It's fine, it has some great moments, it plays very well, but it doesn't lead anywhere, and the steps it took on the road to nowhere were far too similar to ones we'd already walked. But Andromeda was in development for 4 years, and sold less at launch than ME3 (so, less than 1.3M), and has poor word of mouth/reviews. It's less about where it places relative to the titles that year, and more about how much was invested in it vs. how it did compared to other genre titles. Skyrim and Fallout are massive games outside of everyone's reach, but something like The Witcher 3 did 10M+ and should conceivably be attainable for BioWare.
