"Simply suggest to Jinx she find somewhere else to stay. We should ease her towards the idea, otherwise she'll get upset and dig her heels in."

"I don't see the difference," she says.

"But there is," you say. "There's a big difference between, 'Oi, pack up and get out!' versus 'We were thinking, and perhaps for everyone's best interests, you should relocate.'"

"I prefer the former to the latter," Raven says, looking back out at the bay.

"I should have guessed as much."

You two are quiet again, watching seagulls swoop towards part of the shore off in the distance. Someone must have dropped a lot of food over there.

"Where do seagulls stand in Summoning?" she asks.

"They're level 2. Simple birds, one of the first a Summoner learns to create flying creatures. They're essentially the gateway to other birds, like crows, falcons, hawks and eagles."

"Neat. Where do... Ravens rank?"

You smirk as Raven chuckles.

"Ravens, as they relate to crows, would be level 3 birds. Intelligent, but not that big, so it isn't as complex to create them."

"Only level 3?" she says, jokingly offended.

"Well, I did say there are still falcons, hawks and eagles," you say. "There are also owls, osprey, vultures and parrots among the kinds of bird higher than ravens."

"Seriously? Parrots?"

"They're smart enough to copy words, and they're very colorful."

Raven rolls her eyes and laughs.

"But I'll have you know," you continue, "bird summon constructs are actually some of the most useful for scouting and spying."

"Oh?"

"Of course. If the right bird is used, no one will suspect it as a listening device. Such as seagulls. You can use them in any coastal area like this to spy on someone at the docks. Or a pigeon, for going into an urban area. For anything else, the birds of prey are at least able to see far away with their telescopic eyes."

"Maybe we should work on those," she says, looking up at the sky. "Those could be useful for searching a city when a villain is on the loose."

"Exactly," you say. "But we can worry about that later. Right now, let's relax. Enjoy the sun and the breeze."

You stretch then recline back, feeling the wind sweep up from in front of you. Raven looks back at you a moment before stretching her arms and reclining back alongside you. You two are quiet as you stare up at the wide blue expanse.

"This is pretty nice, isn't it?" you say after a moment. "You can clear your mind, almost like meditating."

"Almost," she says. "But it is relaxing."

Time passes by quietly as you two soak in the sun and hear the sounds of the city echo in from over the water.

You hear the T-Car come around, you and Raven sit up to see it.

"I'm going to get that charcoal, and more milk," Cyborg says from the driver side window. "Any last minute requests before we get this barbecue going?"

"Ribs and steak would be nice," you say. "Any cut is fine by me, we can make this a fancy affair."

"I like the way you think," Cyborg grins. "I'll be right back."

The T-Car drives forward, hovering over the waters of the bay and to the mainland.

"Fancy?" Raven says. "What for?"

"Well, since we're going to talk with Jinx about moving out, I figured a nice meal would help ease things along."

"No, it's just a reason for her to stay around," Raven says. "She won't leave if the food is as great as it's been since you started cooking specialties for us."

"If we talk with her before Cyborg gets back and starts the barbecue, we can instead use it to celebrate."

"She's going to see right through that," she says.

"Then, I will talk with her before Cyborg gets back."

"Really?" she says.

"Well, you want her to move out, don't you?"

"Yeah."

"Then let me talk to her, and have ribs and steak to be a delicious send-off."

Raven pouts, but doesn't say anything more.

"In that case," you say before leaning over to her. "I'll be right back."

You give Raven a peck on the cheek then get up and walk to the tower. You enter the lobby, go back up the elevator and return to Ops. Jinx isn't there, but Starfire, Beast Boy and Silkie are.

"Hello, Rorek," Starfire smiles as she spins around with Silkie held out in her hands.

"Hello," you say. "Have either of you seen Jinx?"

"She said she was bored so she went to her room," Beast Boy says between being a green Labrador and a green fox.

"Alright, I'll check there. By the way... What're you doing?"

"Silkie is still very much a baby giant silk work," Starfire explains, "and he was frightened to tears from something we were watching on television. This calms him down."

"Um... I'll take your word for it."

You leave Ops again and go around to the hallway and down to Jinx's room.

*knock knock* "Jinx? Are you in there?"

"Uh, y-yes, hold on," she says.

It sounds like she's fumbling with something. You hear a drawer close rather suddenly, too. Then, Jinx opens the door, hair a bit of a mess, and her clothes a bit wrinkled.

