I also prefer fist or bow weapons. Their attack speed in the field is quite good.

MC is locked to 1H Swords in the PSP version.

The FES AI wasn't incredible, but I never thought it was garbage or anything, except for Mitsuru's obsession with spamming one damn spell.

I really like Yukari, and the part that makes a lot of people hate her in the half-sequel made a ton of sense to me so I don't hold it against her.

You know, when those status effect spells work on bosses, I'm not so angry about Mitsuru having them. It just happens that it's very rare. I mean, how are we supposed to know that'd happen? We've been trained to think status effects never work on bosses.

I mean, it doesn't absolve her or anything, but it's not a meaningless strategy. Just inefficient compared to ICE KILL EVERYTHING!

So uh, I rarely ever control my party anyway. Tbh I don't really think the AI is too bad and I don't find the battle system in this game tremendously engaging either, so it's easier to just let my guy do his deal and let my party run roughshod over everyone.

Why would you want it in an RPG? I like knowing I lost because I suck ass at the game, not because of luck.

FES is the superior version of the game tbqh (ideally would be FES + FemC but you can't have everything I guess)

I heard I won't get the epilogue to this game which makes me super confused why the majority of people say to get the portable version.

Why would you want it in an RPG? I like knowing I lost because I suck ass at the game, not because of luck.

Eh, it's just a matter of preference, I suppose. It's not like I want every RPG to be like that, but there's like an enjoyment of believing/relying on your party members, making it more immersive that I was playing as the MC. Gameplay-wise, I had to consider more in choosing my Personas for elemental coverage, reliability, and such.

The AI's only real problem is its inability to understand healing. You can solve 99% of its problems with offense by switching to Knock Down, but there's no easy fix to get it to cast a full party heal over a single heal when you really need the former. You kind of have to accept that for situations where it is vital healing is done correctly and immediately that you do it and not rely on them.

It depends. If you enjoyed the gameplay then the Answer is fine. You just have to accept it's 90% dungeon and 10% cutscenes. Cutscenes are solid though. Locked hard mode and taking away the compendium is silly though.

I press an attack, mess with my phone while everyone else attacks, then press another attack when I need to.

I don't love the gameplay.

I take it you're not a fan of turn based RPGs?

Eh, it's just that it's not incredibly intuitive to me.

Like I'll just use their weakness, try to knock them down, then all out attack. If that's not possible, then just spam whatever to win. I feel like compared to some other turn based RPGs it doesn't offer quite as much. There's only a few turn based ones I like.
