Yeah, deck trackers are pretty nice. I've been forcing myself to switch between using and not using them though because I'd like to be able to improve my own recall for what's been played. But I think using them is a good way to identify what resources you can anticipate your opponent to have in their deck, to choose lines of play that will play to the outs you are statistically more likely to draw into and just know with some degree of certainty what you should be playing against in terms of what sort of juice their deck has left.

I haven't played much yet this month, but I've been using a pretty high value control style of paladin deck and a midrange hunter deck. The paladin games take a lot longer, but it's been useful for adapting my play based on what their deck has in it, and selecting options that will allow me to generate more value than my opponents. I had a fun but frustrating loss to a control priest earlier than took probably 30 minutes, but when it came down to the bitter end I was able to know with relative certainty what 5 of his final 7 cards were and selected plays that gave me the best odds against those cards. He clutched out the win on the back of 1 unanticipated damage that he generated from an Un'goro pack card, but it felt like a very well played game on both sides.

I want to use a deck tracker, but my 5 year old non-gaming laptop is already struggling enough to run the game on the lowest settings, especially after the new expansion.

I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but along with the crashes whenever I try to exit the game, it's also been running terribly, with several hitches and dropped frames since the expansion.

My laptop has a non-existent graphics card, but I used to be able to smoothly run the game with the "high" setting in the options menu. Now it struggles on "low", which leads me to believe the issue isn't my laptop but something with the game. My computer knowledge is also non-existent so I wouldn't know how to fix it even if I could.

Part of me wants to do the HTB, but another, wiser part of me knows that

a) The best deck by far is Pirate Warrior; and
b) To quote a streamer, "If it's a Pirate Warrior mirror, and skill was used to win the game, is there any way to tell?"

I kind of like playing Pirate Warrior every so often for the mindless fun of it, but trying to get a "good" result seems like roulette.

Got my first 12 win run in arena in a while, and of course it's with a ridiculous mage. I would've been disappointed in myself if this didn't go 12:

Fire Fly
Mistress of Mixtures
Arcanologist
Flame Geyser
Shimmering Tempest x 2
Sorcerer's Apprentice
Volatile Elemental
Harvest Golem
Shattered Sun Cleric
Stonehill Defender x 2
Backroom Bouncer
Fireball
Polymorph
Sen'jin Shieldmasta
Spellbreaker
Steam Surger x 2
Twilight Summoner
Water Elemental x 2
Nesting Roc
Silver Hand Knight
Blizzard
Boulderfist Ogre
Meteor
Flamestrike
Charged Devilsaur
Primordial Drake

I didn't think you could drop below 25 but you seem like you've managed to do that somehow if those were the decks being played.

Rank 20, one of the safe ranks to gimmick it up on. Also, without Coldlight I lose that game, he coined Hemet on five and ended up with only two cards left in his deck. Could have had both giants already in his hand, but if that was the case I'm not sure why he would have played Hemet.

I just matched up against and lost to two awful Quest Mages in a row at Rank 15. The stars don't even matter, I just can't believe two players got as lucky as they did twice in a row. It was also the first two times I've ever lost to the deck.

I'm incredibly salty.

On a different note, I downloaded the deck tracker, but turned off all of the in-game tracking other than my statistics so that I can keep track of my winrate with each deck this month. I had only played six or seven games before installing it, so I'm just going to call it a wash and start with what I'm tracking. I started 5-0 with Burn Mage until a loss to a Hunter then the two aforementioned awful Quest Mages.

Quest Mage is bad.

History has been made. For the very first time since the vS Data Reaper launched (May 2016), no deck in the game has a win rate that exceeds 52% at legend. Tier 1 is literally empty,

Was playing casual for a daily quest.

Some idiot rogue left minions out to get killed instead if bouncing them three different times, and won anyway because Swashburgler found a wisps and Caverns is a completely idiotic design choice. The Caverns Below is literally the stupidest thing I have ever seen printed in any card game, and I remember when Magic printed Necropotence and when Force of Will printed Reflect/Refrain. Caverns is by far the dumbest card ever printed. Ever. The level of abject stupidity that goes into making something that dumb exceeds Blizzard's low standards.

This is why there is no tier 1, by the way. It has nothing to do with Blizzard being intelligent and it's actually the literal exact opposite reason. They are so bad at game design that there is no meta. No other company could ever be awful enough to pull that off.
