"I dunno," she says. "What looked good over there?"

"Those tacos look nice," you say.

"Mmm, tacos..." Dash says.

"I guess tacos wouldn't be so bad," Raven shrugs.

"Then tacos it is," you say.

The group heads to the food court, Dash letting his parents know. They get up and follow.

"That wasn't exactly Raven choosing what we do," Jinx says to the two of you.

"Yes it was," Raven says. "I didn't have to choose tacos, but I was okay with tacos."

"If you say so," Jinx shrugs.

Everyone walks over to the taco kiosk, the friends of the superhero family joining in as well. The kiosk has two lines, so you and the Titans stand in the left line while the superhero family stands in the right.

"Hold on," the husband of the other couple says. "We should reserve seats, those tables're goin' fast."

"Violet, you take the boys and find a table," the mother says as she hands Jack Jack to Violet.

"Alright," Violet says as she works to keep the rowdy, squirming baby in her arms. "C'mon, Dash."

"We should reserve a table, too," Raven says as Violet and her brothers leave the line. "Jinx, Starfire and I can do that while you guys bring the food."

"Okay," you say. "What does everyone want?"

"Um, just some of the regular hard shells should be fine," Raven says.

"How many would that be? One each? Two each?"

"Uh, just one for me but, I dunno."

"Well, the card has plenty on it, I can get two each just in case. Here, hold onto the knapsack."

Raven takes your bag then leads the girls over to a table near where Violet sits with her brothers. The groups ahead of you in the line for tacos receive their orders and move on, so now it is your turn.

"What will you have?" the cashier says.

"A... dozen hard shell tacos," you say, doing the math just as you speak, "and... a salad's good for you, right?"

"Yeah," Beast Boy says. "But like, make it a big salad."

"How large is your large salad?" you ask.

"We put it in one of these," the cashier says, showing you and Beast Boy a paper bowl.

"That's a pretty good size," Beast Boy says. "I'll go with that."

"Okay," the cashier says. "12 tacos and a salad. What about drinks?"

"Seven... large colas."

The cashier taps keys on the register.

"That'll be $42."

You hand over the gift card and they swipe it before giving it back. Your order is being filled out just as the order for the superhero family comes in. They take their tacos in the little cardboard boxes, while the drinks are delivered to their table by the mother using her elastic arms to reach and put them down. Little Jack Jack gets his small juice transferred from the cardbooard cup to his sippy cup.

"Here you are," the cashier says as your order comes up.

You pass the boxes of tacos to Robin and Cyborg, Beast Boy takes hold of his salad, you use magic to bring the drinks over. Raven moves your knapsack for you to sit there, and everyone digs into the food.

"Do these tacos taste as good as the 2 75 they cost?" Bob, the father of the superhero family, asks.

"We used the gift card to buy these, it doesn't matter," his wife chuckles.

"Yeah, but they charge everyone else 2 75, I would hope it isn't too much for how they taste," he counters.

"They're okay," Violet shrugs.

"At least the shell isn't all soggy and about to break," Raven says. "That happens with the major chains a lot."

"Shaladsh good," Beast Boy says as he chows down.

"We'll have to wait half an hour after eating before getting back in the water," you say, "so I figured in that time

"Gift shop?" Jinx says. "Where?"

"Raven and I passed one while on the lazy river," you say. "We can back track to it."

"Sweet," Jinx says. "I hope they have nice sunglasses, or visor hats."

"I could probably use one of those, myself," Raven mutters.

"You think they'll have stuff for dogs?" Beast Boy asks.

"Why would you need stuff for dogs?" Cyborg asks.

"Well, I just think it'd be nice if my dog forms had some kind of protection from the sun," Beast Boy says. "There're all kinds of hats and things for dogs, so I might as well get some."

Everyone eats, and you actually do like the tacos. The shell is crisp, the meat is nice and hot, which in turn makes the cheese melted and gooey while the lettuce is cool and crisp itself.

