I'm taking the SuperMarie in for my attempt in a little over an hour. Also swapped out Dark Fina for a second Setzer, and pumped everyone's HP up. I think this would be a piece of cake if I would just finish Dualcast for Refia. That's going to have to be my next priority after Genji Glove is done.

Ah...so My leveling of snow isn't a bad idea...

As for Story- I'm sticking Sakura in for leveling cause damage mitigation is awesome.
Also, of course the Mages think we blew up the library D:
Though, the idea of Rain having Paladian blood...That can be a very interesting plot point to work off of.

It's more to manipulate who dies, since you don't want just about anyone to die in that trial given how big of a screw you the first turn is. (Doesn't help your party gets an ice elemental enchantment to boot...)

It had a super weakness to fire, but what you really wanted was SPR to survive iirc beyond manipulating who died.

Also, new JP update includes Wakka *6, and the next trial is an angry "moose"....

My tips to all you true believers and ****ing lucky people:
- Other than Diabolos and Carbuncle for the mission requirement and non-elemental Odin (and maaaaaaaaybe Golem for his Provoke), DO NOT EQUIP ESPERS! +50% damage is no joke.
- And on that note, check your equipments and characters and make sure nobody has an elemental weakness. Elemental Resist is very welcome
- Pump up everyone's HP, especially your tank.
- Nobody having Provoke was hell
- For some strange, strange reason, Kefka chose to use all of his opening attacks to hit Pecil. Still knocked him down to 50% HP though. For a Mage this guy hits hard with his physicals
- I couldn't do anything to Charm. Fortunately, it landed on CoD, who Kefka decided to kill next turn, so that's all right.
- As long as I kept Protectga/Embolden, Focus, and Omniveil up my party can withstand Kefka's magic and random physical attacks he does each turn. Luckily, when he used Graviga
- His scripted non-elemental AoE magic and physical attacks are a different matter however. Those HURT. If I hadn't pumped up everyone's HP everyone would have died, but as it is CoD still kicked the bucket.
- Stock up on MP items. Seriously. Hope y'all still have Chocolate leftovers (these things are a ****ing godsend)
- To generate Evocation Orbs, I used double Setzer's Red Card, and action permitting, Barrages from Asagi and CoD
- To actually deal damage to Kefka, I had no choice but to entrust my luck to the dice. HEART OF THE DICE! Chaining ****ing helps. A LOT.
- I used the Limit Overkill trick to get the reward. That is, the Limit didn't kill Kefka, but it landed another hit after the clown died.

It took me about 20 minutes to get the orbs for the robe, and about 7 to actually do the kill with 2x Setzer. I got really lucky on the RNG though, 3/5 turns had at least one of them doing max damage on double dice, and two of those were with my dial wield one. I also lucked out and blinded him right before he unleashed his brutal physical attack combo.

From my understanding, if Tilith comes back, the robe will be best suited for her? Since I have extreme doubts about getting Ayaka, I think I'll pull for the next best thing.

That's odd. I just went to use my 5% Moogle from Kefka on Gilgamesh, and I had two of them there. I don't remember getting another one recently, and I've been using them as soon as they come in. Oh well!

What's better though, Setzer + Friend Setzer, or Setzer + Friend most powerful brick I can find.

In this event I'd go with Setzer, since he can be viable every turn. A powerful Noctis would be a good friend unit since he's so versatile (Full Life, covering 3 elements, MP battery), or a good Marie (MVP of the fight). Orlandeau and Fryevia don't do as well in this battle since you have to wait out specific elements for them to really shine. Setzer also has the added benefit of Cursed Card blind right before Kefka unleashes one of his terrible physical AoE swarms.

The funny and sad bit is that Lasswell actually gets slow growth rate at *6, while the rest gets quick growth at all *s so far.... ( As an example Ace gets normal, then slow, Queen is always slow, same with Rem and Orlandeau...)

Whew, actually managed to do it. Got both summons off pretty quick but then it took him like 10 rounds to actually get weak to dark so I could vessel him.
