Noah Syndergaard joined Conor MacGregor as professional athletes who shot cameos for the next season of Game of Thrones.

That's so random, like why did Conor MacGregor get to be on GoT? I know he's popular, but I doubt he's much of an actor. Also, he seems like a big phony and douche, but for some reason those are always the popular guys in combat sports (see also: Mayweather and Pacquiao). I don't watch those sports anyway, so whatever, but when they try to force some kind of crossover appeal it's annoying

Knowing GoT, I doubt he'll have a speaking role. He'll probably just be in the background of a scene and the camera might pause on his face for a second.

Hahahaha.....so I'm seeing on twitter that the Blazers @ Timberwolves game that was supposed to be tonight is postponed because the court is too wet and slippery from Disney on Ice was at the Target Center friday night. Way to go!

He's profoundly dumb. Over the years he's done and said some things that only a very stupid person would do.

@CaptainHammer that's an odd thing to think I would ignore. I just haven't really been talking about it much since launch because I know some people in the topic don't really want to hear about it.

I'm still playing it a lot and having a good time, though I'm not very far in it. I have like 30-40% of the map revealed, but of course the amount of that I've actually visited is much smaller. I'm used to being able to completely play through Zelda games in a week (or less). So far it's done a good job of having something new for me to find out every time I play it, so hopefully I won't get bored of playing before I'm able to finish it, but I don't know with such a drastically different and longer experience. Sometimes I'll have moments of realization that I just spent 15 minutes climbing a mountain without even knowing what's on top and ask myself if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

I miss a few things that they changed from past Zelda games, but overall it's really enjoyable and I think it was a necessary formula shakeup, so they were probably good sacrifices. It's cool how things are familiar enough but different, so it adds to that constant sense of discovery.

Sorry for the super vague terms, but I don't know how much you've played and what you have or haven't discovered yet.

@DorkLink haha sorry for the rude shout out, I was making fun of Eric but I guess you have him on ignore so you didn't get the joke.

Anyway it seems like I've made a little more progress than you but I still have tons to uncover. It's really great. To your point about climbing the mountains though I think that's definitely a good thing at least for a first playthrough. It might wear off by your second or third time through but I think they did an amazing job of making random exploration feel rewarding. The worst case scenario for a long climb is that you get a potentially useful view of the region but there's almost always something else up there too.

Also as a pro tip consider turning the HUD into pro mode if you haven't yet. You'll have to check your map from time to time but it makes the game much better with less screen clutter and less staring at your mini map.

I have the HUD on normal, but I think it's already a lot more minimal than other Zelda games that way. Maybe I should consider turning it onto pro since I usually just have to check the map a bunch anyways.

You're ahead of me? I gotta pick up the slack, I don't even have an excuse since I still don't have a job. Have you generally been staying on the main quest or do you mess around and explore things a lot? I probably could pick up the pace a little, but I prefer to space things out. Also, I generally try to explore a decent amount of each area once I uncover it, rather than just going to a bunch of the towers in a row.

Oh, and the Brock Osweiler thing is hilarious although I think it's less hilarious now that Houston was able to get out of it so quickly

haha maybe Cleveland will actually have a QB that makes it through the whole season as a starter now.

II've been progressing extremely slowly in the plot. I have more of the map than you though and I've done one of the dungeons. I'm just playing a ton.

How many shrines have you done? There are many ways of measuring progress, but that's probably one of the better ones just for a simple comparison. I have four heart container upgrades and three stamina upgrades, so that's 28. I was really gung ho about doing them since they're so easy to find at the start, but they get difficult to find pretty fast, even with the Sheikah Sensor

I think I have five heart containers and three stamina upgrades so I'm +1 on you. It's possible I have four stamina upgrades but I think it's three. I've only got one tower left to get to though.

I think I've got like 16 or 20 more shrine clears than that. I'm probably in first place among us. Still feels like I have shit tons left to do though

Damn, I don't know how you are so far ahead of me, as I've played it quite a bit. Hopefully you've just played a lot more because otherwise that means I suck.

Okay, not really, but I have died a lot. This is probably the hardest Zelda game by far, but since dying is also not a big penalty compared to other ones, I tend to play pretty loose sometimes. It's pretty crazy when you have common enemies that can do attacks that take out like six hearts. I don't think I'd ever seen an attack worth more than four hearts in previous games and even then it was usually just the final boss.

Yeah I get my ass kicked a lot. I don't know if there's any way to track how much you've played on Switch but I would really like to see what I've done. I put in about three and a half hours today and that was probably the least I've played in a day outside of that Friday.

Wii U has an activity log for your games, so I would think they would put something like that in for the Switch, but I haven't really looked around in the menus too much.

I'm sure there's not a death counter, though, which is unfortunate. They seem to have phased those out of Zelda games recently. I remember maxing them out on LoZ and AoL when I was a kid.

No you aren't alone on that. This is the most I've ever died in a Zelda game, easily.

In, ALttP, I'm always disappointed if there's anything other than "Total lives used: 000" in the end credits. I always feel like I failed if I die in Zelda games since they're generally easy but I have to agree that this one looks way more difficult. Even jumping into a freezing lake or falling off a cliff is instant death now, when in previous games it would simply take a few hearts.

The 2D Zelda games tend to be easier in my experience, not counting the first two. But it's not like you die a ton in OoT either.