"Is everything alright?" you ask her, looking past her and into the room; the drawers are out of sight, but the bed is also a mess.

"No, yeah, I'm fine," she says with a dismissive wave of the hand. "What's up?"

"Well," you say. "I was thinking it over. After our... heated discussion with Kid Flash, I had to admit that, it isn't fair to any of us that you are here, allowing for temptation, desire, things of that nature. So, and I suggest this politely and in the best interest of everyone, that you do relocate."

"You're kicking me out?" she says.

"No! This is just a suggestion. No one has a problem with you being here-"

"Other than Kid Flash and Raven?"

"An argument could be made that Raven doesn't like you being here," you say quickly. "But! No one is forcing you to leave."

Jinx smooths her hair as she looks off to one side, a look of contemplation on her face.

"Well, I was considering it myself," she shrugs. "I told Kid Flash he could drop me off at Titans North but he didn't want to. I guess I could go there."

"So, you're agreeing to the idea of moving out?"

"Yeah," she shrugs again. "You've got a point, it's too annoying having you and Raven, and then Robin and Starfire, making me all jealous and stuff. I'll go up North, give Argent someone to have girl time with."

"That's very considerate of you," you say. "In which case, we'll make today's barbecue your going-away party."

"Sweet," Jinx smiles. "But, um, I'm actually not sure how I'd get to Titans North. It's one thing with a speedster boyfriend bringing me there, but the US-Canadian border is kinda far."

"Well, I'm sure there's a way for the Titans here to fly you out there, or for the Titans North to come get you," you say.

"True," she says. "So, back to this thing about making it a going-away party. Are we going to do anything special? I mean, burgers and hot dogs are nice, but that's not much."

"We can do party games," you say. "I'm not really sure what, though. Limbo, horse shoes, things like that."

"Limbo might be alright but horse shoes? Really?"

"I'll have you know that the way my family plays horse shoes, it doesn't seem so archaic. But limbo should be fun."

"Okay," she says. "I'll call Argent and see if they're okay with taking me."

"Alright. See you on the roof."

You go back to the elevator, back down to ground level and back outside to where Raven rests, looking up at the sky.

"How'd your idea go?" she asks.

"She's fine with it," you say. "She's giving the Titans North a call as we speak to see if they can make room for her."

"Oh," she says. "That's great."

"Yes," you say, "and we're going to play limbo at the barbecue."

"Wait. Seriously?"

"Would you rather play horse shoes?"

Raven laughs while you sit down beside her.

"Have you ever participated in a game of Limbo?" she asks.

"Have you?" you counter.

"No," she says. "Wait, have you?"

"Of course," you say. "I told you about the tropical holidays my family took. We all played limbo on the beach, we grandkids, that is."

"Were there any of your lady suitors on these trips?" she asks.

"No, not a one," you say. "Those were our family getaways, just for us. ... Actually, maybe getting away from the other families was the whole reason for our holidays. Huh. That definitely puts my childhood in perspective..."

"Well now you'll have your number one playing limbo with you," Raven smirks as she sits up.

She leans against you, giving you a peck on the cheek in return for the one you gave her.

You two sit together quietly again, watching as other people go about their lives. You then see Cyborg and the T-Car return, so you and Raven stand up, brush yourselves off and follow behind to the garage.

"Welcome back," you say as he parks.

"Thanks," he says. "Help me bring these up, would you?"

The trunk opens, he lifts the hefty bag of charcoal, you and Raven take care of the grocery bags of meat. You three ride the elevator up to Ops, then head to the stairs to the roof. You arrive to see Robin has already set up the grill and a table with plates, the hot dogs, buns, etc.

"Alright," Robin and Cyborg say as they high-five.

"Great timing," Robin says. "I'll let the others know we're about to start."

Robin heads downstairs while Cyborg mans the grill.

"Been a whole year," Cyborg says, "time to fire this bad booy up again."

Cyborg puts in the coal and lighter fluid, then sparks it up with a lighter from his finger.

"Aw yeah," he grins as the flames start right up.

He sets the literal grill in place over the flames while you and Raven set the new meats down on the table.

"You two are already here," Cyborg says to you and Raven. "What would you like?"

"Well, seeing as how they're right in front of us," you say.

"Steak," you say.

You pick up one of the ten Porterhouse cuts and peel it out of its packaging.

