Can confirm yes, you get gems upon ranking up in the Special Duel ladder. Worth it to get just to Silver since that's close to 200 free and easy gems.

I'm not able to stay alive long enough to summon Exodia with my deck.

Only reason I have the materials for Mammoth Graveyard is so I can get extra points from Fusion Summoning and it allows me to use Order to Charge. I don't have Crawling Dragon #2 and Bracchion nor do I have three Thunder Dragon's. I would use Common Charity if I could squeeze in more Commons.

I can't abuse Heart of the Underdog since I don't have it :(

I've been using Blue Dragon Summoner and the clown that you get from Flames of the Tyrant to search out Exodia pieces, as well as Mystical Merchant to get the limbs into the graveyard so I can Backup Soldier them. Have also been using Magic Arm Shield and Stray Lambs as stall cards and Mefist as an anti-Exodia measure.

Well, if Merchant gets the head into the GY, you're screwed unless you have Pot of Dichotomy.

I only run one Merchant due to that and usually wait until I get head to set it. Rare that I have all the other pieces before I do head. Worst case I merchant in order to get polymerization faster in order to Twin Headed Thunder Dragon

Do you not get gems ranking up in Silver? Or is nine bugged?

If it works like ranked duels (I'm assuming you're talking about special duel, but either way...), you should get a reward for making it to silver, but after that you don't get anything until you rank up to gold, then to platinum, then to king of games.

Got a 2nd Paladin Dragon SR. Also got that new magician of Black chaos and his summon card, but no SRs from that deck after 500 gems

Still trying to get gandora. I did get black skull dragon though, which means I'll be putting red eyes in my fusions deck and taking out meteor dragon, so I can have 2 fusion optionsl

I did pull the atmosphere last night though so that's cool I guess. I have 2 blockmans now. Does being a higher stage make it more likely to encounter lv 40 yugi? I've stayed at like 37 cause couldn't get motivated but if hitting 40s will make it 40 every time then imma get on that

Is there a certain DP value we have to hit before a Legendary Duelist will even have a chance dropping a UR card? With my Mythical Cerberus deck, I can get up to 7k, which is the best I can do given my cardpool, but even when I hit that value, all I get are Rares...

Pretty sure I beat Tea in the past week with 7000 or so and got her UR Dark Magician Girl, so I don't think so, but I could be wrong. I've beaten Yugi with 8000+ at least a few times and Union Attack is the only non-common/rare that I've gotten to drop.

117 packs into Neo-Impact and still no Ritual Weapon and only 1 Des Counterblow.

Also, I appreciate this event getting me a bunch of SR jewels, but I hate Bakura with a passion now.

Lv 50 bakura was easier than lv 40 imo, but I don't get the point of him going "It's different than my other deck, take your time and enjoy it!" When the destiny board is still in effect.

I'd probably agree with that assessment, but got pissed off last time I tried it when I was set up to get 8000+, but somehow didn't get his Necrofear out of his graveyard.

He special summoned his first Necrofear super early, like 1st turn or 2, so they were sitting next to each other in their graveyard. Naturally, I selected the first one listed, but decided to let the second one be, and picked to remove a different monster along with the 1st with Gravedigger.

After his next turn concluded the destiny board adds a letter and I have no way of Destiny Drawing my second Gravedigger, so two more turns pass and I lose.

I even tried to Autonomus Action Unit his Necrofear just to make sure, and it wouldn't let me, so I'm still baffled as to how I removed the wrong Necrofear.

I also had the game redirect my direct attack on a lvl 40 Bakura's lifepoints (on my final turn that would have netted something like 8700) to his monster in defense position losing me the duel. My finger was on the far right of the screen and the game changed targets as I let go to the only monster he had that was on the far left.

Since then, I take like 5 seconds each time making sure I get the direct attack on his life points. >_>

How do you guys deal with Bakura? He almost ALWAYS starts off with 2 of that soul card that lets him sacrifice my monster to summon one of his own. He gets that 2450 monster out super fast and then I have no real defense against it because I'd have to ritual summon or fusion summon a monster to take it out.

I run my fusions deck, so...yeah. Soul exchange is stupid annoying. Try stuff that switches battle positions? I have both windstorm of etaqua and sphere kuriboh that turns the guy to a much more manageable defensive position.

The worst is when he runs soul exchange with ectoplasmer on turn 1. I have no Sphere Kuriboh. I'd have to check if I have that Windstorm card. I think I only beat stage 40 Bakura once. Got an SR card losing to him though which is better than what I got winning lol

I do not have Windstorm either.

Oh hey I just beat him since he didn't get any of his annoying cards. Won a Draw Pass skill.

Windstorm you get from getting mai to level 25. It's worth it.

Wow I f***ing wrecked him at stage 50 somehow. Had full health, a Paladin of Blue Eyes, a Blue Eyes and a Winged Dragon. He never played anything other than defense monsters that let him pull more monsters when they were destroyed.

I hate Sphere Kuriboh. Hate it even more when I'm doing a f***ing countdown battle like Yami Bakura and he does it twice in a row f*** that bulls***

Yeah sphere kuriboh is annoying cause they could have an empty board but as long as they have a card in their hand you're like "man what if it's sphere kuriboh"

I don't really know what the best way to deal with him is. I looked up different decks and made one as close as I could to one of the higher scoring decks agianst lvl 40, but I also got pretty lucky that I got two Union Attacks from Yugi during the last event.

I use Numinous Healers + Nutrient Z + Enchanted Javelin + Golden Apples + my 1 Dian Keto for healing. Then I have a Des Counterblow for removing Bakura's monsters, and obviously (2) Gravedigger Ghouls to remove his Necrofear from play so I can make it past my 4th turn.

I need to survive as long as I can (and I try to pull all of my deck if possible for max score, but sometimes I don't have enough life points and need to end it earlier to make sure I get the win), and will play:

Gravekeeper's Vassal (has only 700 attack and converts all battle damage to effect damage),

Fusion Gate + Meteor Dragon + Red Eyes = MB Dragon (3500 attack),

two Union Attacks (this adds all monsters' attack on your side of the field to one monster on your field, only that monster can attack, but does no damage to life points - Vassal converts it to effect damage, however, and also never gets Sphere Kuribo'd),

a Secret Passage to the Treasures (lets Gravekeeper's Vassal/any monster with 1000 or less attack points attack your opponent directly),

and finally an Autonomous Action Unit if possible to take Bakura's highest attack monster so that its attack points are added to Vassal.

If it all goes successfully, I have no cards left in my deck, comeback victory, win by only dealing effect damage, low life points victory, and do 10,000+ damage, + whatever glossy cards are played, +destroy a bunch of Bakura's cards.

Oh, and I use Yugi with Destiny Draw, so that I can draw whatever card I want for every 2,000 LP I lose. Problems include bad starting hand and not knowing whether to set Nutrient Z or not.

I don't like to have Des Counterblow plus two healing traps out at the same time (unless one of them is Numinous Healer, and even then I try to avoid it if possible) because I've lost close to a half dozen times since lvl 40 Bakura randomly will stop attacking you leaving your S/T zone full and unable to play the necessary spell cards that are required to win.

Where can I see a list of all the Yami Bakura point rewards? Also I dunno when the event ends.