"Does anyone want the hot sauce?" Starfire offers as she holds up the packets.

You and the guys take a packet each and pour them out on the inside of the tacos. You enjoy the spice, though it sets your tongue on fire.

"What is it about boys doing things like this like it's fun?" Jinx raises an eyebrow.

"But it is fun," you say quickly before taking long sips of soda.

"Yeah," Beast Boy and Cyborg say before sipping their own soda.

"If you say so," Raven says.

Everyone has their fill, with no tacos left over; Raven and Jinx only ate one each, Starfire had their seconds for a total of four. With drinks in hand, your group gets up and walks past the table where the superhero family and their friends sit.

"We're headed to the gift shop if you're interested," Robin lets them know as you seven pass by.

"Oh, a gift shop?" the mother says. "That sounds like fun."

"I dunno," the father says. "The tacos are one thing, but gift shops are where they really getcha."

"Oh relax," the mother says, "I'll just browse."

"You say that, but then chances are something will catch your eye and you'll want it," the father says with a bit of a teasing smirk.

Violet and Dash giggle, implying there is apparent truth to that statement.

"We'll just browse," the mother insists as she gets up with Jack Jack cradled in her arms.

She and Jack Jack follow your group, as do Dash and Violet. You and Raven lead the way, navigating through crowds and around the curves of the lazy river and see the gift shop.

"Wait, we don't have our communicators to pay with," Raven says.

"Don't worry," you say, "my treat."

You pull your wallet out of your knapsack.

"Yes!" Jinx says as she spots something. "Black visor hat."

Jinx tries it on, and adjusts the velcro on the band, and makes it fit.

"Here, this blue one works for Raven," she says as she takes one from the rack.

Jinx gives it to Raven, Raven inspects it, then tries it on. Raven also adjusts the strap and checks herself in the mirror.

"Does it look alright?" she asks you.

"Of course. Why wouldn't it?"

"Which shirt would look better?" Starfire asks Robin. "This small one, or this large one?"

Starfire puts the shirts over herself, as to show how they'd go with her natural hair, eye and skin colors. What's more, it shows how it'd go on her figure.

"Uh, buh, both, both look g-great," Robin stammers.

"Don't worry, we can get both," you tell the two of them, holding up your wallet again.

Starfire smiles and holds onto both shirts as she heads off to look at the other sections. Robin covertly holds up a first, you give it the fist bump.

You quietly follow Raven as she heads to another segment of the shop. You look at what's up ahead and see the stuffed animals. Raven stops and sheepishly looks up at the many fully stocked shelves.

"Looking to give Slithersby a friend?" you ask with a smirk.

"No...!" Raven says quickly and defensively. "I mean... It's not like a snake would be friends with whales and dolphins anyway."

You slowly build into a laugh, which gets Raven to laugh as well. You two calm down and you look at the shelves yourself now.

"How about the squid?" you say as you pick it up. "He looks like fun."

You hold the squid up and shake it, making the limp tentacles wiggle spastically.

"And what would his name be?" she asks with a smirk.

"Hmm..." you say as you look at the squid's face and beady eyes. "Mr. Ink-credible?"

Raven holds it in for a moment, but her laughter gets out. She tries to stop herself by biting her lower lip but it's rather difficult, there seems to be a lot of laughter still inside her.

"I'll take it you like that name," you smile.

"Yes," she manages to get out with a nod of her head. "And I can't really say 'no' now, can I?"

"You'll take the squid?"

"Yes, I'll take the squid," she chuckles. "My sides..."

You laugh now, and Raven takes custody of the squid as you two head for the register. The other Titans join you, everyone having chosen some sort of combination between a hat, a shirt, and sunglasses.

"Aw, what a cute squid," Jinx says. "There were stuffed animals?"

"Yeah, they're over there," Raven says, pointing it out.

"I'll be right back!" Jinx says excitedly as she hurries over.

Jinx looks at the selection of stuffed animals, chooses one and then hurries back.

