I finally caved and made a dino + twin headed thunder dragon deck.

... holy s*** what have I been doing this is cruise control.

Never really got the purpose of thunder dragons in a dinosaur deck. I just go all-in on dinos.

I haven't seen Rex still. Still gotta make a better deck too, but I've pulled all I can and still have no idea.

@TexWolf_1729, just out of curiosity, are you using Life Boost Alpha with Pegasus or Mind Scan with LP boost cards?

I'm not using Pegasus much yet, but Life boost.
Initially I thought mind scan would be great, but after playing against a few mind scans I realized that it just creates a standstill for a few turns while they don't attack because of one of my traps, and eventually I draw a riryoku or suicide a monster to activate Michizure. It can be useful with the right deck, but knowing that you are out of options doesn't help provide a solution.

1000 points allows more survivability, and it keeping a mirror wall up is a good stall. An extra turn of near invincibility seems better than raising my suspicions from 90% to 100% that your face down card is a Yomi ship or Michizure/Mirror Wall.

I pretty much assume the worst face down anyway, because that's often what it is. Going for defense position with pierce monsters or attacking directly are safe. If I want to go for an attack position monster I either swing with something that can withstand (or trade off)a mirror wall (plus reinforcements if they have 2 face down traps), or make sure I have another monster capable of protecting me if the attacker should die.

I got UR Stamping Destruction spell card. Seems like it would go well with Kaiba's dragon deck. I still can't seem to get high attack 4* monsters from my summons though.

Just out of curiosity, how many hours a day do you guys play this?

Maybe an hour altogether, usually I just go in when the stamina is full and do a couple quick fights with the ai.


So I see pegasus was not added as a normal legendary duelist. Now I'm even more glad I got a toon world. But I still think one toon world isnt enough for a toon deck, so I'll have to get pegasus' ability to drop.

I got two Toon World's. I'm set.

On another note, i also don't really see what's so good about Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon. I'd rather build the Cyber-Stein deck using Tea. It's why I haven't bothered to trade for THTD.

I like it because it takes 2 Thunder dragons, each of which have the ability to discard one in order to find two more. Mean if you run 3, there's a good chance you get 1, which is all you need to set up the fusion. It basically is a fusion that only requires you to get one of the cards as opposed to normal fusions where you need both cards.

It also takes up three cards, so if you're running a 20-card deck, you've reduced your effective pool to 16, letting you get actually good draws as opposed to, say, bricking on Meteor Dragon. And if you feel like it, it gets boosted by Umi.

So much this. There's nothing better than opening with 2 Thunder dragons as bandit keith, and knowing I can switcheroo one of them just to get it back that same turn anyway.

Vagabond sure is ridiculous. Started this one out with 3 spell cards. I use De-Spell turn 1 and remove some spell that would let him summon a lv7 monster. I also get BEWD out on the field on like my 3rd turn and what does he do? Well he pulls that magic card I got rid of, summons Dark Magician, uses another spell card that lets you remove a monster from the field if you have Dark Magician and then he proceeds to destroy me because I have nothing that can get rid of DM. Oh yeah he also summoned Dark Magician Girl like the turn after that DM bulls*** thing he did. I really need some good magic and trap cards to prevent combos like this.

This is a good point. Switcheroo is pretty neat. How are his other skills?

His other skills aside from restart vary. He has one called cheaters coin that lets you get heads on all your flips...if you have at least 1000 more LP than your opponent AND at least 5 cards in your hand >.> I just got one called baggy sleeves that lets you draw 2 cards instead of 1 if you had a level 5+ monster destroyed in battle.

I love Switcheroo. My second favorite skill in the game, and great for ritual/fusion decks.
Second chance at a card you want, or dump an unwanted second Thunder dragon or Bubonic vermin. The downside is sometimes you get the same card back. Twice.

Balance (Mako) is more reliable for a normal deck. Either pack 5 super powerful spells traps (or 6/7 if you want to go 24/28 card decks) or make it exactly half and have plenty of combat tricks and answers (especially useful for Mythical Beast Cerebus decks).

You have to get them good cards from the packs though right? I am still trying to build a good deck. I can't even make the basic one I saw for Kaiba listed since I need a couple more of like 3-4 monsters to fill the deck out.

Using a Golden Apples against an opponent with Yami out is hilarious.

Snatched up Pot of Dichotomy as soon as it reappeared, but the no Battle Phase really kills it even though my monster line-up is pretty diverse :(

Also, Card of Sanctity seems like it wouldn't be a bad reset card in this game.

Is there any character I should focus on leveling up? I have Joey at max and everybody else between 1 and 15.

Here's probably the best things you can do:

-Yugi and Kaiba have good cards in the 20's - Fusion Substitutes. Always good to have those. Kaiba gets Lord of D as a drop as well.
-Mai has Windstorm of Equatia or whatever it's called in the 20's. Really damn good trap.
-Bandit Keith's skills are all really good, and he gets Metalmorph at I believe 23. Metalmorph is invaluable.
-I maxed Weevil and I have used nothing. He does get a skill that automatically puts between one and three Parasite Parasides in the opponent's deck (when they draw it they lose 1000 LP, weak monster auto-summoned to their side of the field, all of their monsters become insects).
-Rex sure does exist. He's pretty much set the instant you get Jurassic World.
-Mako has water cards. Honestly everything you can get as drops from him is better than what he can offer through leveling.
-Ishizu is bad until Necrovalley becomes a thing.
-Odion is probably the hardest but the most fun. His skills other than Chain Reaction are crap, but Serket is a monster's monster, Curse of Anubis is a damn good trap card. He can give you a fun gimmick deck and then Curse of Anubis is fun.
-Pegasus gets Toon Rollback in the early 20's, which makes a Toon Summoned Skull OTK beyond easy. Mimicat also exists for a Toon deck. He also gets Mind Scan, which is brutally good.

I didn't get Toon World so Pegasus is probably worthless for me. I don't have Yugi, Rex, Odion or Ishizu yet. I can face Stage 30 people now, but I need to put together better decks to make it through them easier. I have most of the cards for this basic Kaiba one I found. I think I just need that card Mai can drop and 1 more copy each of Faith Bird, Element Dragon and Skull Red Bird aside from the 3 Ancient Dragons since I have 0 of those.

Lost to lv20 Bandit Keith because he equipped 3 spells to 1 monster card (2 on the same turn even I think) so it had like 1,900 defense and 2,200 attack.

Upon review, summoner of illusions will not be going in the deck. I didn't remember that a: He's a flip, and B) YOu have to tribute a monster to get the summon. No thanks

How do you guys handle decks that get a fusion or ritual monster out on like turn 2? I usually lose to them since I lack the firepower to take them out that early on.

I have 2 mirror walls, and I also run an "order to charge" that's really useful for letting the opponent get an uber card and them "poof"

Rex gets Two-Headed King Rex at level 14. You can farm that card too, but you want three of them so may as well get the free one. Mad Sword Beast at level 18 is pretty good too.

I was fortunate enough to get two kaisers and two double coston pretty early on and they've been a staple in all of my non-fusion and non-ritual decks

Edit: I wish you could set cards as "favorites" to access them easily when building decks. I want Metalmorph in every deck and I hate having to search for it

I hate how you can't even seem to use some cards unless you pull another card. That Grarl monster for example. I don't think you can summon him without the axe and I don't have that. I think I have a few other monsters like that too.
