In fact, it's usually one of the warning signs for a troll, if someone "new" shows up on the board with a really old account but almost no karma and says something incredibly stupid or provocative. Because it implies they're either a regularly used account that is constantly losing karma to moderations (meaning they're a blatant troll), or they're an account that a more regular user only pulls out of storage when they want to troll (meaning they're a subtle troll). It's possible you COULD be dealing with someone who used to have an account here but who left and only just recently came back, but a) that's exceedingly rare, and b) someone legitimately doing so isn't likely to show up and immediately spam multiple posts or topics that reek of trolling.