"Makes sense that you chose a dolphin, since you also like unicorns," Raven says.

"How does that make sense?" Jinx says.

"I dunno, it just seems like girly girls like you always like unicorns, ponies and dolphins," Raven shrugs.

"Are you saying you don't like ponies?" Jinx says.

"I don't have a problem with horses," Raven says, "I'm just saying that dolphins seem to be in this strange collection of things girls seem to like."

"Yeah," Violet speaks up, "I have friends who have dolphins, unicorns, sometimes Pegasus, and even regular horses, all over their notebooks or as stickers on their phones. It's like, okay I get you like those things but why do you like them that much?"

"Exactly," Raven says. "Y'know, I like the way you think."

"Thanks," Violet smiles.

Everyone has their items scanned by the cashier and the final total comes out to be $79.57. You use your credit card for this, as you did not bring that much paper money this time. The receipt is printed, and you keep it with Mr. Ink-credible in his plastic bag.

"We can store everything in my knapsack for the time being," you say. "The Magi-Pocket has plenty of room."

Everyone puts their items inside, and you sling the bag around your shoulder again.

"Let's stay cool at the pool," you say as you leave the gift shop.

"I'll go let Bob and the others know," the mother says. "You kids go on ahead."

Dash and Violet follow you and the Titans, and you reach the large central swimming pool. There're lots of people but plenty of space. You stop at the edge and simply sit to dip your legs in up to the knees.

"This is nice," Raven says as she slowly kicks her legs in the water.

"It is," you say as you watch the sparse clouds in the sky and a nice breeze blows through.

"Pool selfie!" Jinx says as she leans in with her cell phone.

"What?" you say as she snaps a picture of her, you and just some of Raven.

"When did you get your cell phone?" Raven asks.

"I got it out of the changing room during the fix-up stuff," she says.

"Where were you keeping it until now?" Raven asks.

"Slipped it into Rorek's knapsack," Jinx mutters quickly. "Anyway, get in closer."

"No, not you," Jinx says as she stops Raven from leaning in. "I meant Rorek."

Jinx puts an arm around you shoulders and brings you in cheek to cheek for another selfie.

"Nice," Jinx says as she looks back at the picture in her phone.

"Okay, scoot over," Raven says as she wedges herself between you and Jinx.

"Careful," Jinx says, "I almost dropped my phone."

"You're the one who brought a phone to a pool," she says.

"Well, whatever," Jinx says, "let's take a selfie then."

Jinx brings Raven in and takes another selfie cheek to cheek.

"Looks good to me," you say with a thumbs up.

Raven smirks at you as she sits back up. The others dip a little deeper into the pool but stay close to the edge, and another breeze blows through.

"Swim with me," you say to Raven.

You drop down into the water and she follows as you backstroke away from the group. Jinx stays on the edge as she taps around on her phone.

"So what're we up to?" Raven asks as she comes up alongside you.

"Nothing much," you say. "Just wanted a little private time."

"Not very private since there's no walls or anything," Raven smirks as she looks at the many other swimmers in the water.

"I suppose not," you say. "But this will have to do until we get back to the Tower."

You let yourself coast as you admire Raven in the water, her body's image waving and shimmering below the surface. You watch her violet eyes watch the people in the distance as they reflect the light that reflects off the water. Her eyes then turn their gaze on you, and upon realizing you were staring, Raven blinks and blushes as she shrinks into her shoulders.

"I'm sorry," you say, "I don't mean to embarrass you."

"It's okay," she says with a shy smile. "I'm just not used to it yet."

"Used to what?"

"To the way you look at me," she says. "It's been barely a week, and I know how... How much you love me... Or even, how much I already love you. It just hasn't sunk in yet, I guess."

Raven turns over and lets herself float along on her back, just as you do. You both look up at the sky, and the large expanse of blue overhead bookend'd by white clouds. Minutes, several minutes, pass with you two silently listening to the general, gentle hubbub of the other people around you.