"Get it halfway between mooing and the saddle," you say.

"You gotta give me your fry cook encyclopedia one of these days," Cyborg says.

"Sorry," you say as you hand the steak over. "Mooing is rare, the saddle is well-done."

"Oh, that makes sense," he says. "So just medium then?"

"Yes, please," you say.

"Alright," Cyborg says as he slaps that on the grill. "What about you, Raven?"

"Um... I'll have a steak, too. Well-don--"

"No...!" you and Cyborg say.

"What?" she says with a confused and grumpy look.

"Doing a steak well-done, you might as well have a hamburger," you say, pointing to the ground beef.

"Fine," she says, "then I'll have a hamburger."

"Honestly, Raven," you say with a smirk that's only slightly haughty. "I would've thought you'd enjoy a juicy steak, red with blood."

"I like death, not gore," she says. "If that makes sense."

"Well, alright," you say. "I'll make sure you have a proper, 'luxurious' burger."

"And how's that?" she chuckles.

"Well, for one thing," you say as you take ground beef and mold it into a patty. "The meat will be nice and thick with one little trick."

You press your thumb into the center of the meat to make an indentation, neither deep nor shallow.

"This will prevent the patty from shrinking when it's cooked," you say. "Then let's put some good seasoning on it."

You sprinkle salt and pepper on the patty, rubbing it in on both sides.

"Now we can burn one," you say as you put it on the grill, "and, sadly, make it a hockey puck."

"Okay, that one makes some sense," Cyborg chuckles with a grin.

"What's the big deal with having it well-done?" she asks. "It's how fast food places do it."

"Yes, and while that's all well and good," you say, "you should want one the way a gourmet restaurant would do."

"You mean the diners you learned from?" she smirks.

"Yes," you say. "Which means we should..."

"Drag it through Wisconsin and make it cry."

You prepare cheese and chopped onions with the buns.

Robin returns with Beast Boy, Starfire, Silkie, and Jinx.

"Smells great already," Robin says.

"Speak for yourself, dude," Beast Boy says. "Cyborg! Make room on the grill for my... tofu dogs!"

Beast Boy pulls out pale white sausages.

"Yeah I'll definitely make room," Cyborg says. "So that those soy bean monstrosities don't mess with our food."

"Like you could even tell the difference," Beast Boy says.

"Whatever, just put those on," Cyborg says as he scoots over the steak and burger patty.

Beast Boy sets his two dogs down to cook, the pale white becoming a golden brown.

"Tofu tube steaks," you say. "My fry cook mentors would be having extra large conniptions, animal style."

"Don't hate the future, man," Beast Boy says in a grave tone.

"Alright, everyone," you say as you man the table. "Grab a plate, grab a seat, and give us your orders."

"Feels like a real diner now," Jinx grins.

"Yes, a real rooftop bing," you say. "Er, a bing is any small restaurant, like some of the roadside diners I visited. So, who's first?"

"Steak, medium-well," Robin says.

"Burn one a step away from the saddle," you say as you unwrap a new Portherhouse.

"Just a hot dog, with only mustard and relish," Jinx says.

"One Mickey Rooney tube steak," you say as you place a single Ball Park Frank.

"Three hot dogs," Starfire says, "but instead of the relish, could we have the shredded cheddar cheese?"

"Certainly," you say as you take out three more. "A crowd of groundhogs, cut the grass, tip toe through Wisconsin."

"And what would you like, my little bumgorf~?" Starfire asks Silkie as she nuzzles her nose against his... not-nose.

Silkie gurgles and squeals, and Starfire seems to understand, but also a bit unsure.

"Umm... Silkie says he would like a double rubber in a bun deluxe, painted yellow but hold the grass, wheat down and paint them red, extra shingle in the middle, sneeze and halitosis where you can."

"... Say what?" Cyborg says.

"Steak sandwich, but two meat instead of one," you translate, "with just onions and tomatoes and mustard right on the meat. Wheat buns instead of white bread, with ketchup right on them, a third piece in between--to separate things I'm sure--and then black pepper and garlic throughout."

Silkie smiles and nods.

You prepare everything, using a bit of food alchemy to make the white bread burger buns into wheat, preparing them with the ketchup and pepper.

"Wait, he didn't say how he wanted it cooked," you point out.

"How would you like your steaks, Silkie?" Starfire asks.

He gurgles again so she translates.

"Whatever the angel thinks works best," she says, again confused.

