A lot of people picked Florida Gulf Coast, so if you absolutely had to go 14 > 3, why not go with the more obvious choice?

I guess I can see it doing it because it's Baylor and they've been rather fraudulent in years past, but there was already a trendy one going around. I mean, you'd have been wrong either way. I'm just curious as to why that particular one because I don't remember hearing anyone talking about it.

I actually didn't think Gulf Coast would win their game. Just purely a gut instinct for that one. I thought Oregon was the strongest of the 3 seeds so I decided between UCLA and Baylor.

I picked both NM St and FGCU. I took Oregon but I have a sneaking suspicion they'll be gone soon. UCLA is the only 3 I trust.

It's getting to the point where you should almost definitely take one of those first four 11 seeds every year.

I'm not a big believer in momentum, but getting a game in before everyone else who's had 4-5 days off seems to make a difference

USC was actually random for me. I think Stanford made it to the sweet 16 a couple years ago and my friend and his dad both picked them specifically because my friend goes there for school. So this year I was like my mom went to USC so I'll just pick them to make the sweet 16 and so I did. All they have to do is beat Baylor now!

With Marquette loss and UCLA win I'm now 29 of 31, rank 4703.

24/32, easily the worst I've ever done in the first round.

However, I only have a single incorrect pick moving past today and only to the Sweet 16, which is also unusual for me.

Historically 12 seeds had been winning more than 11 seeds, but not by much. I wouldn't be surprised if that weren't true anymore.

of the top 20 seeds (1-5s x4) only Minnesota didn't make it out of the first round.

And you could argue they were an overseeded 5 to begin with.

A combination of them being over seeded and MTSU being under seeded.

I was caught off guard by that too. I was so certain at least one 1-4 seed would get upset, so I picked one.

I originally picked it thinking Wake Forest would win that game, but when K-State won instead, I kept it because I usually don't change my bracket after the initial runthrough.

Also, I knew the odds of a 1 seed falling on the first weekend are high, so I picked one. Looks like I picked the wrong one augh

I would say that about the Northwestern comeback. That missed goaltending call where the Gonzaga player put his hand THROUGH the rim really screwed them over, and the ensuing technical.