"When do you think it will sink in?" you ask.

"I dunno," Raven says. "But I'm willing to see how long it takes if you are."

Raven smiles as she turns her head to look at you.

"You can count me in," you smile back.

You two lean in closer, but before you can kiss, someone dives in from nearby and you end up in the splash range. You and Raven laugh it off and regroup with the others.

Time passes as everyone casually swims and floats around, and the family of superheroes eventually regroups.

"We'll be heading home now," the mother says. "It was fun spending time with you guys."

"It was also the fun for us, too," Starfire smiles back.

"Say 'bye', Jack Jack," the mother says to her baby boy.

"Buh~!" Jack Jack says with a little wave.

"Aww~...!" Jinx and Starfire say; Raven doesn't become sickly sentimental, but you can tell that she thought it was cute just as they did.

"We should consider heading back now, too," Robin says as he climbs out.

"How about we use the rest of the gift card so we can have dinner already prepared?" you suggest.

"Yeah, that makes sense," Robin says. "What should we get?"

"We can get pizza," you say. "Though hopefully they don't go slice by slice..."

The group returns to the food court, which is a bit fuller now than before. The pizza kiosk is not as busy as the others, which is just fine. You see the menu overhead and see the prices for whole, small pizzas, and your gift card can definitely handle enough for everyone.

"Other than Beast Boy, who will have cheese?" you ask.

"I will," Jinx says.

"Cheese sounds good," Robin says.

"Why not," Cyborg shrugs.

"What will you have?" the cashier asks.

"Four whole cheese pizzas, and three whole pepperoni pizzas," you say.

"That'll be $76.24," they say.

You give the card over, they swipe it, and you should have another $40 or so. You put the card away and everyone waits for the orders to fill.

"Wait," Robin says. "How're we going to hold on to the pizzas if we also have to change?"

Everyone else ponders that question.

"Well, I can hold on to them," Cyborg says. "I don't exactly need to get dressed or anything."

"I can hold the pizza for the girls," Raven says. "I don't need to do a lot of changing, so I can wait for them to finish."

"Alright," you nod, "sounds like a plan."

However, being that they're whole pizzas, the orders take some time to fill out.

"Why don't you go on ahead," you tell Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy and Jinx. "We can meet you there."

Those four head to the changing rooms and the entrance, you wait with Raven and Cyborg as one by one, the boxes of pizza are put out. You organize things so that Raven will have two pepperoni and one cheese, then Cyborg holds three cheese and one pepperoni, per what everyone wanted. You lead the way to the changing rooms and by the time you arrive, the others are already waiting. Raven hands Starfire the pizza while you and she take turns.

You return fully dressed and everyone goes to the parking lot.

"Hold on to the pizzas for us," you tell the others as you and Raven go to Shadowfax. "See you back at the tower."

Once Raven has her helmet on and is seated behind you, you start up Shadowfax and pull out of the parking space. You leave the lot and make your way onto the interstate to head South.

As you ride down the highway, Raven wraps her arms around you tightly and rests her head against the back of your shoulders. It's so comforting, you momentarily move your hand off the brake and pat her on the forearm to show you appreciate it.

The ride back to Jump City is calm and quiet, aside from the engine noises of vehicles that you pass and pass by you. It's nice, actually, it feels a little like how things were just a week ago. Though you probably wouldn't have imagined a week ago you'd soon have such a lovely young lady with you like you do now.

You arrive into town and see the T-Car coming up behind as you move towards the waterfront. You let them move up alongside and then lead the way onto Titan's Island. The garage opens and everyone parks inside. Everyone then heads to Ops and takes seats on the couch, but everyone is also tired.

"All that swimming sure takes it out of you," Beast Boy says before transforming into Cat Beast Boy to stretch.

"Gonna sleep well tonight," Cyborg says as he stretches.

"Yep," Robin says as he stretches before opening his pizza box.

