Yep. I did this back in 1995 but I don't remember much about it. Right now it's just a website for an artist.

Probably the weirdest one I've known of was John.com. All it consisted of was 12 clickable images on its home page. The images were things like a goat, a flower, a hard hat, a hammer, etc. Clicking one of the images prompted you with a form for a username and password. And it stayed like that for 14+ years until March of this year.
