A job is more than the tasks you do during your shift: it is also the money you get paid for doing that and the knowledge that you have to go back the next day.

His whole list is "how to be a slave to the corporate workplace" essentially.

On the other hand, every time I've ever talked about doing ANYTHING (trades or traditional), the naysayers/haters always come out and try to drag me down.

"oh you wanna be a doctor, enjoy 12+ years of education and crushing debt"

That is not how I interpreted it. And most people do not have bad jobs -- they have bad bosses.

And if you want to stay at the same position in a company, just show up and do your work. Do it well, and they'll definitely want to keep you there. To advance in a company, you need to be a thought leader.

I don't think that doing a job for a day means shit. It's like those celebrities that do a "this is what you can buy with food stamps" challenge or whatever. Context is everything, and it's totally missing when you just step into someone else's world to try it out for a little bit, knowing you can and will step back into your own whenever you want