Despite everyone's general exhaustion, everyone eats their pizza.

You use magic to retrieve the remote control.

"Let's watch some television," you say as you press the power button.

The images comes on and you see that you're watching baseball.

"Strike!" the umpire calls on the pitcher's fastball.

"A blazing 100 miles per hour," the commentator says, "Ackerly brings the heat!"

"Which is perfect for this fine Summer day," the other says. "Be sure to make it down to the ball park this Sunday for one dollar hot dogs and a small fireworks show."

The pitcher resets, watches his catcher for suggestions on what to throw next, and makes a decision. He winds up and throws, the batter swings and misses.

"Strike two!" the umpire calls.

"He also has a killer change-up," the fist commentator says.

"Change the channel," Jinx says. "Baseball's boring."

"We only just got started," Beast Boy says.

"That's my point," Jinx says.

"Let's see what else is on first," you say.

You open the cable guide with a touch of a button and skim through.

"Oh~, The Desire's Force," Jinx says. "I love that one."

"Skip past it," Raven says, "it's a romance movie."

"For what?" Jinx counters. "Some horror movie?"

"If there's a good one," Raven says.

"Oh, an hour of adorable animals," Starfire says, seeing one of the items as you scroll by.

"Followed by more adorable animals!" Beast Boy says.

"That might not be so bad," Jinx says.

"I'd rather stay with baseball in that case," Raven mutters.

"Same here, unless there's more basketball," Robin says.

"We'll just see what kinds of cute animals there are," you say.

You turn to that channel and see kittens playing with string.

"Aww~!" Starfire, Beast Boy and Jinx let out.

One kitten chews on the string and ends up tangled in it. One of the others comes over and looks at the first kitten quite curiously. The first kitten notices the second, and takes a playful swipe with its paw.

"Awww~...!" Starfire, Beast Boy and Jinx say again.

"That, that is pretty cute," Cyborg says with a nervous scratch of the cheek.

The kittens, all free of string, are led by an adult cat--likely their mother--to the stairs. The mother climbs down just fine, but the kittens seem a bit wary. A few brave ones hop down first, another hops down and almost tumbles to the second step.

"Oh, careful," Jinx says as if speaking to the kitten directly.

The kittens make their way down to the bottom where the mother awaits, and then they all go out through a doggy-door to the backyard.

The kittens, never having seen the outside world before, are all tentative when they see everything the backyard has to offer. However, those same kittens that were first to brave the stairs are also the first to brave the fresh green grass.

One kitten bats at a yellow dandelion while two others roughhouse nearby. The kitten that was tangled in string prances about, incredibly excited to be out in "the wild".

"So cute...!" Cyborg says as he feels the sugary sweetness taking over.

The owners set up a picnic blanket and get the kittens to come over with the offer of food in bowls. The kittens gather and munch on the kibble, and there's a minor squabble as to who gets to stand where. The mother even grooms and cleans those closest to her.

"Aren't they cute?" you say to Raven.

"I guess," she shrugs. "Can we get our stuff out of the knapsack?"

"Oh, yes, let's hand all those things out," you say.

You dig around in your bag and hand everyone back their various souvenirs. Raven sets her visor hat aside as she sees you bring out the stuffed animal squid.

"Are you going to keep Mr. Ink-credible on your bed with Slithersby?" you say.

"Wait what?" Jinx says with a perplexed smile.

"That's the name for my squid," Raven pouts as she wraps her arms around it. "Got a problem with that?"

"I'm going to assume Rorek named it," Jinx says.

"Yes, which is why it's better than 'Glitter Butt'," Raven says. "And I think I can clear off space on a shelf or end table for Mr. Ink-credible."

The kittens finish eating, are led back indoors by their mother, and are then brought up to the sink for little baths.

"Aww~...!" Jinx, Beast Boy and Starfire say again.

"Can we please switch?" Raven says.

"What's so wrong with cute animals?" you say as you lean in and wrap an arm around her. "Look. Look at the adorable kittens."

