Yale Dean, June Chu has apologized for her controversial Yelp reviews that referred to people as "white trash" and "low trash folks" after it was uncovered by outraged students!!

The Pierson College Dean posted 10 reviews of restaurants and establishments at New Haven, Connecticut from her personal account of a few years as she's slammed for her demeaning, offensive and elitist posts

She wrote in one "To put it simply, if you are white trash, this is the perfect night out for you!" and "This establishment is definitely not authentic by any stretch of the imagination and perfect for low class folks who believe this is the real night out"

In another she wrote "I guess if you were a white person who has no clue what a mochi is, this would be fine for you"

She even attacked a movie theatre and said the staff were "barely educated morons trying to manage snack orders for the obese and also try to add $7 plus 7"

The social psychologist valued "views on diversity, equity, partnerships and academic success" issued an apology and deleted her yelp account as the reviews drew backlash at Yale

She said "I have learned a lot this semester about the power of words and about the accountability that we owe one another. My remarks were wrong. There no 2 ways about it. Not only were they insensitive in matters related to class and race; they demean values to which i hold myself and which i offer as a member of this community"

Yale doesn't plan to discipline her

This reads like somebody who is elitist, and either forgot that her Yelp account exists, or is only apologetic because people found out about it. How about you not be a racist, condescending piece of shit in the first place? I know that's hard, what with being the dean of an Ivy League school, but please try a little.

it's just yelp and white trash is used to describe white ghetto people, not white people in general.

It's not aimed at white people as a whole just race specific.

Keemstar and other white entertainers use this all the time and no one criticizes them for it.

However, they aren't academics or a part of SJW culture or anything like that

Just looks like the reviews of someone who's kind of a stuck-up prick, which virtually anyone in Yale's administration has to be.

Her comments about race seemed to be more of "this is asian stuff and it's not very good, so I'm going to assume it's for non-asians".

She's now a victim of the culture she helped create, which is ironic somewhat. People are so easily offended by issues about race that satire or nuance are not acceptable anymore. Do I think she really thinks of white people as uneducated hicks? No. But we live in a culture now where even if a statement is only racist when taken DELIBERATELY out of context, it still requires an apology and usually a resignation.

Mark Twain would be totally bummed by this new obsession with sensitivity.
