I considered myself an Atheist for a while, until I realized that literally every Atheist I knew was an asshole.

It helps even less when you realize that most of the Angstheists on the Internet are mostly ill-informed idiots. I'm not really going to take advice on the fundamental and objectively true nature of the vast infinite cosmic reality from people who often seem barely able to tie their own shoes without help.

Agnosticism is literally the only rational philosophy, and ironically, the only one actually supported by scientific method. "I don't know, let's keep looking" is a far better creed than anything espoused by people who swear blind THEY'VE got the right answer and try to beat it into anyone who disagrees.

I'm mostly a Secular Agnostic, though, so I generally just react to what I see and hear and don't worry about anything beyond that, and I figure once I'm dead I'll get the rest of the answers if there are actually any answers to be had. I mostly leave debating about the existence or non-existence of all sorts of theoretical concepts (gods, ghosts, aliens, the capacity for humans to not be total shitbags to each other, whether or not there can ever actually be a political party that doesn't suck, etc) to people with way more time on their hands and nothing better to do.

I am an atheist.

I'd be agnostic if there weren't so many people doing horrible things in the name of religion. Really, I think the concept of agnosticism is spaghetti logic. Technically you can't disprove anything, no matter what, so technically you can't say anything didn't happen, no matter what. Why even entertain the idea of disproving anything when the concept of agnosticism exists.

If you don't hate religion you didn't grow up in the worst of it. If people weren't assholes to me, I would be extremely religious, so to me there's nothing wrong with being rude when it's needed. If it weren't for "angstheists", I'd still be protesting at planned parenthood. (I don't go up to religious people on the streets telling them God isn't real.)

I'm usually an agnostic apatheist, but sometimes I'm ignostic.

20 is a very conservative estimate. I swear I once saw him get 5 accounts banned in the same week.

That's pretty shitty logic. Unless something actively encourages people to do overtly awful things, it's usually not the thing's fault.

That being said, I don't believe in "shoving my beliefs down other people's throats". I just try to live my life as He would have wanted and that's it. IMHO, everyone already has enough on their plates to deal with.

Common misconception. Being an atheist simply means you simply don't believe in God(s).

Atheists who preach their beliefs onto others are just as bad as any other religious nut who try to shove their beliefs down others' throats.

I'm an atheist. Leave me alone and I'll leave you alone. That's how I roll. I won't bring it up if you don't.

That's true, but I don't think this means the word "atheist" should be redefined. Poor perception is what it is.

I'm as far from an atheist you can get. I also don't subscribe to any one religion.

That's a very non-Catholic philosophy to hold. Not to be like "rawr you're religioning wrong," but if you're practicing, you may find other denominations to be a better fit for your approach. Might be worth exploring.

Probably. Haha...well, to be honest I'm still in the process of figuring things out.....spiritually. In my heart I know I'm a Christian and I do love God. But really, I'm not a big fan of church....or its rituals and whatnot. But yea, I'll definitely be looking for options too.

Basically yeah. I believe folk are free to believe whatever they please though and don't force my choices onto others. I simply just don't believe in any gods.