Once a kitten is bathed, they are gently dried in a towel and then blown dry with a hair dryer. Most of the kittens like it, but one is rather fussy and tries to run away from the strange device blowing air in its face.

"Awwww~...!" Jinx, Beast Boy, Starfire and now even Cyborg say.

"See?" you say as you bring your face in closer to Raven. "Look how cute and adorable that kitten is being from his fussy behavior."

"They are being fussy!" Jinx giggles.

Raven seems to be resisting, not wanting to fall to the cuteness.

"I know you have a bubbly, happy side inside you," you whisper with a smirk as you're cheek to cheek with Raven. "She must adore these kittens looking like fluff balls right now."

Raven continues to resist, as if suffering from nausea caused by her own sweet and sentimental feelings.

"Wook at their widdle faces...!" you say, pointing at the bright pink noises and big blue eyes with puffed up white, black and orange fur.

Raven bursts into laughter.

"The baby talk..." she says short of breath. "Why did you have to use the baby talk?"

"Do you admit they're cute?"

"Yes!" she says, still laughing. "Now stop using it as some weird kind of torture."

"We can't stop now," you say. "They're getting ready for a photo shoot of some kind."

The kittens are put in a basket together, like for Easter. The owner gets their attention with a toy, and a photographer takes pictures. Raven makes a gurgling sound from holding in her reaction to the cuteness.

"Okay now we'll switch," you chuckle.

You send it back to baseball just as the umpire calls a strike out.

"And that ends the bottom of the fifth inning," the commentator says.

"It was a tough one," the other says, "but Ackerly kept the Jersey Devils from getting on base."

"Wait, what inning were we watching when we left?" Jinx says.

"I think it was still the bottom of the fifth," Cyborg says.

"See?" Jinx says. "That's why baseball is boring! There's no time limit so it can take forever!"

"Let me see that," Beast Boy says as he takes the remote.

Beast Boy scans around while commercials play. Something about beer.

"Hey, where's my dolphin?" Jinx asks as she looks in your knapsack.

"Oh, right," you say.

You reach in and pull the dolphin out.

"Thank you," Jinx says as she takes the dolphin. "Hmm... I think I'll name him... Phin-tasy. Like, fantasy but the 'phin' from dolphin."

"Yes, it's nice," you say.

"Thank you," Jinx smiles. "What would you have named it?"

"I dunno," you shrug. "Maybe something like... Dolphin-finity."

"Oh that's pretty good," Jinx says. "Maybe I should call him that..."

"Don't just change names because Rorek had a better one," Raven says.

"It's my dolphin, I can name him what I want," Jinx says.

The baseball game returns for the top of the sixth, and now the other team is up to bat.

"Ackerly now takes his turn at the plate," the commentator says. "He has one of the better batting averages for a pitcher this year, but the Devils' second pitcher, Wilkens, has one of the better records against fellow pitchers so we'll see how things go."

Wilkens decides on a pitch and winds up. He throws, Ackerly swings, Ackerly hits it! But it goes foul.

"Strike one as the ball flies into the foul zone's bleachers," the commentator says.

"I think Ackerly has Wilkens well-scouted, taking a chance to swing at that opening pitch," the other says. "Wilkens tends to test things out with a fastball so Ackerly was showing him he doesn't fear those."

Wilken and Ackerly reset. Wilken wiinds up and pitches, Ackerly hits again! But another foul.

"That one was a curve, Ackerly decided to chase," the first commentator says.

"Wilken's gonna take a moment to think this one out, it seems," the other says. "He likes Ackerly swinging, it put him behind in the count, but he needs the right one to get Ackerly out."

"Aha!" Beast Boy says as he stops scrolling in the guide. "Let's watch this one! 'Hunting the Hunters!' A series of real-life cases where park rangers and law enforcement stop poachers and other illegal hunting practices! It has everything: animals, action, suspense..."
