It was ok, the writing style seemed very amateur imo but I hear it gets better starting with the 3rd book.

Yeah they are an easy read but fun. I don't have the time or mental capacity to get into a William Gaddis or Henry Miller novel anymore.

My favorite author, but yeah, wish he would focus on Dresden and not the Windglass series (it wasn't horrid, but not nearly as good).

I always recommend him first to anyone looking for a fun/easy read.

Might try early Laurrel K hamilton as well when your done, some Patricia Briggs etc.

Most are all magic in current technology setting, which is pretty much my favorite settings.

Dresden though just wins for me.

this is literally my dream.

if he could write as fast as sanderson, that'd be fantastic.

since his books are smaller, we'd be looking at one, maybe two, a year.

and that's my dream.

codex alera and aeronauts windlass are both terrible fucking series.

Dresden is pretty good but a lot of author's do action better. Not enough happens in dresden action scenes.

Great book series. I got my roommate reading them.
