I dunno if they were underseeded. They played like crap for the last ten games of the season and then finally started playing well again in the Big East tournament. Xavier was good before they hit that late season swoon, but I think Gonzaga is better.

If they're underseeded it's only by one or two lines. They didn't play well enough consistently to top seed anyone in R1.

And ironically, if they had been bumped up a line or two, they very well could be out now instead of in the E8

Xavier was down 3/5 starters from last season while the remaining two were oft-injured, including one going down for the season. This caused them to completely tumble in the Big East standings and in danger of not making the tournament. For them turn things around so quickly and reach the Elite 8 makes the heartbreakers against Kansas St., Arizona, and Wisconsin in recent years all worth enduring!

Got a whole 1 final four team right with UNC winning, and can now get no more points the rest of the way. Glad to be proven wrong about Gonzaga though. Somehow I am still in the top half with 64 points but I'm sure that will change after the final games. Nice job to whoever Xevabis is, getting 3 final four teams. That's impressive this year.
