2) somehow, someway, /pol/ ruined Shia LaBeouf's latest HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US. this time around he put up a flag in a field in the middle of nowhere. the camera was just painted upwards at the blue sky. that's it. that's all the information people had.

within 1 day, the location was generally found.
within 2 days, anons took the flag down and replaced it with a MAGA hat and a Pepe shirt.

Paranoid New Yorkers now have a speedy way out of the city should disaster strike.

Chris Dowhie, co-owner of Plan B Marine, runs a marine evacuation service which advertises the fastest possible way out of Manhattan.

Whether it’s power failure, blackouts, grid failure, bad weather, flooding or a terrorist attack, Dowhie’s clients want to be prepared for doomsday.

“A lot of people don’t want to wait on a line to get on a ferry, and they don’t want to worry about walking off of Manhattan, as people had to do in the past,” Dowhie told The Post.

“They know a boat is the fastest way, and we take the worry out of maintaining and preparing and always readying your vessel,” he added.

Not only does the company promise a speedy getaway, it plans individual evacuation routes for each person, depending on their personal needs.

Dowhie — who believes people can’t rely on others during an emergency — teaches clients how to operate the boats themselves.

“You don’t have a captain. You have to drive this boat yourself,” Dowhie told The Post, adding that in a crisis, people are more concerned with helping their own families than maneuvering someone else’s escape vehicle.

The military boats, one of which is a former Coast Guard vessel, are made to withstand challenging conditions. This particular boat can fit up to 10 people.

“It’s a sealed hull, unsinkable, and it provides rollover protection. As long as your doors are shut, if the boat rolls over, it will self-right itself,” Dowhie said of the Coast Guard boat, which he adds is one of the safest around.

The unique evacuation service costs an annual fee of $90,000 and is catered toward wealthy individuals and corporations who don’t have time to mastermind their own escape.

Clients access the boats with an individual punch-in number, and should they need to abandon it at any time, Dowhie’s company will locate it.

“We track the boats with GPSs, if you leave it at a different location than was planned, we will find it and retrieve it,” Dowhie told The Post.

are you even familiar with this thing. the project wasn't what you're describing, it was never intended to be trolled the way it was. enough so that shia got arrested for assault thanks to people f***ing with him. that is not "oh you're contributing to this," that's "f*** off, that's not what i made this for." after it was moved, its second installation was taken down because gunshots were heard in the area. that is also not "oh you're contributing," there was literally nothing visible and it was explicitly stated to being something unrelated. it was being trolled plenty until then, someone flashed a gun at one point, and that plus gunshots later on was the 'we're taking it down' bit.

i mean you could maybe make your argument for the third but that's squarely in "aha, i was only pretending to be stupid" turf. after f***ing around twice, of course they're gonna play capture the flag. the amazing part's the speed and tenacity to work with next to nothing to find exactly where it is.

I've actually watched the videos so yes I've followed it and that's part of why I'm not a fan. Shia was rowdy as f*** from day 1 and making a show of it, 1000% with the cameras in mind. And "he was arrested for assault" is quite a misleading narration of how the events unfolded. Shia was back the next day and proud as heck because the accuser had no case.

If you seriously think Trump supporters coming in are unexpected I don't know what to tell you.

what's not expected - or desired - is the level, tenacity, or volume. of course some reaction was expected, hell, it was invited. you just don't expect it to overwhelm, to be viewed as the better part, or for a perimeter to be built which literally divides people. you expect a 2/10, maybe 3/10 reaction, not a 9/10 one. you might expect the location to eventually be found, maybe after some clues are given, not that it'd be found within 24 hours with the only clue being literally just the sky. what's not expected or desired is the flag being stolen (guards came after word went down that people found the location) or for it to be replaced with a MAGA hat and Pepe shirt within 48 hours. any plans that could have existed for it were killed off before anyone else noticed and the only reason anybody knows about it in the first place is because of the work put against it.

Assad: No one invited US to Manbij, all foreign troops in Syria without permission are ‘invaders’

Any foreign forces, including those from the US, that enter Syria without invitation are invaders, Syrian President Bashar Assad told Chinese media in an interview, noting that no one had given the US troops currently in Manbij permission to be there.

“Any foreign troops coming to Syria without our invitation or consultation or permission, they are invaders, whether they are American, Turkish, or any other one,” Assad told Chinese PHOENIX TV, as cited by the Syrian state-run SANA news agency.

When a journalist asked the Syrian president if Damascus had “opened doors” for American troops in Aleppo province’s city of Manbij, Assad said “No, we didn’t.”

“What are they [foreign troops] going to do? To fight ISIS [Islamic State, formerly ISIL]? The Americans lost nearly every war. They lost in Iraq, they had to withdraw at the end. Even in Somalia, let alone Vietnam in the past and Afghanistan.”

According to Assad, the US “didn’t succeed anywhere they sent troops, they only create a mess; they are very good in creating problems and destroying, but they are very bad in finding solutions.”

The Pentagon confirmed earlier in March that US troops had been sent to Manbij to prevent conflict between US-backed Kurdish forces and rebels backed by Turkey.

Without foreign intervention, the Syrian war “will take a few months” to bring to an end, Assad noted.

“The complexity of this war is the foreign intervention. This is the problem,” he said.

Syria’s president stressed that government troops are now very close to Raqqa, Islamic State’s stronghold some 100 kilometers from Manbij.

American troops were first spotted in the town earlier in March. Reports emerged at the time claiming that a deal had been struck for the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to hand over some 20 villages in a zone between Manbij and Al-Bab, which had been recently taken by Turkish-backed forces, to the Syrian government.

“They [Syrian forces] are certainly aware of where we [US] are, and we are aware of where they are. There is no intention between the two of there being any conflict against any party other than ISIS,” Pentagon spokesman Captain Jeff Davis told reporters.

On Thursday, the US-led coalition confirmed that around 400 American marines and army rangers had arrived in Syria to establish an outpost to support an operation to take the city of Raqqa. The new contingent adds to the 500 US troops already in Syria. US Air Force Colonel John Dorrian, the coalition’s spokesman, says the new soldiers have been deployed to expedite the defeat of the terrorists in Raqqa.

Correct. It's a less obvious trail to follow, but if you're doing that sort of investigation you're probably getting the information from the mail provider directly instead of rummaging through the inbox/outbox and any company worth anything (Financially, at least. I disagree with the practice on principle) is going to save that information and never delete it ever, so they will have it

the only real advantage is that it would hypothetically protect against your emails being intercepted in transit, because you can have a secure https connection to the email server but the email protocol is unsecured.

That said, simply encrypting your emails also works >_>