Alakazamtrainer posted...
What would be blue rare?

blue rare, short for "black & blue" rare (aka Pittsburgh rare) would be called exactly that. I should've done research to see that there was that option.

A

"I bet you'll like it closer to mooing," you say. "Cook these until they're just before medium-rare."

"Alright," Cyborg nods as the meat is put on the grill.

The Porterhouses cook for a short time, Cyborg takes them off and you put them on the wheat bread and onions on the bottom and middle pieces of bread. You then put mustard and pepper right on the steaks, before putting on the tomatoes and garlic. You stack the two layers then put on the very top bun.

"Here you are, Silkie," you say as you bring it over. "Your sneezy, halitosis double rubber in a bun with breath and a rose, painted yellow and red."

You set that down while Cyborg plates Robin's steak. You float that over before heading back around, just in time for Beast Boy's tofu dogs.

"What do you want on these?" you ask him as you put them in buns.

"Go ahead and put on the works," Beast Boy says.

"The works it is," you say as you squirt ketchup and mustard from end to end and then scoop and sprinkle relish. "Two tofu tube steaks with the works, up."

You float that over to Beast Boy, and see Silkie has already chewed his way through a good portion of his steak sandwich.

"Silkie sure has an appetite," you say as you attend to your medium steak.

"But he's also a bit messy," Starfire says in her cutesy voice before dabbing his cheeks with a napkin.

You salt and pepper your steak, sprinkle diced onions about, and melt butter to pour on it. The hot dogs, three for Starfire and one for Jinx, also finish.

"A crowd of groundhogs cutting the grass while top-toeing through Wisconsin," you say as you sprinkle on the cheese for each. "And, a single Mickey Rooney, good as is."

You float those out just as your

You put mustard and ketchup all over the bottom bun, settle in a bit of onions, stick the meat on top, slap on cheese and more onions, then put more mustard and ketchup on the top bun before sticking that on top.

"One dragged through Wisconsin and crying," you say as you float that out to Raven. "Cyborg, what're you having?"

"I'm having some of this," he grins as he pulls out a rack of ribs.

"Oh, the First Lady," you say. "You already have the seasonings and things ready?"

"I will in a moment," he says. "Be right back."

Cyborg heads downstairs, you keep an eye on the grill while eating with the others.

"So hey," Jinx says after swallowing a bite of hot dog. "In the limbo, what order should we take?"

sorry for cutting anyone off but...

B

"I'll go last," you say. "Wouldn't want to discourage anyone."

"Right, you're Mr. Limbo," Raven says with a teasingly sarcastic smirk.

"Perhaps I am," you smirk back.

"In that case," Jinx says, "I'll go second to last."

"No, I'm going second to last," Raven says.

"I shall go first," Starfire says.

"Go first with what?" Cyborg asks as he returns with many bowls and bottles.

"Limbo," you say. "We're deciding the order of participants."

"I'm second!" he says.

"Wait, we must make sure no one cheats," you say. "Beast Boy must stay in his human form. Starfire and Raven, no floating."

"Fine," they all agree reluctantly.

"But Cy can't go 90 degrees," Beast Boy says.

"It doesn't matter, I can't even walk when I'm like that anyway," Cyborg says.

"What now?" you say.

Cyborg sets things down on the table before turning around and bending all the way back!

"Blimey!" you say with a bit of a laugh. "I didn't even think you could."

Cyborg stands up straight again.

"Yeah, it's mostly for avoiding taking a hit at all costs," he says. "But like I said, I can't walk while doing that, so there's no worries about cheating in Limbo."

"Alright," you say. "Let's keep eating, we'll worry about the rest of the order after."

Cyborg prepares his spareribs with a rub of seasonings, a blend of brown sugar, salt, paprika and other powders, and then mixes together sauces to then slather on the ribs as well. He puts the ribs on the grill, putting on the lid with vents mostly open.

"Actually, these ribs will take a bit," he says. "We could do limbo while I wait."

"Where should we set up?" Robin asks.

"We can go where the volleyball court usually is," Beast Boy says. "Plenty of room, and the posts for the net should hold up the cross bar."

"Sounds good to me," you say.

"Should we put some stakes on the line?" Jinx says. "Make this game more interesting?"

"Yes, let's place a bet," you say. "A very big bet."

"H-How big?" Raven asks.

