The found a guy to beat a weak republican opponent in the gubernatorial race already, so they should be able to find a guy to beat the very same person again in a less important race. Putting up a weak candidate and losing by maybe a little less than you were expecting isn't a hooray kind of moment. I'll get excited if they can actually put together a good showing in 2018. Unfortunately, modern conservatism has gone to shit, so rather than get reasonable viewpoints, it's like the only Conservatives that speak up are the ones who don't really care about politics because they're of a demographic that is never negatively affected by any policies. They ONLY care about how mad Liberals get and how people (who they don't have to care about) get hurt.
