Jinx says as she looks you over.

"Now now," you say as you shield your body. "We've made our pact."

Jinx rolls her eyes as she chews her food.

"Have you tried contacting Kid Flash?" you ask.

Jinx groans before swallowing and then chugging lemon-lime soda.

"I've been trying with texts," she says, "but he doesn't reply. He must be 'too busy' with Barry."

"Who?"

"Oh, er, forget you heard that name," Jinx says with a nervous look around.

"Okay..."

"I'll keep trying," Jinx says, "but I'm this close to calling it a lost cause."

"Doesn't that seem a bit fast?" you ask. "And I realize the irony when you're dating someone with super speed."

"Not to mention our little 'pact', as you put it," she smirks.

"Yes," you say, "I admit that Raven and I are also going fast through things. But you can't just dump blame on him for wanting you to be safe. He brought you to Jump City because he knew you'd have the Titans here to keep you safe."

"The fact he thinks I need other people to keep me safe is part of why I'm mad," Jinx says. "I can take care of myself, for the most part. And he'd be there, right? Him and The Flash."

"Maybe he doesn't think he and The Flash are enough," you say. "As you said, keep trying. But don't give up just because he doesn't say anything back."

"Then how long am I supposed to hold out?"

"I'm not really sure," you say. "The last break-up I had ended because she stabbed me."

"Whoa."

"You're telling me," you say before taking another bite of your sandwich.

"Hmm..." Jinx says as she takes a bite while deep in thought; she thinks as she chews and then swallows. "Maybe I need to say something that will get him to respond. Something he can't ignore."

"I definitely couldn't ignore the blade cutting me on the shoulder," you say.

"Thanks for the talk," Jinx says.

"You're welcome," you say before taking your last bite.

You finish your glass of lemon-lime soda and put your dishes as well as Raven's away in the sink. You leave Ops and go around to your room. You set out fresh clothes before taking your things into the bathroom and taking that shower.

The shower helps you feel clean and refreshed, naturally. You brush your teeth while holding on to your towel to make your mouth feel fresh, too. You return to your room and dry your hair before brushing it through. You grab your poem from your knapsack, and realize you haven't titled it.

You'll just leave it, no sense in worrying about titles. You'll just introduce it as "Untitled."

You tuck the poem back into your knapsack and exit to the hallway. You see Raven returning with her underwear, she scurries into her room without a word.

You continue freshening up by flossing, cleaning out your ears with Q-Tips, and trimming your fingernails in the bathroom. You also make sure you don't have any blemishes, such as pimples. You check closely, as well, such as in your eyebrows where they can hide between the hairs. You are clean from ear to ear and even behind the ears, so you leave the bathroom and wait for Raven near the door to Ops.

Minutes go by, but Raven has not come out of her room. There's still plenty of time, but you're still wondering what is taking her so long. You walk over and tentatively knock on the door.

"Raven, are you alright in there?" you ask.

"Y-Yes, just... Just stay out there."

"Okay..." you say.

You back away and return to where you were waiting. Raven comes out after another few minutes, and keeps checking herself up and down.

"Does this look okay?" she asks. "The only shoes I have are my slip-on boots..."

"You can tuck the pants into the boots," you say. "They're slim enough of a fit, aren't they?"

Raven looks at her legs, then bends down to tuck the cuffs of the legs into the cuffs of her boots.

"Like that?" she asks as she stands up straight again.

"Yes, that looks nice," you say.

Raven smiles softly and adds her unique belt. She walks with you to the elevator, but you notice her fidgeting.

"Are you alright? You seem a bit uneasy."

"I'm... just getting used to how it all feels."

"Well I'm fairly certain I'm going to be the more nervous one tonight," you say.

"No, I meant with my clothes," she chuckles. "Remember, I don't normally wear this kind of stuff."

"Right, of course," you say. "So is it everything or...?"

Raven grumbles and frowns.

"I withdraw my question," you say.

You two ride down to the garage and return to Shadowfax.

"So when the poetry night begins," you say, "we have our spots in the schedule, yes?"

"Yes," Raven says. "Languish said she'd keep a spot open for us, but there wasn't a decision on which of us goes first."

"You go first," you say. "I think I'll feel better watching you on stage."

"I expected you to say 'ladies first'," she says. "But sure, I'll go first."

You two put on your helmets and pull out of the garage. You ride over the water and back towards the Shadowy Scorpion. Traffic is a bit thicker than normal, perhaps because it is the weekend. You reach the goth cafe with plenty of time, though, and you get a great parking spot. Shadowfax stands, you and Raven put the helmets away and you two walk inside.

"Hey, Raven," Tommy says, his pale face lighting up; then he sees you. "Oh. Hey."

"Hello," you say.

"Good, you made it," Languish says as she walks over. "Oh, new clothes?"

"Rorek bought them for me," Raven smiles.

"They look nice," Languish says. "So, I know I told you I'd keep open spots but someone let it slip that Raven would be here tonight."

You all look over at Tommy, he looks away quickly.

"So expect a lot of people to show up really soon wanting to see you," Languish continue.

"Oh. Well, that's fine. This place is always packed, isn't it?"

"Well, when you're here, it is," Languish says.

"Wait, seriously? What about the poetry nights I'm not on the schedule?"

"About half as busy," Languish shrugs. "If Tommy's any indication, even goth guys are suckers for hotties."

Raven blushes, you smirk and give her a playfuly bump of shoulders.

"So which of you is going first?" Languish asks.

"I am," Raven says.

"In that case, do you two want to open the show or close the show?" Languish asks.

"Oh no, no," you and Raven both say out of sync.

"We'll close," Raven says.

"Then that means," Languish says looking at you, "you close."

"... Oh..."
