I was not a fan from the beginning. Those vocals are annoying and the instruments take too many breaks. And then a lot of it was just boring. That which wasn’t boring was too much noise and not in a way I found enjoyable in the slightest.

I saw Marco Minnemann last year playing with Satriani, he put down a killer drum solo while the rest of the band took their mid-set break. He got some crazy stamina

I've got a soft spot for Bit Brigade ever since I saw that video a few years back of them playing the Mega Man II soundtrack on stage during a live speedrun of the game, but I'd certainly be hard pressed to think of them as anything other than a novelty act.

Also I wish the music chart series didn't fizzle and die. It surprises me so much it didn't get much steam. I kinda think it's because music chart is a weird name and people weren't clicking on the topic unless they knew what it was then once the user counts started getting lower there was little point.

Funky. Some of the songs just didn’t feel like they fit well though. Happiness Togetherness was completely unexpected after the first 3 and I wasn’t a fan of the transition to it at all. The transition from it to The Groove Line also didn’t work well for me. These issues continued throughout the album were it felt like one slow album and one not slow album randomly stuck together. I was just not a fan of it by the time I finished even though I liked the start

So while Babymetal is a hilarious concept… it got old when listening to an entire album of it though. I like it scattered around in my other music but in a large dose like this it definitely overstays its welcome and just ends up being not enjoyable at all.

Zzz was my reaction to the first song. Thankfully it got better for some of the songs. While I did end up being okay with a couple of the songs(For What It’s Worth being the best) overall the album did stay fairly boring. It was slow and just not creative enough in what it did while being slow for me.

This is my least favorite Weird Al album by far because of two of the parodies on it. TMZ and Party in the CIA are still pretty f***ing bad. Better than the originals yeah but I still don’t ever want to listen to them so that really hurts it compared to his other albums. As far as original songs go none of them on here really stand out to me either and that combined with disliking two of the parodies due to what they are based on just makes it unenjoyable.

It's a weak link for sure, really demonstrates the difference in songwriting talent between Rod Temperton (who went on to write Thriller) and Johnnie Wilder (who didn't do much else). Those first three songs are so ace though!

So the voice itself here was actually pretty cool when it was in the baritone voice. The instrumental strength varied from song to song and the non-baritone vocals were really not great though which ended up hurting it a lot.

I don’t like the falsetto singing. The music was also a bit too slow at times and that with the falsetto singing just meant the album was really enjoyable. I also thought there was entirely too much dead time with no music in the album.