"It won't be anything humiliating or obnoxious," you say. "As Limbo is about the last person standing, this bet will be about who wins and not who loses. Which means that the last person standing in Limbo will be granted the power of..."

"... Of what?" the others ask.

"Hold on," you say defensively. "I'm trying to remember what my sisters, cousins and I would do in these situations. ... Well, the easiest option is to say that the winner becomes the leader. They decide what we do after Limbo, and for the rest of the evening."

You then look at Jinx.

"Within reason," you add.

"What're you looking at me for?" Jinx retorts.

"You know why..." Raven hisses.

Robin moves the posts of the volleyball net closer together and uses his own compact bo staff to be the cross bar.

"Well hold on now," you say. "At this height, it isn't much of a challenge, even for the start."

"What do you mean?" Starfire asks as she steps up to it, the bar coming up to her neck. "This seems sufficiently low enough."

"Beast Boy, could you come here a moment?" you ask.

"Sup?" Beast Boy asks as he walks over.

The bar is only at forehead level for Beast Boy.

"See?" you say.

"Huh," Robin says. "Alright, we'll lower it a bit more."

The bar is brought down to about nose level for Beast Boy.

"Alright, Starfire," you say. "Start us off."

Starfire leans back and starts walking under.

"Wait," Jinx says. "Doesn't this just make it harder on everyone taller than Beast Boy? Which, is literally everyone."

"Hey!" Beast Boy says.

"And I'm taller than all y'all," Cyborg says. "This becomes very unfair for me."

Starfire finishes her turn, unbothered by the conversation.

"Your turn, Cyborg," she says.

He steps up and compared to the others, the bar is almost at his stomach.

"Hmm... I suppose that is low," you say. "Hold on, I'm sure there's a way we can make it relative to the same spot on our body..."

You think quickly through your catalog of enchanting and autonomy magics.

"Give me a moment," you say as you step up to the bar.

With a combination of runes, the staff floats and is aware of your proximity. It then adjusts its level to be at chest level.

"Cyborg, you try now," you say as you step aside.

The staff "sees" Cyborg, and raises to be at his chest level.

"Sweet!" he says.

"Now this way," you continue while he leans back, "we're all leaning back to about the same degree in our bodies. Our muscles will all be tested to the same extent, and those with the best flexibility and endurance really will advance."

After Cyborg, Beast Boy goes up and the bar moves down to match to his chest. He leans back and walks under, advancing with the others. Robin goes next and the bar goes to his chest, which is easy enough for him to advance.

Jinx goes next, leans back and advances, though with a bit of difficulty. Raven goes, and you do your best not to register that while the bar matches to her chest, she in fact has to lean back a bit more than Jinx did before her, because of her chest...

You clear your throat, step up to the bar, it adjusts, and you walk under with ease.

"We all did chest level," you say, "time to go to..."

"Stomach level."

You change up the runes slightly, and the bar moves to the appropriate level.

"Really raising the bar by, uh... lowering the bar..." Beast Boy says.

The second round begins, the bar matches to Starfire's stomach, she leans back and makes it under the bar. Cyborg takes his turn, the bar adjusts, he leans back but does seem to strain a bit more to make it under. Beast Boy goes next, he starts to wobble, but somehow manages to pass. Robin does far better, while Jinx has about the same struggle as Beast Boy. Again, you notice the extra lean Raven has to commit to because of her chest, but her legs hold up under the challenge.

You take your turn, you must be a bit out of practice for stomach level to give you this level of challenge when you bend back. However, you get under with not even a bit of brushing against the bar.

"Still all here, hm?" you say. "Well now, we go to waist level."

The runes are changed, the bar targets everyone's hips and now the real challenge begins. Starfire is wary of her skirt, but she manages to keep it down with her hands while still leaning and walking. Cyborg leans back and passes under, letting out a relieved sigh when he stands back up. Beast Boy's legs wobble as he leans back, he gets halfway under the bar... and falls.

"Our first elimination," you say with bravado.

"Yay~!" Jinx applauds.

Beast Boy sulks as he sits down with Silkie at the table.

Robin takes his turn and does very well, showing a confident smile. Jinx goes up next, worries about her skirt, wobbles, and awkwardly falls down but also sideways.

"And another elimination," you say.

Beast Boy chuckles as Jinx grumbles and sits down. Raven takes her turn, and with great effort on her part, she leans to get her chest clear of the bar and pass under cleanly. You take your turn and clear the bar, though you are feeling the strain.

