Lost a game because I camped top lane as jungle Nunu because Riven decided to go AFK for the rest of the game.

Didn't even have the common decency to back, either, just went AFK right under tower and fed Malphite and Ryze a kill.

People wonder why I have such a low amount of games played, and I can just point to this game as an example.

God, I'm mad.

Ridiculously quick Evelynn PBE impressions:

- Stealth doesn't leave a lot to the imagination. There's a sight ring around you and it's incredibly obvious when you can and can't be seen. Very user friendly.
- Hate Spike has an AD ratio. The CD increase is noticeable, but won't ruin your life. The range increase also helps a lot with disengages, and might snag you a few sneaky kills.
- Her new W makes her go INSANELY fast. I couldn't believe how much ground I was covering with one rank with regular boots.
- Ravage gives some good AS, not much else to say.
- Her ult's range is really short, but it does max health % based magic damage and gives a 150 health shield per champion hit at level 1. Apparently it gets to 90 seconds of CD, 70% slow, and 25% health in magic damage, but I haven't gotten that far. Definitely interesting.
- As far as I can tell, a bruiser/AD build is ideal. She still gets a lot of mileage out of sheen procs.

Overall, an improvement, but that isn't saying much. I think in time she'll prove to be a very strong jungler, but it might take a while to get there.

So uh... I never played any Xin, but what about him is reworked, exactly? I know that that's a new passive, but I don't remember his old one. And most of the abilities look the same, except they added passive sustain... the thing that Riot said made Irelia OP. Um. k

Irelia and Xin are very similar champions. They are both tanky assassins with incredible lane sustain and once they get ahead of you it's nearly impossible to recover. This is what makes them so hard to balance.

The rework increased more of his strengths: mainly dueling and single target assassination.

Passive: Xin already ran 26 Armor Pen in lane and now the extra 15% will make him very hard to fight 1 on 1. It also lets him scale a tad bit better.

His Q got a AD bonus which is useless because no one maxes out Q but moving the cooldown from W to Q allowed them to move the former Passive to W.

W was always awesome and nothing changed.

E was always awesome and nothing changed.

Xin's Ultimate now makes someone MAN THE **** UP. If Xin gets to your carry and hits his ultimate, he's going to get 1-2 seconds to blow them the F UP.

P.S: Xin has always and will always God Stomp most melees top lane once he gets Wriggles. His sustain makes trading with him a bad idea.


Peaf, in case I wasn't specific enough, let me add this in.

His former passive that they moved to W heals him every 3 hits. The problem was that it scaled with level so it scaled slowly since it got 18 levels. Now that it's on the W you can make it scale FAST. Once you're level 5 and your W is level 3, your sustain should be higher than Irelia's.

Ok so they essentially gave him a second passive, a better ultimate (I always felt his ulti had no umph in it), better late-game, and godly sustain.

I understand why they'd implement the first three things, but considering how hardcore they nerfed Irelia's sustain, I feel it's very odd for them to have given Xin sustain like that. Especially when they're trying to remove sustain from the game.

They're going to nerf him. Period. It's how Xin Zhao works. He's impossible to balance correctly. But his new kit allows them to nerf him without making him unplayable.

The biggest changes were moving sustain passive to W and making his Ultimate knockback everyone except your challenged opponent. Prior to this, Xin's ultimate was pointless for the same reason Madred's is: It's Magic Damage.

Now? Your Carry is in trouble if Xin lands it. If the knockback is significant enough, your carry is all alone with no one to peel. If they don't have flash they're popped in the air. Dead.

I wouldn't know, I have only played him during free weeks a bit. And most Xin Zhaos I've seen HAVE basically sucked. It might not have been the champ, but people definitely don't know how to play him well then.

I'm not saying they do actually want to remove it completely or that they should, just that the direction they've been going in for some time now is to nerf things that regain hp (other than hp regen) because seeing an enemy's HP bar shoot up after you blow everything on them is anti-fun.

They're mostly gutting sustain in the bottom lane and in extreme cases like Irelia.

Bot lane is like a freaking contest of who gets nerfed hardest.

Most Xin's play Jungle Xin. Jungle Xin doesn't work because

A.He's slow unless he spams abilities. spamming makes him blue dependent. This is a bad thing. The people who rule the jungle nowadays are AOE clearers who can keep up in levels and CS(Udyr Nocturne Mundo Lee Sin) or support junglers who transition well(Maokai Nautilus)

B.So easily kited. His slow is negligible at early levels. Getting all 3 hits of Q off without getting CC'd is nearly impossible. Early levels is all Xin has in the jungle. See the problem.

C. Xin needs farm. Alot of farm. The reason Irelia can dive teams and escape is because Triforce at 20 minutes in is friggin strong. As is Wit's End+Warden's Mail. Give Xin these items at 18-20 minutes and he's going to blow people up, too.

Sustain loses to burst: Soraka loses to Blitz Leona. Her heals mean nothing when you're bursting with ignite.

Burst loses to Poke: Leona loses to Janna. Leona can't initiate when she's at half health.

Poke loses to sustain: Janna loses to Soraka. Soraka's team initiates trades and then recovers.


The real problem is that top lane is run mainly by guys who can sustain themselves infinitely. Shen/Udyr/Irelia/Vladimir/Kennen.

The one aggressive support that Soraka can shut down is Taric because she can just silence him when he appears. But, in the ever flowing, ever balanced cycle of bottom lane, Taric can poop on Blitz.

Taric sits in the line of fire and dares Blitz to pull him in. All it does is pull him closer to the carry who will now be stunned and shattered without any peels from Blitz.

If a Soraka wards the lane brush there should be almost no reason for anyone to ever be grabbed.

It is very, very easily avoidable and if Blitz tries to sit in a position to go for a hook in that brush most ADs can poke him without mercy.

Chris it's not always that easy to just say "ward brush against Blitz" as Soraka.

What happens after Soraka gives mana to her Carry. She's now unable to silence Blitz for around 10 seconds. Blitz and his carry can now zone her for 10 seconds and she can't do a god damn thing about it. They can initiate trades in this 10 seconds and again, nothing she can do about it.

Even worse, these trades can lead to someone getting 100 to 0'd once Blitz hits 6. Blitz came back into the scene simply because of his ability to do this to Soraka. Soraka can't just throw mana on her carry whenever she wants to when Blitz is around.

I've never had a problem against Blitz as Soraka when I ward brush.

I'm no pro or anything but it's pretty easy to just ward the brush, stay behind the minions after giving mana, wait 10 secs, repeat, wait it out

Well it is hard to play what ifs here because, for example, several ADs are able to effectively play their lane without needing mana. Also stuff like Ez, Ashe, Cait, later on Trist, can harass a Blitz. Blitz is a good champion and all but there are many characters who don't need a lot of mana to avoid harassment and stuff like Trist/Corki/Graves can troll a Blitz's grab.

From my experience if that brush is warded Blitz is done.

I like Blitz more mid-to-late-game than early game. A good Blitz will win games for you by initiating teamfights with his grab and knockup.