"Next," you say. "Thigh level."

The bar goes down, and Starfire uses her incredible, Tamaranian levels of strength to hold herself up though she bends so far at the knee. Cyborg goes next, and you can hear him grunt with the struggle. Cyborg makes it half way, but then realizes his chest's center plate is goign to hit the bar. He adjusts to get it clear but leaning even that much further strains his legs, and he falls on his shoulders with a clunk.

"Aw man..." he says.

He gets up and walks over to the grill.

"Well at least I won't have to worry about losing track of these babies," he says as he inspects the ribs.

Robin goes next, getting clear. Raven struggles, almost arching completely back to make sure her bosoms don't mess up her chances. She gets through slowly but surely, and is a bit wobbly after standing back up. You take your turn, leaning way back as well. You look down/up and keep going until you've seen the bar pass before your eyes. Only then do you consider yourself safe, and stand back up.

"Just the four of us, hm?" you say. "Alright then, time for things to get serious. Knee level."

The bar lowers as the runes are revised.

"Now, for this difficulty level," you say, "it is allowed for a modified way of reclining to get under. You may go on your knees as he move under the bar, but the same rules still apply. If you allow your shoulders, back, head or elbows to rest on the ground, you are out. If you bump the bar, you are out. When you're ready, Starfire."

Starfire walks up to the bar, kneels and leans back, scooting on her knees while using her hands to support her at her ankles. A smart technique, you wonder if she's played Limbo before, or just has excellent spatial reasoning.

Starfire slides under the bar, being careful her own admirable bosoms don't bump it. She turns her head to the side to keep from bumping the bar with her nose, and her ear passes under cleanly. She keeps scooting forward and then stands up, very pleased with herself. Robin goes next and does a similar move, scooting on his knees while holding his ankles. However, while he turns his head sideways like Starfire, his ear brushes the hair ever so slightly.

"Agh...!" he groans as he gives up and drops to the floor.

Starfire helps Robin up and Raven steps up to the bar now. She kneels down and scoots on her knees, leaning back as best she can. Her ample chest complicates things again, and her real struggle seems to be that she can't see over her chest to see if her chest is clear of the bar. She keeps going, craning her neck to go against her reclining spine, and in the end, the bar is bumped by the underboob and it clunks to the ground.

Raven groaningly sighs and collapses back in defeat.

"Two eliminations in one round," you say. "Knee level shows no mercy."

"Maybe if she didn't have those big handicaps to worry about," Jinx smirks.

Raven grumbles as she sits down at the table, sneering at Jinx out of the corner of her eye.

You get down low, lean back, and keep your head tucked and turned to the side just enough to see out of the corner of your eye as you slide along the ground. You make it under cleanly, standing up proudly as Raven and the others applaud.

"Knee level was a close shave," you say. "Let's shave off a few centimeters below that and see what we've got."

"You can do it, Starfire!" Robin says as everyone sits at the table now.

"Yeah!" Beast Boy says.

"Wait," Jinx says. "What would Starfire have us do if she won, though?"

"Probably Tamaranian traditions?" Raven says.

"Or sit and watch those happy kids shows she likes," Beast Boy says. "The ones with the sing-alongs and puppets."

Raven, Jinx and Beast Boy all look at each other.

"Go, Rorek!" they cheer.

You scratch your head and let out a little chuckle.

You adjust the runes, the bar adjusts to that, and Starfire goes again. She gets low, scoots, has some concern over her skirt but moves on. She gets her legs under the bar, but much as with Raven before her, there is concern about bosoms. Starfire flattens out as best she can without touching the ground, but that's a rather limiting window. She inches ever so slightly closer to the bar, but biology is against her, her underboob makes contact, and everyone can see the bar press against her chest.

"I admit defeat," she sighs.

"Rorek wins!" Beast Boy announces as everyone applauds. "So, what're we doing now that you're in charge?"

"Hmm... I hadn't really considered the possibility," you say. "I say we all..."

"Play Twister!"

"Yeah!" the guys say.

"Can all of us even play Twister?" Jinx asks. "Usually it's four at a time, but there's seven of us."

"Oh, that's a good point," you say. "Well, we could split up into groups, one of four and then the other of three."

"That sounds good," Robin say. "How are we splitting this up?"

"I think it's pretty obvious how we should split up," Jinx chuckles. "Rorek, Raven and myself, while you four can play the other game."

"Right, that's the 'obvious' combination," Raven says.

"We could do guys in one and girls in the other," Beast Boy says.

It doesn't take much to see that you four males are imagining your three attractive female compatriots tangled up on the spotted mat. Raven gives you a smack in the arm to snap you out of it.

"Sorry," you mutter quickly.

"Does not someone need to be the spinner?" Starfire asks. "Someone must stay on the sideline to fairly and justly call out the placements, yes?"

"Well then that evens things out," you say. "We can have one spinner for both games of three people, and it can still be girls in one game and boys in the other."

"Right," Robin says. "In which case, I'll sit ou--"

"Alright," you say as you conjure a spinner. "Let's get going, hm?"

"I... I was going to..." Robin tries to say as you also conjure up two different, four-by-four squares of colored spots.

"It makes sense that Rorek's the spinner," Jinx says. "He won Limbo and therefore the role of leader for the rest of the night."

"Yeah, now he'll literally be directing us," Cyborg shrugs.

"Ladies, to this side," you direct. "Gentlemen, to the other."

Everyone stands at the squares, leaving the side closet to you open.

"We can do it like this," you say. "We'll go clockwise, so that Raven and Cyborg are player one, Starfire and Beast Boy are player two, and Jinx and Robin are player three. Ready?"

"Ready!" everyone says.

You spin the needle and watch it land.

"Player one, right foot yellow," you say.

Raven and Cyborg put their feet down, an easy move for them where they are.

"Player two, left foot green."

Almost immediately this is a tough challenge for them, green spots ended up on the opposite side for them. Starfire is taller, she reaches out better than the shorter Beast Boy.

"Player three, left hand red."

Back to easy for Jinx and Robin, they bend down to place their hands.

"Player one, left foot red."

Raven and Cyborg simply place their feet down and stand clear of Starfire and Beast Boy.

"Player two, left foot blue."

Beast Boy sighs in relief as he gets to retract to the closer blue spots.

"Player three, right hand green."

Jinx and Robin spin around, much like Raven and Cyborg, to comfortably place both hands down.

"Player one, left foot yellow."

Raven and Cyborg simply pivot to stand facing you, with Starfire and Beast Boy behind them.

"Player two, right foot red."

Starfire and Beast Boy now stand even more behind Raven and Cyborg.

"Player three, right foot blue."

Robin easily hops up to place a foot on the spot, Jinx takes a bit longer as she slips her body under itself.

"Player one, left foot green."

Raven and Cyborg simply step forward.

"Player two... Right foot green."

This is where you see the first deviation between the two groups. Beast Boy weaves his leg to go for the corner spot, under Cyborg's legs. Starfire stays clear of Raven by fitting between her and Jinx, but that awkwardly gets Jinx's butt in her way.

"Player three- oh wait, right hand is already on green. Spinning again... Player three, right foot yellow."

Robin and Jinx simply slide their right hands over, which in Jinx's case means she presents more of her rear to Starfire.

"Player one, right foot red."

Raven and Cyborg move their feet back, but this causes complications for the intertwined Cyborg and Beast Boy.

"Hey, watch it!" Beast Boy tells Cyborg.

"You watch it!" Cyborg says back.

Raven and Starfire are more comfortable, simply standing back to back.

"Player two, left hand yellow."

Starfire and Beast Boy bend over to reach down, which alleviates things for Beast Boy and Cyborg, but Raven has to watch out for Starfire's butt bumping into her.

"Player three," you say, "right hand yellow."

"And we can't put two on one spot, right?" Jinx says.

"Correct," you say.

Jinx and Robin have to awkwardly reach under themselves and around Starfire and Beast Boy to reach the available yellow spot. Robin is fine with that, he seems to have quite a bit of contortion and balance skill. However, Jinx doens't seem so skilled, her new tripod pose causes her to wobble. Her arm can't support her, she falls back, and Starfire stands on her tip-toes to avoid Jinx's head, and Raven is nudged enough to make her wobble now.

"Hey!" Raven says as she steadies herself.

"Oh whatever," Jinx snaps. "Not like I want to be down here."

Jinx carefully crawls out from under Starfire's and Raven's legs.

"Hey, if Jinx was first out," Raven says, "should she, like, face a punishment?"

"Ooo...!" the others say, intrigued.

A) Yes, punishment for losing
B) No, losing is enough
